The gun looks and feels good, but once it gets plugged in that is when it falls apart. Right out of the box it had a blown O-ring in the exhaust port and that caused a slow leak that couldn't be stopped. It still allowed the gun to work, so I figured I would try it out to see if I even liked it before I took it back for a replacement. The gun fires smoothly, and is the quietest gun (minus the soft hissing from the leaking O-ring) that I have ever used, but after firing a couple brads I noticed they weren't entering the wood true. I fiddled with it a bit and found that the "no-mar pad" was shifting on the end of safety as you depressed the gun, and was surprised to see that it shifted left to right causing the nose of the gun to roll slightly as the brad fired. I fiddled with it a bit and found that the "no-mar pad" was shifting on the end of safety as you depressed the gun, and was surprised to see that it shifted left to right causing the nose of the gun to roll slightly as the brad fired. It wasn't much, but it was enough to send the brad off at a 5-10 degree angle from dead center, which can be bad depending on what you are firing into. So, I removed the no-mar pad and found the real problem, the metal nub the pad fits onto is rounded, so the pad has to shift back and forth since it appears to have been designed to snap onto a square nub. It looks like the manufacturer changed the shape of the nub the no-mar pad fits to, but used the original pad that has a very distinct square shaped fitting. The outcome is the fact that the pad moves and wiggles like a jellyfish every time you pull the trigger, and that makes it very hard to get the angle to stay dead true. After firing less than a dozen brads the no-mar pad was sitting at a strange angle, half off the gun and sort of twisted under where it was supposed to be attached. This might be the first DeWalt tool I have ever bought that I wasn't at all happy with. It is going back tomorrow, and I'm not even going to bother to get a replacement like I had originally planned on.

I purchased this particular brad nailer as a gift for my oldest son, however I have owned one for more than 10 years. It is one of the most useful tools in my armamentarium. It is light weight, easy to use, and reliable. I have never experienced a jam with this nailer. I recommend purchasing an option that includes the case. Also, I almost always use between 60 PSI (softer woods) and 80PSI (for harder woods), and try to avoid using anything higher than 80PSI.

I really enjoy working with this brad nailer. It's a great tool. I only wished that I had purchased it before I already completed much of the trim work I've done. Still, I have a lot left to do and this tool is perfect for that work. It's much faster and easier to do all of the work I have to do. It's easy to get out and setup. It only takes a very few minutes and it's ready to go. Just great.

Buy the Makita equivalent for $30 cheaper if you want a finish stapler that will consistently set the staple set. The safety mechanism that you push on the tip before it will fire is on the front of the firing tip. This is issue in tight spots which would be 1 of the reasons you would purchase this nailer. Ive been all dewalt for 15 years and they are turning into a rigid level product. Again its JUNK. I will no longer look at Dewalt as a competitor to Milwaukee, they wanna compete with junk.
Light weight, crisp action, compact. I had previous version of dewalt brad nailer for more than 10 years and I can notice improvement after switching to this new oil free nailer. There are quite a lot of new cordless nailers out there but they are bulky and often leave marks on soft wood. So far dewalt brad nailers where very comfortable to work with for me and pretty reliable.
I’ve been procrastinating installing three rooms of quarter round because I didn’t want to have to hammer and nail it and the idea of gluing and holding felt exhausting. Wishing I’d bought one sooner. Easy to use, nice and quiet, makes those tasks you’re avoiding quick to finish.Gun itself is light weight and sturdy. No complaints.
This brad nailer is awesome! It’s super easy even for a woman or a man to use, it’s lightweight, don’t jam up and has been a great tool for me. I bought another less expensive brand first and it was noisy and hard for me to pull the trigger. I’ll buy this brand of brad nailer should I ever need another. Bonus: has nice hard case that stores better on a shelf and wipes off easier than those floppy bags that get dirty fast.
Using it to fasten the indoor trim on my windows, 1000 times better than hammering finishing nails! So far working great. I need to remember to keep it straight when I hit the trigger oops! :)
Within 15 minutes of using my nailer the yellow rubber tip came off in 2 pieces. It’s meant to keep from scratching the surface you’re nailing. I went by the Home Depot in Fort Oglethorpe and they didn’t have one to exchange mine with. The young lady that helped me was great and added several notes into my account. I have a job I’m working on that kept me from leaving mine for her to ship back and reorder one. She said for me yo bring it back when I’m finished with this job and she would get me another one ordered and return mine for me. Great customer service. A little disappointed with DEWALT’s product but her service made up for it.
Do not know how it happened but the box of nails arrived ripped open and empty. No nails in the nail box or sealed package so it was not a broke amd spilled in shipping issue. Also there was Damage to nail gun case as it was packed loose in large box but as long as the gun is okay it doesnt really matter
