Dermalogica Breakout Clearing Booster | Clear Start

It works great:) I use this as a preventative against pimples so I cover my entire face in a thin layer in the morning and at night after cleansing my face. It purges you’re face when you first start so expect to break out before your skin gets better :) after about a week my skin started to look smoother and my blemishes were noticeably duller which is a good thing. It leaves a shiny finish which may not be what everyone is looking for but it works for me. I normally cleanse, use this product, and finish with a moisturizer. It doesn’t dry out my skin but is for sure follow up with an spf/moisturizer :)

I have a love/hate relationship with this product. I love it because it's the only product I found that I can put all over my skin (which I MUCH prefer to putting the cream on the acne only) without irritating it. So that is a HUGE win. And it also doesn't smell like bad chemicals. Yes, it does smell like chemicals, what acne cream doesn't? But it's actually a good, tolerable smell. I weirdly like it a lot. Ha. The bad part about this product is that I don't think it works SUPER well compared to other people. I have bad luck with acne cream, none of it seems to work on me. But this one, in my opinion, works just a tad bit better than the rest. Not as well as I'd like, but better than the rest. And it's also a bit pricy. Actually works!

I have tried so many things to clear my skin and this is the 1st product to work! At 42 I was embarrassed by the blemishes on my forehead and all over my chin, in various stages of growth. The very first time I used this made a difference. Within 12 hours the pre acne bumps were 75% gone...and the established acne was healing quickly. I used it every 12 hours for 2-3 days and my skin was so much clearer. Now when I see a bump just starting to form, I use this product on it, and amazingly the acne never forms. My skin is now 100% clear and has been for months. This cream absolutely keeps it clear and is a miracle worker. I will always have it on hand.

Finally one that works!

I have used a lot of acne products that only made things worse.This has been the ONLY acne serum to work (without taking months to see results). Skin type: I have combo/dry sensitive skin, and tend to get breakouts during my time of month or times of stress. How I use it: I put a small amount on the areas I often get acne, even when I hav clear skin, while applying a bit more on the areas that show signs of acne oncoming. I let it sit for a couple minutes and follow it up with a lightweight moisturizer. It took me many years to realize dry skin can lead to breakouts, so don’t skip the moisturizer.

Great product for hormonal acne

I really love this product. I suffer from hormonal acne and over the past month it got worse. I tried this as it is from a reputable brand and its price is very reasonable. From the first day it calmed down my active breakouts and it slowly helps them go away. Dont expect miracles but I think it is definitely worth a try especially since it has a great price. I have to say it's way more effective than the new murad acne treatment!

Have tried Everything

I've tried so many things. Kate Sommerville offered some relief for a good while then during the pandemic nothing would work. Peter Thomos toner pads, toner sprays and pads from my esthetician, pacifica acne gel, masks, scrubs, clay masks I even made myself, oh and that charcoal mask from glam glow. Some made no difference, some helped a little. Pacifica helped bring the cystic ance down and once I used the dermalogica exfoliant, I saw a subtle difference. I bought their clay face mask and SPF moisturizer. Skin got better. but this baby right here helped with one application. I still get breakouts but my face isn't red, there aren't many cystic acne. now I can focus on the acne scars. my poor skin.

Smooth and hydrating!

I bought this after a worker recommended it to me as I couldn’t get on of the Dr Dennis products and I am so thankful. My skin feels less oily and clogged. I have never used the dermologica brand before but I am definitely going to start using more of their products as my sensitive skin did not react at all with it and it did improve my acne. To anyone thinking about buying this product please do. Use it at the start of your skin care routine so it is close to the skin. I saw results after about three to four nights. Skin takes time so be patient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Staple for Acne Prone Skin!

I have struggled with Acne since I was a teenager and have always been drawn to Dermalogica products! Whenever I’ve seen a skin specialist they have recommended them which is a good sign. After reading reviews I finally decided to give this product a try after not seeing great results from my other topical treatments! I’ve only been using it a week and I’m obsessed. It has been super effective in minimising breakouts and does’t leave the skin feeling to dry either!

This product doesn't do anything for acne.

I have been using this for almost a month now and I don't think it makes a difference. My acne around the bottom half of my face just keeps coming and this product didn't make any of the already existing pimples go away faster, or prevent new ones from coming. It applied it all over for prevention and on new acne to try to rid of them faster. I actually think it made my skin oiler by the end of the day. It didn't really irritate my skin so I guess that is a plus. Would not buy again, expensive product for it not being effective at all.

Wow

I had moderate acne, and had been prescribed acne treatments that had minimal results. Honestly, this cleared my acne unbelievably fast! I applied the product 3 times a day. My oily, bumpy, and red skin literally shed in dry flakes to reveal smooth skin. Yes, the product dried my skin, but only when it was oily acne. Now that my acne has healed, I apply it once daily before moisturising and its keeping spots at bay. It really is an incredible product. If you have acne, spots or blemish prone skin I highly recommend. You wont regret it!
