Damp rid products are designed to collect the liquid which is good. The only downside we have found to this product, is that if you spill the liquid on carpet is is hard to remove. The 2 lb 12 oz = 44 oz pouch holds enough damp rid to refill the damp rid cup 4 times.

Dampness does not stand a chance.

We place these 11 oz. containers in our bathroom, under the kitchen counters, closets, any where there is a possibility of dampness. The product is very easy to use and lasts easily for a month at a time. They have a new decorative design that is nice but not necessary for it to do it's job. The directions on the shrink wrapped cover may be hard to read but once I scissor off the outer wrapper, directions are printed on the inner container.Do not let the product contact leather or metal, avoid contact with your skin or eyes. Exc product that does its job of controlling excess humidity. You already know this because you are buying refills. But the plastic bags it comes in are TERRIBLE (re-seal strip never works). Either use ALL at once to refill about 5-7 containers, else know you'll need to seal any remainder in a high quality Ziplock-type bag, because this refill bag's sealing strip does not adhere to the inside of the bag - ever! The adhesive DampRid uses to attach the strip just doesn't stick! Tape or staples also do not adequately keep moisture out of the remaining product. I find that a "Ziplock Double Zipper" bag work best, and - at least - can be reused many times.

Great smelling DampRid Refill!
5 April 2022

Every RVer knows that Damp Rid can be a RVer's best friend. Humidity in a closed RV allows mold and mildew to grow. Damp Rid works to reduce humidity without power - and a stored RV rarely has power available. Damp Rid is the answer - especially the new scented varieties. I put out several containers of Damp Rid throughout the coach (stored in humid north Georgia). Damp Rid is so effective that I have to dump the water out of them frequently - and refill them with additional moisture absorber. The Lavender Vanilla scented Damp Rid performs double duty - reducing humidity while it makes the interior smell very much like a meadow full of wildflowers! Perfect for enclosed storage
5 April 2022

I’ve been using DampRid for years. It is most helpful in keeping cabinets and closets, dry because a dehumidifier or AC can’t get to air that’s behind a solid door completely. Spaces that sit against an underground concrete wall/floor that absorbs ground moisture remain especially damp, even when the room air is conditioned. This is an excellent solution for those type spaces where storing items that can get damaged, i.e. textiles, paper products and some woods. This fresh scent is pleasant. It’s simple to use. Just fill the top cup (that has cutouts in it and sits in the larger water collection cup) with the crystals and put the openwork cover on. As the crystals collect moisture they dissolve and drip water and residue into the bottom cup.If you don’t have the DampRid cup system or need another in a pinch, you can make one many ways such as drilling tiny holes in the bottom/sides of a plastic cup or use a small kitchen sifter or an old pour-over coffee cone and set it in/on another container that holds it up from the bottom enough to keep it mostly separate from the water that collects in the bottom. Check out my pictures to see a couple of small and large options I’ve made, but of course the DampRid cup system is the best option! Each refill of the 10oz cup lasts roughly 30- 45 days, depending on humidity levels and qty. of crystals used. The only issue I had is that the zip seal on the first bag I opened refuses to seal, so I had to tape it closed. The bag must be sealed airtight or it will become a moist mess.Highly recommend DampRid for small and enclosed spaces.

I have used Damprid for years now because it works. Really easy to use. I use any old container when i run out of the branded ones. Perfect for our dirt basement and musty front porch. We used to use this in our basement - now we use it in our closets

The Morher-In-Law has used DampRid for years and loves it. We tried it at her urging (insistence if we knew what was good for us) as a result my wife has become a believer. We’d use in the basement laundry room to lower the dampness and semi locker room ambience that was always present. We solved that issue entirely when we moved to the South Carolina Low Country (no basements here). Now we use the smallish 11 oz (I think) container in each of the closets to lower the always present humidity while freshening things up a bit.The product starts out like old fashioned soap flakes which are poured into the top screened part of the storage container gradually morphing into a solid lump before it evaporates into a liquid at the bottom of the of the can. Once the lump is used up the resulting liquid gets flushed and the process starts over. Easy peasy. The 2lb 12oz bag is good for four refills. At our old house the DampRid packets would last 4-6 months so I’m expecting similar results here. The scent is quite tolerable and the wife says really likes it therefore I do as well!

What a Pleasant Surprise!

I ordered these DampRid 11 oz. Pure Linen Scent Moisture Absorber Refills because we had a problem with the washer drain in our laundry room that kept backing up and spilling water all over the laundry room and the adjacent pantry floors. After two plumbers spent 5 hours snaking the drain line and finding that it was never connected to the septic system, the drainage problem was fixed. However, the dampness in the pantry closet still presented a very musty smell long after I had cleaned up all the spilled water and moved everything off the floor. Hence, I was thrilled when I saw DampRid moisture absorbers. Once I opened the sealed bag and dumped the absorbent pellets into the container it was ready to go to work in the pantry. I highly recommend this product,
