This unit works quite well for a low-cost unit and is easy to use. I like the wide front opening for filling the water. It's also wide enough to put a large ice block or two in as well which makes the air even cooler than water alone. It is quiet in operation. The only criticism is that the lights showing the settings are not overly bright so you have to look closely to double-check that you pressed the selection buttons correctly. This would, however, be a good thing when using it in lower light settings such as the bedroom at night.

As other reviewers suggested, on hot days you need to start early - don't wait for a room to get hot before using it because it's an uphill battle.Keep plenty of refreeezable ice packs in the freezer and rotate them throughout the day for the coldest possible air.On the lowest setting it's somewhat loud - more than a pedestal fan on high - but that wasn't an issue for me. In fact, it's a kind of brown noise, so if anything it helkps clear your mind and get to slkeep faster ) YMMV of course.

This product was on-special at the Goods Guys and we were looking at a cheaper alternative to air-con. It's easy to operate - just pour the water into the reservoir from the front panel open and position the vents and then choose your setting. The sales guy said that it would be cooler than a celling fan, but not as cold as air conditioning. This is a spot-on description and it certainly does the job for us. Adding some ice or ice bricks to the water definitely makes a difference. Very happy with our purchase.

The cooler leaks everywhere and does not have a high fan flow even on top speed. Even with ice water and ice packs the cooler needs to be at least an arm length away for cooling effect. I wouldnt recommend it.
This does exactly what it says it will which is provide a cool breeze. It is not designed to "cool a space" like an air con but the fan is stronger than a pedestal fan and it has a swing feature on the internal louvres. You set the external louvres to the vertical angle you want and the internal louvres can swing to move the air horizontally around the room or stay stationary.. The water reservoir is easy to fill and takes large freezer bricks so you can cool the water and air further. I was surprised at how long the water lasts in the machine. I only fill once a day and have it going from 7.30am to 7.30pm. I leave the doors open and have no humidity issues at all.
This product is fantastic we use it in our large bed room and lounge and lounge room when the days are 35-40 it has a remote control Which is super convenient and 3 settings to play with. We brought some extra ice blocks from wool worths to rotate them only the really hot days. If your expecting this to cool your whole home you have to be realistic but its a Fantastic addition
It is a brilliant fan in its own right. The cooling system seems to work if you load it up with a bag of ice and it is not too hot. But as soon as it gets too warm or humid it doesn't do much. We used it in our master bedroom and have decided to keep it based on how good the fan is alone. But don't bank on the cooling if its a very hot night.
I bought 2 for my children's very small bedrooms. I loaded iced water and the frozen ice packs. If you stand directly in front of the unit it is cool for a short while but then just blows air. I understand that this is really all it can do but I think it's important to point out that it really is just a fan, not a "cooler" of any kind.
Not an awful product, does not bring down temperature if it is very hot but does make the room bareable. Can be used as an air conditioner or as a fan. I felt like the room was a bit moist when being used and it did have a slight smell to it. Not terrible for the price. Very lightweight and has good wheels. Easy to wheel out and empty the tank of water. Has a remote that is useful when baby is sleeping I can just use the remote. Does beep when pressing any buttons which is annoying. Overall I'm happy.
It is a nice evaporative cooler, does not consume too much energy. However it works only if youre sitting right in front of it if its really hot. It will not cool down even a small sized room. The water tank is not removable - I might have read somewhere that it was supposed to be removable. It is therefore not as easy to remove the water and clean. Overall it is a satisfactory buy for a lower end product. Itd be more value for money if it would cool down the room at least a little bit but well!
