Color Wow Dream Cocktail Kale 200ml

I very much enjoy this [brand:color-wow] Dream Cocktail Kale I fusion. It’s a treatment product when applied to damp hair followed by heat styling, activates and helps to reduce breakage and strengthen hair while providing some heat protection. I don’t always blow dry my hair, so I reserve this product for when I do. I split my hair into two section and apply two pumps to each on damp hair, and then wait a few minutes before I begin blow drying with a round brush. The product is a thin cream with slip, so as long as I don’t overuse it, I do not feel like my hair has product or a weighed down feeling to it. I’m about 1/2 through the bottle, and while I do think it’s effective to prevent damage. I’m not sure that it’s a miracle product in terms of repair. A hard NO for me...

I'm convinced this product is a complete hoax - have tried it multiple times as directed, then blow-dried my hair and was left with thin, flat, lifeless hair. Not only that, but my hair seemed a lot drier and had more frizz. There was no volume whatsoever. I'm also convinced the before and after picture in the photo is bogus - there is no way that girl could get that much volume in her hair from this product. That volume, lift and style in her 'after' picture is either from giant velcro rollers, a curling iron or a blow-out by a professional hairdresser (or likely from all three combined). Save your money. Glad I only bought the small size as it's going in the garbage.

Absolutely devastated!

I ordered this duo just before Xmas having fallen in love with the dream coat spray which I got in the November beauty box. I was unsure about ordering the coconut dream cocktail as I noticed mixed reviews mentioning it had actually dried hair out, but thought I would give it a go anyway. I can honestly say the dream cocktail is the worst hair product I have ever used! It has beyond dried my hair out, so much so I have had to wash my hair every day for 4 days, continually using dream coat spray just to help it. I am contacting LF customer service as people have mentioned possibly a bad batch?! But bottom line is I wouldn’t touch the stuff even if they were giving it away for free! Amazing price and scent, product really works

I had a sample size of the dream coat and really hadn’t worked out how to use correctly, saw a vid online and bought the full size - it’s a game changer. Saturate your hair in the dream coat and blow dry, use tension and it leaves hair pretty smooth and shiny. I will caveat that it isn’t perfect and I think it does depend on your hair type but the difference in mine is enough for me to give 5* as I know texture wise it can’t fully change but it does enough that I love the product. I don't normally leave reviews but I had to with this one. Oh. My. God. This has totally changed my life. I can't believe how silky soft and frizz free my hair is after using this, and it really does last the 3 washes! My hair is like GLASS! and this is coming from a girl who has such thick frizzy hair that has had alot of chemical damage over the years. I was nearly at my wits end as every product I seemed to use didn't cut it, and was still struggling with dry hair and split ends, however this product has made my hair LUXURIOUS!. After using it when I blow dry it my brush glides through my hair like silk and don't have half as much split ends! Good product, smells amazing!

I have incredibly frizzy, thick, and what can best be described as ‘FLOOFY’ hair—especially when humidity hits it. I rely on leave-ins otherwise I look like a poodle who electrocuted itself. This leave in does basically what it says it will; it’s hydrating, makes my hair smoothed and prevents frizz. I do feel the name “dream cocktail” is slightly overdoing it, as it doesn’t make my hair super silky like it claims it will. It does work great for my thick hair and doesn’t weigh it down like a lot of other leave ins do. So my final verdict is that it does the basic functions like most leave ins do. It’s nothing super special but something that does the job nicely and also smells like an absolute dream! It’s a gorgeous floral and coconut scent without being too suntan-y.

Great leave in, even for fine hair

I've used Redken United 21 for years. I have learned it's good to try new products every now and then, because something might be a bit better than what you're used to. Recently, my long, fine colored hair was still somewhat dry after using the Redken product. After a little research, I decided to try this. Plus I love the Colorwow shine spray, anti frizz spray, and money mask - all are awesome products. I tried two pumps of this leave in today, and was super impressed. My hair was so smooth and sleek afterwards, and after giving it a quick curl with a 1" barrel, it had some volume to it that stuck around. So although it says for medium to thick hair, this works really well on my fine hair. I bought this in HIGH HIGH hopes, because I absolutely LOVE the dream coat spray. This was not for me apparently. I have fine hair, some color damage, and recovering from some medication hair damage, so I was looking forward to adding this. It leaves my hair feeling like wax covered hay strands. It doesn't have a strong smell which I appreciated, but the fact that it leaves me with the worst hair texture, especially after blow drying, I hate that I cant use it. I have used it for pool or lake days, but it still leaves me with that dry and stiff texture... sad.

best primer for damaged hair

This stuff is absolutely amazing for damaged or color treated hair. I use this on damp hair (mid length to ends) and then I blow dry and style as usual. I notice a lot less damage and dryness when using this and feel like it helps my blowouts last longer without getting that brittle feeling after a few days. It also smells great. Make sure to follow instructions and use with heat! Like the dream coat, it’s activated with heat so using it as a leave-in won’t do anything for you. The only reason why this doesn’t get 5 stars is because the packaging is not great - the pump stopped working after the first few uses but the product itself is fantastic.

I will definitely be repurchasing this product. I initially bought it due to having tried the dream coat and being so impressed that I just had to try the other products of this brand. My natural texture is very frizzy and this product helps manage it when I blow dry my hair. It is also very lightweight and doesn't make my hair greasy. I have never tried the coconut/smoothing cocktail and I don't think I'd need to because this one gives great smoothing results. I also always use this in combination with the dream coat. I usually also use it in combination it with the carb/volume cocktail as I want my hair smooth but not too flat.
