Purchased to replace a traditional air compressor style nailer and I couldnt be happier with this version. Corners can be tight but I knew that before buying this unit. No jams thus far. Battery lasts a long time. Would 100% recommend. Zoro had a great price that beat the competitors as well!

I’ve been using this for a few months now and couldn’t be happier. I upgraded after using an air nailer for all my life. I will never go back to anything corded again. The adjustable settings on this drive a perfect nail every time. The only negatives I could see would be size and weight since it’s a little bigger than your average air nail gun size. If you’re on the fence… go buy one! It’s worth the money!

Purchased at Home Depot yesterday. Registered today. The symbol that I downloaded to register says this was a tool alone. Not just it is a kit with bag, charger, and battery. I am very upset and disappointed. The box and the illustrations on the box and as advertised indicates the toolAnd battery are XR. The battery included was not XR. For over two decades I have stayed with DEWALT and I have many other tools not registered. I am upset and disappointed in DEWALT for deceiving loyal customers with this type of practice. I wanted and expected a XR tool with XR battery and charger. Shame on you. Next tool purchase will not drive me towards DEWALTRight now.

Big decision to switch to cordless nailers: DO IT!
2 January 2022

I love this nailer! I have anguished over switching to cordless nailers from air for a long time. This is my first one and it was a good decision for a lot of reasons. I have an expensive and extensive arsenal of air nailers representing a huge investment in business and trade. I decided to make this transition one at a time because it is expensive and want to be sure they can handle heavy use without failure. I have redundant tools for everything in my truck because no professional can afford to be hamstrung by a broken tool. I have only run a few hundred nails through it but it works great. Depth adjustment is nice when switching between different materials (tried pine, PVC, MDF, oak so far) and brad sizes (I've used 1.25" & 2" so far). Depth adjustment is nice when switching between different materials (tried pine, PVC, MDF, oak so far) and brad sizes (I've used 1.25" & 2" so far). Haven't had any issues, other than losing the little rubber nose guard, it comes with two extras but be careful because it comes off easily and it doesn't come with a hard case like my other trim nailers did. I got thrown in the drawer with some other nailers and drills and drivers and got lost. I'm going to get a pelican case for it because I don't want the tip to get bent. It is something that precision tools should come with. The savings in set up time, clean up, room in the truck and the maneuverability on site and transfer quickly to the next job is a huge value for me. I'm going to switch one by one, although DeWalt doesn't make cordless tools for all the gauges and types I use so the compressor and other guns will still be taking up room in the truck.

Brad nailer
23 March 2022

Was contemplating buying a compressor, Brad nailer, hoses but decided to go with this cordless one for home renovations. The nailer’s mobility, ease of use, and performance has exceeded my expectations. So far it has worked well with putting on new baseboards and air vent return covers. The trouble lights flash when something is needing attention like swapping of battery, reload more nails, and only one nail jam after many days of use. Manual helped to unjam nail safely. Highly recommend this product.

Bulky Heavy

Very useful tool to have, especially when I’m on jobs that do not have power(electricity) up and running yet. Having used it on different types of job, from cabinetry builds to full home trim outs. Noticed it begins to get heavy. I like to use the 5ah battery so yes that’s to blame. But even after a while with the 2ah battery and installing crown molding and having to hold that tool horizontally get exhausting. PLEASE PLEASE make ATOMIC smaller version of this! I’ll be the first to buy one

Game changer

Fixing up multiple 130+ year homes means there’s always something to do. And it always involves trim at some point or another. This nailer makes those tasks so much simpler since I don’t need to lug my compressor around. I haven’t experienced any jams, but it seems to have a simple and effective method for clearing. I’m actually looking forward to finishing trim now!

Portable and Works Great!
6 March 2019

Prior to starting our home remodeling, one tool I knew I wanted was an 18 gauge cordless brad nailer, as I wanted to be able to quickly and professionally install trim as we finished each room. I made the mistake of purchasing a different brand unit that just just did not work as well as it should have. I then bought the Dewalt DCN680B 20V Max XR 18 GA Cordless Brad Nailer as a replacement. The DeWalt unit has worked flawlessly and has made my finish nailing work go quickly. The unit is easy to load and adjust for proper nail depth. Although the unit has not jammed for me, it has a jam clearing latch to make clearing jams quick and easy. With much work yet to do in our house, this tool will definitely be used regularly. Thus far I am impressed and I do recommend it.

Unreliable
30 January 2023

Bought one of these yesterday and used it for about an hour, maybe 2 and it quit working. The nail jam light flashes, but no nail is jammed. Started working again after a couple hours of sitting but stopped shortly after again. Has not worked since. Expected high quality and durability from a DeWalt XR and extremely disappointed and frustrated

Worth every penny

With the new remodeling of my home I wanted to purchase a nailer tool that would make this DIY job that much easier for us. We decided to go with the best reliable Brand Dewalt and went ahead and purchased this DEWALT DCN680 18 Gauge Brad Nailer . Best decision ever made. This nailer is not that heavy in comparison to others. The cordless feature took the win for me making it so much easier moving around freely. The nailing is very accurate with no jamming. It is extremely easy to change the brat nails. I love the fact that I can use 5/8 nails and up to 2 1/8. It's easy to adjust the depth of the nail as it goes in. This makes it very useful and convenient for any project. I use my 20v 2.0 battery which lasts a very long time. Very powerful.
