D-Link DGS-108 8 Port Gigabit Desktop Switch

Currently the enclosure is used for a DVR external HDD and has had no issues. It would be nice if it automatically restarted after a power failure instead of having to physically press a button.

I now have two of these at home; one for the TV lounge media and one for the home office. Like: simple setup, the heft of the metal case, it just works, set and forget. Recommended to buy.

We got this for our new home which has a full internally wired system. Works exactly as it says it will. Solid durable case and a great reliable brand.

Bought this to tidy up my network devices in our living room. While some of my devices have wi-fi connection, some of the others don't. I purchased 7 different coloured 1.5m Cat6 cables to identify each device at the same time. Plugged in my Blu-ray player, Chromecast, SkyTV box, Xbox, Android TV & have 2 more ports free to use at a later date. Plugged in 1 cat6 cable into router socket & it's all go. Shows Green & orange lights on port advising speed range. Would recommend as easy setup.

It's basically silent. It does what it says. Nothing to complain about. It was pretty cheap. Made of metal so it's rather durable. Used for a couple months with no issues. Overall it was easily worth the price.

I needed a new network switch the old one was dropping ports and data (15 years old) , A gigabit switch is a huge step up from a 10/100 one even network shares from a linux machine using samba showed a huge improvement... Installation was simply put some screws in to underside of desk! slot unit to screws then Plug In power and then the network cables! and Just Forget it just works!

Good unmanaged gigabit switch. Value for money. I had wired my house with Cat 6 cable (7 cables running into rooms) and wanted to get internet backhaul for my wifi routers and TVs and desktops. Great connectivity and fantastic speed. Highly recommend this switch

Burnt out after 20 months of use

This worked fine, simply plug and play. However, after 20 months of home use, it burnt out and had to be replaced (with a different brand). Don't believe that sales pitch about longevity and quality.

Excellent value, fast switch Simple, fast, easy to setup. Can tend to drop the primary link if the network has a "hiccup", but not an issue generally as almost instantly on and running.
