I can think of almost no circumstances where you should not buy one of these if you are purchasing a desky. You are buying a premium desk and without one of these you will have a bunch of **** cabling at the back. The channel performs quite well and the power plugs clip in very easily, though in my opinion are priced a little bit on the high side for what they are. If you not cost constrained is a cleaner and easier solution that using your own power strips. You can see from my photo that I have used both with one from desky and a Belkin powerstrip that I had previously been using. There is definitely enough room for single width strip and all your cabling. The downside of this more cost effective approach is that its more painful plugging things in as you will ... MoreI can think of almost no circumstances where you should not buy one of these if you are purchasing a desky. Best purchase ever!! Didn't realise it would make such a huge difference in our work space and gaming session. The height adjustable has really made our daily life easier. Also the hardwood table top makes us look elegant and prosperous. Definitely worth the upgrade. My partner enjoys the table during her working hour and I use the space for gaming at night and believe it or not I have been performing better at my gaming sessions and it's definitely Desky because I can adjust the height as often as I want as however I want according to the mood I feel. We both love it!!!! Also the cable management OMG... We are literally floating in the space .. LOVE IT!!!

An excellent addition to a beautiful desk, but not without its annoyances on the 1200mm Desky.Perhaps better suited to larger size desks, this addition got in the way of setting up my Pheasantwood Desky as I have detailed in my other review. Yet, while I consider it worth it, it has a few other idiosyncrasies that are not documented and are worth being aware of.When planning to install it on the 1200mm Desky, there are only a few places that the 4 Point Powerboard can actually fit. This in of itself is not an issue, as cables easily reach the Powerboard when centrally mounted.Worth noting, though, is that the moment you install the Powerboard, the telescopic nature of the Power Channel is eliminated. The little screw, designed to hold it at the correct length, is obsolete. This becomes significant if you want computer cables to pass through the gap between the power channel and the underside of the desk. If you haven't thought to put your computer cable (with power point on one end and computer plug at the other) through this small gap before attaching the Channel to the desk, then it's not just a matter of unscrewing the Channel and sliding it off its mounting points like is depicted in one of the online videos, because the power board inhibits this. You actually have to remove the powerboard to be able retract the Channel and unhook one side simply to slide a new cable into this gap. In that the Desky is heavy, and already the right way up, accessing and unclipping this powerboard from this position was a job!Once installed it's terrific. I don't imagine I'm going to need much more on top of this desk. But if I do, then I'll need to go through that process again. So not perfect, but I like what it does.

I don't enjoy working in a cluttered environment and decided to get the cable management too. Also for sit stand desk, imagine the cables accidently stretched from the powerpoint that won't move with the desk! Horrible ;_;... It really helps with hiding all the lines and the cable tie provided is epic! But I found the cable box not really having bolt/nut fix and just have bolt with handle to fix in the middle. Because of that it won't sit straight. The hand bolt actually makes it worse, so I decided not to have it on since by fixing the component box on the leg frame it already prevents the component box falling apart. I think since the options have fixed size range it wouldn't be that difficult to have holes for bolt and nut fix to provide better finish and experience. The component box itself isn't that pricy but it is specifically for the desk. Also if I could have cable holes somewhere close to the middle on the back and bottom that would have been nice, but because it only had cable holes on ends, some cables had to travel all the way to the end and then come back to the powerpoint unnecessarily. Some wouldn't reach so they are traveling between the gap of the box and underneath the table.
I purchased the Dual Sit Stand Desk to pair with my old Ikea butcher block countertop. The quality is exceptional. The hardware fits together really well, the assembly takes about 15 minutes, and the rigidness of it inspires confidence. They also throw in some nice cable management stickies to help tidy the underside. When I first turned it on, both my wife and I said 'Wow, this is premium". Very impressed! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the hardest part of the process was getting money to them. I needed my order broken over 2 invoices and I had to message them a few times to keep the ball rolling. Quick to respond, but slow to send me invoices to pay them.
The desk of great. Matches exactly what I thought I was getting. Only surprise is it’s heavier than I expected, but now makes sense. It’s well built, easy to assemble and operates like a dream. It’s everything I wanted. The depth of the desk is just a nice as the standing part.I recommend the cable management tray. I just got the tray, not the extra power sockets. The tray does a fantastic job at hiding the messy cables and keeping things in order.Would happily buy another!
Customer service is very responsive which I appreciate. There are quite a bit of plastic packaging so it’d be nice if there’s more recycled material packaging. The putting together part was a bit frustrating - we followed the instruction booklet that came with the desk, but turns out one type of the screws that came with the box isn’t needed. We had to look up the Desky video on YouTube but the video came with different steps too (and didn’t mention anything about the sticky tape) so we were just really confused.Once it’s completed it’s great, study desk and I like the accessories I got, it made the table look very neat without 20 cables hanging!
I really love this cable management design. It's easy to just swing down the front to access the cables and then snap it back in place when done. This was way cleaner than my alternative idea of ******** a cable channel underneath the desk or sticking a separate power board and having to deal with the cables all over the place.I have one item on a smart plug, and the smart plug has a large footprint. This meant that the surrounding outlets are inaccessible. I wish at least some of the outlets were spaced further apart to accommodate this.
The reason I went with Desky was because of the integrated options. I really love the large integrated channel for organizing cables. So much better than my previous cheap clamp ones. The ability to slap in the integrated sockets is awesome. The one thing I do wish Desky would do is optimize the length of the cords between the power sockets. There is just way too much cord from the sockets themselves. They should really link together with no extra cable. The cables just take a lot of extra space up for no reason; Desky would maybe have to pair specific ones for specific desks depending on the length of the desk and how much the tray is expanded. Nevertheless, keeps things neat and tidy!
Don't get me wrong. It looks nice, slick and keeps the cables away. BUT... for it being custom made for this desk. God did I have issues. For the channel can only run ONE way. My wall socket is on the right side of my desk, But the AC power cord can only come out of the left side of this channel. There really should be an option to select it to either run left to right or right to left. Also some shorter connection cables would be nicer. unfortunately you have to spiral the cable. It just takes up so much room, with a limited space.
