Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash

Amazing before, awful now.

I have been using this cleanser for over a year now with incredible results. After receiving my last refill, my face has been left burning and itching. I have not changed anything in my skincare routine so I was caught off guard with this. I eliminated all products for a week and then started building it back up again, as if I was dealing with new products. The cleanser was the cause of the redness, burning, itching. Very disappointed especially because of how incredible the original formula was with my skin. Unsure if there was some change in ingredients or not, I can only assume because I’ve been using it for so long without this ever happening.

Does work but don't use right before a big event

I've been using this face wash for over a month now and I have to say that my face is clearer and smoother than it's ever been. BUT! I experienced some MAJOR purging. my acne tends to be hard bumps under the skin and with that being said, the first time I used this, I had hard filliments coming out of my pores. I have a medium sized scar on my face and the pores around that area are enlarged. I do use a vitamin c serum during the day and a retinol at night and this cleanser does not sensitize my face before going in with my actives. I use it morning and night.I cannot say how this removes makeup as I use an oil cleanser to remove makeup and then this cleanser afterwards.the cleanser does have menthol in it. my skin is usually irritated with menthol products, but this one does not irritate my skin at all. if you are sensitive to smells, it does have a mild medicinal menthol scent but I don't find that it lingers or bothers my scenes.If you have the time and social calendar to give it a few weeks to work it's magic, then I would give it a try!

Helpful for combo skin w hormonal cystic acne!

I’m in my late 20s, and I have combo skin (very oily on nose and forehead and dry everywhere else).This acne wash is incredibly effective! I’ve been having the worst hormonal cystic acne breakout up until now and this wash is the only thing that has calmed and reduced redness out of the many options I’ve tried thus far.There is a great cooling sensation (honestly I don’t know if everyone will love this but I like it since my breakouts feel really hot and itchy during the summer). I usually add this to my night routine after I’ve cleansed my sunscreen/makeup off. Literally 3 days into using this clearing wash, some of my cystic breakouts FINALLY stopped regrowing and the others visibly became smaller.

Incredible Results For Stubborn Adult Acne

Made my skin glow after first wash

Hi! I am 20f with combination skin, and presumed hormonal acne: I was first introduced to dermalogica after getting my first facial. I ignored the advice my esthetician gave me for a few months but after realizing The Ordianry was doing nothing for my skin, I finally invested. The change was like night and day after one wash with this cleanser my face was glowing, my texture felt smoother, and my acne was so much more manageable. I have been using this cleanser every day, in conjunction with the daily microfolient, and have noticed a big difference. The price is definitely worth the results and I will continue buying Dermalogica. My only negative is obviously the price point though I'm not sure how long it will take me to go through this bottle.

Perfect face wash

I’ve honestly used the same acne wash since I was a teenager and I was always scared to switch but I knew it wasn’t great for my skin. So, knowing I love Dermalogica, I bought this face wash. I immediately noticed a difference in my skin. First of all, it’s one of my favorite parts of my shower now because I love the feeling this wash gives. It’s almost like a cooling feeling. It doesn’t dry my skin out at all, and afterwards my skin looks balanced and refreshed. Over time it’s definitely helped calm down any acne I could be getting and my skin has remained relatively clear. I’m beyond happy with this face wash.

Will never change brands

I’ve had lifelong issues with acne and being an adult, it’s been frustrating to find skincare that works for me. I have oily skin and mostly hormonal acne, so I took a chance on this brand to see what it could do for me. It’s definitely worth the extra money. I have a simple 3 product routine that has been really clearing up my skin and gives me a glow. I honestly am having a hard time believing it. I do my routine in the morning and at night. If you have problems that sound like mine, I recommend this wash, the age bright clearing serum, and then the cooling aqua jelly moisturizer. Bonus points: it’s easy to travel with because of the locking ability underneath the pump.

I love Dermalogica but this product didn't do much for me. I have oily, relatively sensitive skin that loves salicylic acid. Now that I have my skin relatively under control, I know my breakouts are pretty much all hormonal. I never felt like this irritated my skin or anything but I also feel like it didn't really do it's job of clearing blemishes. I never felt like my skin got better using it. I've tried using it it periodically throughout the week and I've tried using it every night and can't tell if it's helping. I think it works as a cleanser in general, but I can't honestly say it helped acne. So I won't be getting more.
