I have the 5000 paired with the 8ft ODM DNA. This reel is amazing. It’s smooth and sturdy. I can’t recommend this reel enough. I’ve put a great number of hours and fish on this reel and it hasn’t skipped a beat.I accidentally used oil on the line roller but nothing bad happened. Keep in mind that this reel is magsealed when you try to service it.Overall this is my absolute favorite reel of all time.

This is one badass little reel. It's super lightweight and crazy smooth when turning the handle. I caught a 42 inch snook on this little guy and definitely impressed by it. Perfect for inshore & freshwater fishing. Also has some sealing in it to keep salt and sand out.

Smoothest reel that I own. Fairly quiet but above average. It needs more line capacity or use lighter braid. It broke my record for casting distance with almost no line left on the spool with a 2oz lure. With a bigger gear it feels strong for its size and gear ratio. It does spin more freely once you break it in a little.
Been fishing for decades now and mostly been using bait casting reels, but I tell you this reel is awesome Daiwa Certate LT 4000D-C. I caught some yellowtails, bonito,skip jacks etc, and no problems it will catch anything. This reel has 26.4 pounds of drag and really light tackle, you could fish all day with it. highly recommend this reel you won't regret.
I have three Certate LT's a 2500, 3000CXH and a 4000, I have caught probably a 100 Salmon between them and they are still butter smooth just as they were out of the box. the drags are smooth and very strong. this reel series has very good sensitivity through the handle, you can feel exactly what your lure is doing when cranking and yet they are able pull high resistance lures easily, they do not have that smooth but numb feeling a lot of Shimano's have. If you are thinking about a Stella take a serious look at the Certate they have converted me from 30 years of Shimano's they are every bit as good, in my opinion even better. Daiwa hit a home run with these no doubt.Kurt
You don't need a reel this expensive to catch fish and it probably doesn't make you any better of a fisherman. However if you are passionate about fishing and want to enjoy your experience out on the water to the fullest, why not treat yourself to one of the best reels made. It's silky smooth and you can feel the quality on each cast and each retrieve. If you can afford it, you should own one.
This is a high-quality real. Extremely smooth, super easy bail closing action. The drag is silky smooth but what I especially like is the low start up inertia required. With superior line capacity to comparable Shimano models this is a super high performer. The reel came with a nice quality felt real bag.
Top 6 reels in the world!18 Stella FJ, 18 Exist LT, 19 Certate LT, 19 Vanquish, 19 Stella SWC, and 20 Saltiga are the best spinning reels for me.As soon as I got 19 Certate from TackleDirect, I upgraded 2 ball bearings for spool and main shaft so it gets full ball bearings like 18 Exist LT, plus Daiwa SLPW ALUMINUM ROUND KNOB. If you spend enough money on this reel, you don't wanna buy Chinese made round knobs and ball bearings.
This reel is mind blowing. It’s one of the smoothest reels I’ve ever handled. This thing has one giant main gear that helps in cranking on that fish on the other end. It features a lot of stuff from it’s bigggg brothers the saltigas and man it’s absolutely the best thing you can honestly but in this price range right now
