Purchased this for My 12yo sons 2014 KX100. Note the Stock chain on the KX100 is a wimpy standard 420 size which any one who has this bike knows it will stretch and destroy in an hour regardless of brand. We upgraded to 428 size (wider) sprockets and bought 2 Pro Taper (non oring) chains. Chain stretch was about 50% less but we could still not go do a 50 mile ride (Hatfield McCoy Trails / Mountain rides) without tightening his chain every 20 miles. Not knowing an Oring was available in a 428 size, I found this one and immediately ordered it. 100% improvement!! Yes its big and heavy and has more drag but but we don't use this chain for WOT moto x. We rode 3 days of HMT 150 miles total and this chain stretched just enough to notice but its still in spec. First one of these I've purchased so not sure about the Durability. Should be good though with all the good reviews. It was the right length, pretty easy to put on, ( had a little trouble with the Master Link. ). Seems to be a great product. James

The OEM chain on the TW is garbage, I've done at least 4 adjustments to maintain proper chain tension on this bike in 600 miles since new. Thats every other ride! I can already tell this chain rolls and shifts smoother than the OEM and has not needed an adjustment in a further 200 miles. I looked everywhere for a cheaper 428 with 0-rings or x-rings and couldnt find a better deal than RM. Im realizing now its worth the price to protect my sprockets from quickly wearing out with the roller chain.Machine this part was bought for: 2013 YAMAHA TW20

Got this chain about a month ago for my TW200. I did not remove a link due to putting on a new rear 47th sprocket and now sits at #6 on my snail adjuster. The master link I pressed home using a small nut and a pair of vise grips. I see complaints about master link being small, well yea it has keep seals, so it not going to slide on like a non O or X chain. I dont see a lot of drag but then my old chain was worn out and rusty =)
I purchased this chain to replace the original elastic chain on my Yamaha TW. The original chain was finished only after 8k km. This chain is good quality and should last a lot longer then the poor quality oem chain. Yamaha should make a deal with DID to have this chain as a OEM part.
We recently converted my son's KX100 from 420 to 428 so that we could get an o-ring chain and stop adjusting the chain every riding day. The chain felt solid and we've used plenty of DID chains with no problem, but this one failed on about the 3rd riding day. Weird: one of the outer dogbone plates popped off and it completely sheared the two rivets on that link. In a LOT of years riding, I've never had this happen. I'll attribute it to a manufacturing defect and I'm buying another one (there aren't a lot of competitors).
It is great having an O-ring chain on my kids his KTM 85‘s. I no longer have to adjust or lube the chain ever. The only problem is this chain is very wide and heavy. I’m sure there’s another 420 sized chain with an o-ring out there in the world. Until I can find that one though, this one is well worth its value even if it is a little heavier.
Our family of 5 have been riding ATV's for @ 10 years now. We gave our 6th grader a 2 stroke dirt bike for Christmas so it was new to all of us. I cannot thank RMAMC enough for this website and their "how to" videos. It has been so much fun teaching myself how do perform all kinds of services and part replacements. This is the best website for ATV and dirtbike parts and videos. Thank you for making it easy!!!!-m-2015 YAMAHA YZ85--
Bought this chain on April 15 and I didn't do much riding at all this season. It's now September and I happened to be rotating the rear tire on the bike and found that the chain has an entire section that's too tight and too lose on the opposite side...in short, it's gone already.I typically see 30,000k out of a chain because I keep them properly tensioned and lubricated. It's shot and it's got less then 10k on it and it was lubricated often.
I purchased this to replace the stock chain on my TW200. I have purchased my tw200 new only a few months ago and the stock chain is just rubish. So like my other toyz I put on a DID X-ring and all problems solved. These run much quieter, stay lubricated better, and do not stretch nearly as much as any other chain.Great product!!!-m-2017 YAMAHA TW200--
