I purchased the cooling appliance for an old lady who lives in a caravavan and she has just got out of hospital. I discussed this with the sales lady who advised me that it would be ideal as it actually would cool the caravan. The cooler does not cool the van at all. I took a normal fan around to her and the fan done a better job then the cooler.

Unfortunately this does not work well. It looks very nice. Easy to move around but unless im directly in front of it within 10cm of it i do not feel the chillness of the water. I feel like i paid a lot of money for a fan. When i switch from evaporative cooler to just fan feature the difference is miniscule.

Use this with the windows open otherwise you end up with a humid and hot room. But when used like this, it cools you directly really well. It wont cool a room but should be used to blow cold air on you. Its not like aircon and wont replace it, but for what it is, this is great. The large tank means Im not always filling it up and, when you add small ice packs to the tank, like small Coleman Packs, it really helps the evaporative cooler. Its a good solution for specific purposes.

I live on the gold coast and was unable to put in a portable air con so bought this evaporative portable air conditioner and im very happy with it. It takes the room temperature down by 10 degrees or more. Its alao good to be able to run it as a fan on less hotter days. I have ceiling fans and find this to be no noisier than them when there on high. Very pleased with it.
This cooler is easy to use and works really well as a cooler and a fan. I'm very happy with this model as it has a sleep mode so you can leave it on all night and it doesn't disturb your sleep
Very noisy, not good at night. Does not cool enough and cooler function malfunctions. It does not cool even with the ice packs and cold water. The ice packs are so small too and would have little effect. The cooler button use to work until 2 months ago, it started making a alert sound in the early hours of the morning. Now when you change the water after 1 min the alert sound goes off and cooler light turn off. Now that covid is over I will be contacting Good Guys to bring it back for an exchange or refund.
In Jan 2020 bought one for very hot dry days 33-43 degree day. Even after filling with water & ice block the air coming out was warm 31 degrees for several hours as indicated by in-built temp gauge (I sat 1feet in front of fan). Might be ok for moderately warm days but not effective for hot dry days. A normal fan would have done same job for 1/5 of the price. Good Guys declined to refund despite not fit for purpose. Very disappointed with product & service.
Nothing wrong with the machine, but not worthwhile for our home in Inner Western Sydney. It sounds good in theory but provided a one degree drop in temperature, with added humidity in what is already a humid environment, under 30 degrees. After a few hours of use at full speed, with ice bottle in the water tank replenished every hour, the air that came out of the machine felt ironically less refreshing than our old 30cm 'desk' fan. Even the small 7 litre unit is a reasonably large machine that takes up significant space, but without significant benefits for us, especially considering the price comparison with non evaporative fans.
Didn't seem to cool, unit output was at 27 degrees (which was cooler than room temp) but wasn't having much affect on room temp. l expected better performance for the price. Have since stood in front of other portable evaporative units and they reduce the temp markedly more than this item.
The product wouldnt cool the room - it was 30 degrees and after using it all day and putting the ice packets in a whole container of ice, the room was still 30 degrees. Very disappointing. Dont waste your money on this terrible product.
