DeWalt DCC018N-XJ - Inflator (18V)

Dewalt inflator is a quality product and works brilliantly as expected. Compact and and my batteries make it a truly mobile and reliable product when I use it. Just pick up and go.FFX price was very competitive and delivered next day as promised. All round excellent experience

It's well made which I would expect for the price. I would have given it 5 stars as its a shame the gauge doesn't measure how much air is in your tyre when you turn it on so you would know the exact pressure. If your tyre pressure is higher than the reading you have dialed into the air pump it just won't pump air without telling you your actual air pressure so unless it is pumping air into your tyre and then it cuts out once the air pressure is reached you don't know what pressure is in your tyre. Surely they could have made this so the gauge always gives you a reading soon as it's screwed on to your valve. Apart from that it's OK. I have had cheaper ones in the past so hopefully this one last longer.

Only lost one star for the dial which selects the pressure it appears a little flimsy only time will tell if this will stand up to regular use. The pump works really well for tyres. The screw fitting is good quality and their are some extra fittings for items such a cycle tyres and footballs etc. Not tried the high rate yet but it appears to have a strong air flow. The reason for buying was to replace a previous battery operated inflator but as soon as the battery packed up it was not feasible to repair it. With this unit I can just use one of my dewalt batteries so hoping the unit will last for then a couple of years. Its not a cheap unit but better built than most. I did review alternatives but this ticked all the boxes.

Great inflator, although not quite as sturdy as most DeWalt products. Is relatively quiet compared to most cheaper inflators and had no problems inflating large 4x4 tyres.Had an issue with the high airflow hose breaking on first use and had to get unit replaced by retailer. No problems with new unit.Works great on battery but disappointing that you can’t use it via 240V AC out of the box; Saying it’s a THREE power source product doesn’t count if you have to buy extra kit (a power supply that’s not cheap!) for one of them. That’s like saying ANY 12V car accessories are dual power supply, if you buy a 240V to 12V car adapter!Overall a decent bit of kit, but a lot of money for what you get.

Best inflator tool I could find

Fantastic tool. I use mine with a Makita battery and adapter. Reasons for buying this over other brands:* Includes a 12v cigarette lighter cable so can be powered from the car without a battery pack.* Better build quality than Ryobi.* Cheaper than the equivalent Makita inflator and don't have to hold down the trigger.* Brass screw-on Schrader fitting, much more robust than the level-operated fittings.* Has a high volume inflator.* On-board accessory storage.

Brilliant

A good portable air compressor, yes it is pricey compared to other products but you get what you pay for. You have the option of using the car battery to power this if you don't have your drill or tool battery available. I use the newer 3ah batteries with the 21700 cells and even after several uses and having to blow up 2 tyres from 9psi to 35psi still have 3 bars battery. I really recommend this product.

Excellent Apart From One Thing Which Is Easily Fixed. KPA/BAR/PSI Setting

For some silly reason the Dewalt manual does not appear to include how to change the pressure units between KPA, BAR and PSI..To do it: Hold down the middle and right button then spin the wheel.My inflator came with the pressure unit set to BAR. I prefer PSI.

My old rechargeable inflator recently gave up the ghost and couldn't cope with more than a single tyre so I did a bit of looking around and found this DeWalt unit. With the whole interchangeable battery thing I made my choice to go with DeWalt a few years back and have various 18V tools that are all great so for me I was very pleased to find that I can use my investment in the batteries for the inflator. At 120 it is very expensive really, and I would say too expensive if you don't already have the batteries and charger. However I love the fact that this uses my existing batteries because I have found they have great long life and I trust the quality of DeWalt. The unit itself is great - very sturdy and super easy to use. Review of DeWalt DCC018N Body Only 18V XR Triple Source Inflator

I have previously used cheap 12v inflators and they are next to useless. This is the real deal. Professional piece of kit. Powerful motor, effortless to use , very accurate pressure display and preset, and works with all my 18V Dewalt batteries. Cant fault it. Awesome and well worth the price
