Amazing

This stuff is amazing. I spritz it on morning and night right after cleansing and it gives me that much needed immediate hydration. It is such an easy product to incorporate into your routine. After spraying I wait a minute then complete the rest of my skin care. I have very sensitive, oily and acne prone skin and this doesn't irritate or break me out. I feel hydrated, toned and refreshed. I just love it!

Better for dry skin types

I received this with a GWP. This type of spray is not for me. I think there is an oil in it, and that always makes me worried that my products won't be able to penetrate my skin properly. So I wouldn't be able to use this in my toner/essence phase of my skincare routine. I see that it can be used throughout the day to help hydrate your skin. I am oily, and I just get oilier as the day progresses, so I never need a little spritz of something to keep me going. I need oil blotters and powder! This remindes me of the super popular Sioris Time Is Running Out Mist which people go crazy over. That is also a mist which has oil in it. I tried that as well, and again, I think it's not needed for oily skin. I think people with a dry skin type cannot produce enough of their own ... MoreI received this with a GWP. So basically a nice refreshing spritz from this spray will help refresh the skin and add a bit of oil back to your skin. So I am giving this 4 starts as it's a good product, it's just not for me.

Easy to apply…no cotton pads needed.

I used a very popular name brand toner for years. This was the typical kind that you squirted on a wasteful cotton pad and smeared on your face. It worked but also felt like it was a rough way to apply. This feels so refreshing to spray on your face and you feel the hydration it provides. I have not seen the firming effect yet, but it’s only been a few weeks and I know it takes a while to see true results when you start a new skincare routine.

Excellent toner alternative

My aesthetician swears by this so I tried it, too. I love it. I was religious about toners before as I always need something to hydrate and balance after washing my face so was hesitant, but this does the trick perfectly. I use both morning and night. In the morning it’s the only thing I use (just spray and pat in) and at night I use the age smart resurfacing cleanser, followed by the daily exfoliant then the mist and then a moisturizer. Smells great, too. My one comment (and I’m very sensitive) is to wipe your eyes afterward because inevitably it will get on your lids and for me I would have a little irritation.

Great add to your daily routine

This is very new to my skin care routine, and I am not one to keep a new habit unless it really adds some value. So far I am very happy with this product. After cleansing my face I spray this on and let it dry before applying moisturizer. It has been about 3 weeks and I can already tell my face is brighter and healthier. Also, the spray nozzle is much improved on this. I had been using the Active Toner for a little while, and it felt like I was spraying my face. I always ended up with lots of product and feeling like I had just stepped out of the shower. This has more of a misting affect and seems to cover everything lightly. Very happy.

Optional extra? Nope

I’ve been using this as part of my recommended routine from Dermalogica’s online skincare tool. Economising I thought I could give hydramist a miss and I wouldn’t notice it , so the last bottle ran out and I didn’t buy another. It was evident from the first time I left it out that it was missing by my skins response. I was very surprised- what can a few spritz’s of hydramist really do right? Without it my skin was dramatically thirstier- the products I routinely applied after hydramist soaked into my skin needing more to fully cover and the increased amount of products my skin needed to try to compensate for hydramust not being used totally Vance out any money saved from not buying hydramist. Bought a bottle shortly after and established my routine once again.

Prefer Ultra Calming Mist

I will first say that I bought this on accident and intended to buy the Ultra Calming mist and accidentally picked this up instead. I used it and didn't realize until after the fact. I love Dermalogica and was willing to try it. The smell is ok, and the texture is ok. I do see a nice glow on my skin when I use it, especially under makeup. What I'm missing is the refreshing, cool feeling of a mist like the other one gives you - it's a mix of a literally coolness with hydration that really soaks into the skin. This mist sorta does it but it's just different. I like it enough to keep it and finish it, but will return to using the correct one when I'm done.

Strong Clove smell is a barrier to using this product

I wanted this to work so badly because it has great supportive ingredients for my mid-30s skin, but I could not tolerate the scent, especially being so close to my nose. One spray was adequate coverage for my whole face, but after letting it dry and going about my day, the smell started giving me a headache and I had to re-wash and redo my entire morning skincare routine to get the smell off. I am a longtime Dermalogica user of 16+ years and appreciate that they don't use added fragrance, but I can't understand why Cloves are added to all the Age Smart products. It's literally an elderly woman's scent. We're trying to be more youthful by using the anti-aging products, not become our grandmas!

firms the skin. like a toner without the dryness.

i absolutely douse myself in this stuff. it is great to use straight out of the shower. it has a tightening effect, so it feels like it helps to shrink my pores back up. it's not drying at all like a toner would be. lovely scent, very faintly smells of rose. it has a slight tackiness as it dries, but it doesn't leave any sticky residue. is sealed in beautifully by moisturizer tip: i store mine in the fridge for extra coolness 4/5 because i feel like i have to do like 5+ sprays for it to feel like there is anything on my skin, but the formula works great otherwise and is a beloved step in my skincare routine
