This brad nailer is top notch. No more oiling. No more noisy air compressor in the house. Its light weight and easy to operate. It went 5-hours straight on Day-1 building a small project for my wife. It ran another 3-hours on Day-2. This has been a wonderful addition to my quickly growing 20V Dewalt collection. I havent even resumed my indoor room renovations. I cant wait. Check out these quick little planter holders I put together for my wife as a test for this nailer!

I have never used a power nail gun before, and was suspicious about the capability of an 18 gauge brad nailer. But I had promised to install some aromatic cedar strips in a closet, and did not look forward to hand nailing the strips with small-gauge nails (brads). Got the Dewalt Brad nailer, becausr I have had great success with other Dewalt power tools. and was pleasantly surprised. Looks big, but is light weight and easy to handle. Drives the brads with ease and saved a ton of time and effort. Now looking for other projects to use it on. Definitely worth it.

Have not used it on a project yet. I did try it out on some test pieces, and it worked great! Nice balance without having the airline to fight with. Perfect nailset without marring the wood surface..

Exceding my expectations. I've used several other brands of battery powered nailers and had initially stayed away from this one because of the size. compared to a pneumatic nailer it is very large. I ran across a DeWalt representative in a local big box store and he had one I could try out. After trying it out he also offered me a good deal if I bought the kit which I did. No regrets. Sinks long brads and sinks brads at an angle. The part about the tool that made me decide to purchase it was the fact that it would sink brads at an angle and that it is very light feeling compared to any of the other battery powered nailers I've used (I've used almost all of them). It has very good balance in the hand and is in fact lighter weight. The large size of it for an 18ga nailer is kind of ridiculous looking but in function I haven't thought about it since I first used it. The convenience of having a reliable brad nailer that I can use without hose or compressor is very much worth it to me. It does have a larger nose piece compared to my narrow nosed Bostitch pneumatic but again, that is far outweighed by the compressor and hoseless convenience. I have not had any problems with it and it fully sinks all of the brads I've driven out of thousands, all different lengths and into various materials. I'm impressed. I have noticed that my motor suddenly started sounding like there's a few chunks of sand in it after a couple thousand nails but it still seems to function well as of several thousand later..... The 2.0ah batteries last me at least 3 hours of continuous use. I hope the motor noise isn't a sign of a problem. I'm not using this in a production shop setting doing repetitive assembly so I am not able to out pace any ramp up time. In single fire mode the motor has alway ramped up starting the moment the nose piece begins to depress and will fire by the time it is fully depressed for me. In bump mode, the motor starts the second you hold the trigger down and by the time you start bumping its ready. I haven't been able to bump fire fast enough for it to not work. I'm not sure if that's possible but it seems people are concerned about ramp up time. I haven't had any problems. I hope this is helpful.
I recently bought the 20V Max 18GA Cordless Brad Nailer Kit and it is an awesome tool. I no longer need to start up the air compressor and uncoil the hose just to shoot a few nails. This cordless tool is easy to install the battery and fire away! I do kitchen renovations and this tool has come in handy for trim work and anywhere a brad nail is needed. The features on this tool make it easy to use. Bright LED lights are positioned well so it lights up your space where you are shooting a nail. Rapid fire is a nice feature as well. This nail gun also shoots 5/8" - 2 1/8" 18GA brad nails - a nice range!
East to use. Finally battery operated one. I was worry about a power before I bought it. Didn't need to worry. It just works. 2" nails in hardwood no problem. Great for trim work and little project around the house and on a job site. In workshop still relay on pneumatic, because DeWalt didn't make 23 guage yet.
I purchased this brad gun in kit form in Dec, 2021 after reading all of the positive reviews and of course because it’s Dewalt. I couldn’t be happier . I’ve used in to install 3 rooms of trim so far , not a single issue . It leaves very small nail holes and sinks every nail completely. The build quality is excellent, typical Dewalt quality . It comes with 2.0 Amp hr battery that lasted completely through my 3 rooms . My 3 rooms consisted of 7 doors 6 windows and all the base and shoe molding. It worked perfectly using 2&1/8 brads all the way down to one inch . The LEDs were quite helpful trimming in the dark closet and the belt hook made carrying it a breeze . It’s not heavy either. I can’t recommend it enough .
When the nail gun works, it's great. But, durability is poor overall. This product has been a lemon for me. I'm a general contractor and use this nail gun occassionally for my job. I bought this nail gun on Amazon in July 2020 and since then it's broken twice. The first time it broke just under a year after purchasing it. The motor was working fine but the firing mechanism wouldn't shoot nails. I took it apart to figure it out on the job site so I could finish my work for the day and realized the metal mechanism inside needed to be disassembled. I took it to DeWalt for servicing, they spent 5 weeks with it and charged me as much as a new nail gun! It broke again three months later, right after the 90 day warranty. So, I ordered new rails to fix the inside myself. It ... MoreWhen the nail gun works, it's great. But, durability is poor overall. This product has been a lemon for me. I was a little sceptical at first as i am used to carrying the old nailer n tank thinking that cordless would not be able to complete an entire house with trim but dewalt clearly proved me wrong! With my corded nailer the jams were a common thing something that i would just learn to live with! But man am i happy with this! Less tools to travel with or dragging a cord around makes me very happy i am finally free of that and what a feeling, most people dont like the being free of the cord but once you are its like being reborn again! Have fired probably a million nails in this thing already with using softwood and oak and maybe have had 5 jams! That’s incredible to say, overly impressed with this an considering buying the framming nailer which is getting amazing ... MoreI was a little sceptical at first as i am used to carrying the old nailer n tank thinking that cordless would not be able to complete an entire house with trim but dewalt clearly proved me wrong! This is my first power nailer, I have used air powered nailers i the past, and I have always used a hammer and nails. But admittedly this makes installing trim easier, especially when you are holding the trim, or material with one hand, you can use this to nail it in place.I have used elbows, feet, head chin, neck you name it I've used it to hold the piece in place so I can hold the nail and hammer with my hands.Furthermore the absence of air hose and necessary air compressor for an air powered gun, makes this an obvious choice.I was initially concerned with battery life, and even more so when I discovered this only came with a 2ah battery, my concerns were put to rest after the first day of use.
