Bought this as a more portable impact as i didnt want to haul around the 20v version. This did not disappoint. Car lug nuts are no match. Driving screws into decking are quick and easy. Lightweight and can fit into small spaces.

Very compact in size, definitely light in weight. It does small the small jobs well. I definitely don’t think it has 400 ft lbs of breakaway torque. I tried using this twice to remove caliper bolts and it doesn’t even budge. Definitely a let down as i have many dewalt power tools.it was either the m12 stubby or this , and frankly i think i should have gone the stubby route. Which I’ve used many times in the past and has worked well. this was rated much higher, so i decided to take a gamble Definitely would not recommend this purchase.

I have all Dewalt cordless tools. The last 6 years. They don’t last more than a summer of work. Cordless framing nailer, lasted two garage roofs. They have have for repair since Covid. All impactors have not lasted more than one summer. Cordless saws-all, have gone two in the last year. Going to transition to all Milwaukee.

This impact is a great addition for someone looking to add 3/8 drive to their arsenal. I have the dcf899 and the impact is a little big for some jobs that need to be done. The compact size fits into a lot of tight places. The trigger is very smooth for just tightening down with adding a lot of torque.
This thing hits hard. I still keep the dcf902 as well to keep from breaking this think automotive metal fastener into plastic but this bad boy has the power to break some stuff loose. I’ve had trouble with the 902 just not having the power to get rusted bolts free but I haven’t had any trouble with this one. I highly recommend. The guy at lowes was like but this is only 12v and I was like I know, that is what I want compact size and big power.
I was an auto mechanic years back and our go to impact drivers were all air tools. I would have never imagined useing a power tool. They just did not have them back then. All I had was a battery operated drill that I would use from time to time. Now these power tools are taking over. I stepped on the tool truck the other day and they had a few air tools, but mostly selling battery power tools today and these little 12v line of tools are outstanding! Lots of power and small, light weight. Simply love them!
Just got mine. You have to see just how far it will go. It stripped several grade eight fasteners. It paid for itself already. The housing is a little more bulky than I like but the extra torque will make up for it. Definitely recommend it. I may have to pick up a second one for the service truck.
I own the DCF902 and love it. When the DCF903 finally became available to purchase without buying it off of a tool van for 3x it's normal price, I bought one.I was expecting a similar size/weight to the 902 but this is bigger. Picture a DCF801 20v. Graft a 12v battery to it and that's what you have.pictures below show the DCF 902 and the 903 as well an 801 just to compare size. Also included is what I carry with me to do my job
This is top tier for stubby 12V impact wrenches. It’s on par with the Milwaukee M12 Fuel Stubby and Snap On CT761. Which is your favorite comes down to preference.What is particularly great about the DeWalt:- I prefer the business end to be perpendicular to the handle, not offset, and this is plus the balance between the tool and handle with battery is excellent.- light ring around the drive end- enough power to take off lug nuts yet enough control to drive small torx fasteners. Note it does not have multiple modes or settings like the Milwaukee. this is a great tool if you are in the industry to use. Like if you take motors off for awhile, or if you take things apart this would be a tool for you to have. Only downside to this is that if you have to do automotive work might not be the best one might want to get the 20volt one instead of this one,
