It is great :) We set it up in the back of our ute (enclosed) for the dogs and it works a treat.

Was great for first 2 charges.Almost useless now, runs at lower speed only when plugged in, can manually charge battery if I take it out of cooler

We purchased the Companion Maxi Evaporative Cooler for use in our campervan. The cooler managed to stir the air at night but was fairly ineffective in providing actual cooling.Recharge times are quite long and was more effective being connected to an external power source.

Its a good portable size, works well overnight when its not overly hot (EG: late 20s early 30s)If you try using during day to sleep in camper trailer it struggles for anything from 29degrees onwards. If you were undershade it might be better. But definately better than nothing
Cool breeze compared to ambient temp. 6-8hr charge is pretty poor for 6hr Max run time. Expensive for what it is.
A little noisier than I expected, but worked a treat. Unfortunately after only a couple of uses it started playing up and not holding charge or not actually switching on! I hope it was just a one off faulty product as it was replaced (by tent world) with a slightly different model (free of charge ).
It?s a great little cooler.Doesn?t use much space.Makes your camp so much more enjoyable and pleasant.
No cooling functionality whatsoever. Company refuses to refund as per warranty, with the following response:"I have managed to track one down and I have tested it in the meantime to see the possible issue.I have found that even with the cooler engaged there is a minimal temperature change in a moderate temperature environment. In a dry environment reaching higher temperatures and with lower humidity is where this cooler will be at its most effective. That being said in humid environments it will slowly get less effective the higher the humidity rises. For these reasons we believe that this item is functioning as intended and therefore is not deemed a warrantable fault."
We'd probably need two of them to cool our medium sized tent on a hot day but if you're sitting close and directly in front of the unit, it's effective when running the evaporative component. Running the fan alone, doesn't quite work as effectively as standalone fans, probably due to its size. The unit is a good size and being battery operated is a real bonus - recharges well on USB. We also find it handy to use at home so overall it's good value for money.
We just used this cooler for out last trip and it work very well at night time cooling the canvas tent into a comfortable sleeping space. Using battery power or mains it gives me good options for where I want to put up camp.
