Bought to measure a whole schools internal rooms. Managed it in less than a day. Would have taken about three as I was on my own. Great product easy to use. Lacking instructions how to change from mm to ft but otherwise very good. Feels solid and well made.

Great, nifty bit of kit - does the job well! Works straight out of the box, easy to use, well built and rugged, get a feeling it’s going to last. One downside - no carry case/protective wallet. I’m normally a go to a competitor, but Toolstation had this is stock the night I needed it, perfect!!

Sometimes you just want something that is simple and works. This laser distance measure ticks that box. We did not need any fancy volume or capacity calculations, just a reliable measure from point A to point B. Keep it simple and reliable.
Saw the deal on line and recommended to my wife that it would make a great Father's Day pressie.....and it has! Looks and feels good and is easy to use and seems very accurate, at least whilst trying it in bed with a cuppa! Gave 5 stars for reliability but no reason to see why it shouldn't last.
Bought when on an offer as had the best reviews for the price,not disappointed as it's a great simple tool to use. Would have been handy if it came in a case to protect the screen and as its easily switched on in our main tool bag. Great gift purchase for a DIYer
The laser distance meter works well. In bright sunlight the reading is not always easy. It's especially helpful when working on one's own. The possibility to change from imperial to metric units is an excellent feature. The set fits well into one's hand.
Purchased, recently. I needed an inexpensive digital measuring tool. Simple to use, altho' the quick start guide was not really that useful. It measure's up to 30 metres (100ft), & is accurate to +/- 3mm - & that's impressive. Lightweight, handheld unit in DeWalt's emblematic black & yellow. Clear enough digital readout, & measures simply with a red laser; in effect, point & press the button, & the distance between two surfaces is computed.I have two minor complaints - for more extensive explanatory guidelines in the use of this device, I had to source from the web, which kind of defeated the object to operation of same; second, if you press the measuring button more than once, it scrolls thru' differing measurement units, ergo, Metric, then Old Imperial. I'm sure there are trades people who still use feet & inches (in the UK), but I left that all behind when I departed from Secondary level schooling in the '80's. The unit didn't like returning to Metric, so that was an inconvenience, albeit, minor..Other than that, very useful for measuring off room dimensions (H X W X D), & for the money, very reasonable.
Not much to add other than it does the business. Hold the button to switch between unites of measurement. Hold even longer to turn off. Press once to get live distances, or press a second time to save the measurement to the screen. The only downside is that it doesn't have a mode to switch between measuring from from the back of the device or measuring from the front. It's only from the back of the device.
Simple & effective and accuracy checks out with a more expensive Leica. I only wanted basic functions, this has one button and just shows current and last measurement. No case or hand strap although provision is made for one to be attached.
