I have a few different Ice Boxes / Eskys, as well as powered portable compressor fridges. However, I bought the next size up of this Dometic Cool Ice icebox for my daughter and was impressed with the quality and efficiency of these models. I needed a smaller version for use at family outings, storage on camping trips etc to compliment my other compressor fridge. This is a great size for these sorts of applications and uses. Takes a reasonable amount of food and/or drinks and is excellent in cold retention over a long period, as well as being easily transportable. Dometic have a well deserved reputation for quality products. I would recommend this product.

Great cooler, highly recommend, quality is amazing, not a cheaply made cooler. It fits more in than you think and its true to its description, keeps everything frozen for days. Amazing! I pre froze everything had 1 flat icepack down the bottom food in the middle and iceoack on the top. Such a good purchase value for money and the handy strap makes it easier to carry and the tie down part for the car is a must. I ordered on line and did click and collect from Forster NSW Store. Very wasy to do quick pick up and lovely staff.

During the school hols in July we took the Ice Box away and we still had ice in it after using it for 4 days. it was opened many time during the day as it was for drinks. It was amazing. best Ice Box i own. Sensational. Thanks team.!

What a fantastic Ice Box this is! I got it for a recent camping trip. With a bottle of frozen water and one bag of ice everything remained icy cold for almost four days. I love the shape and size. With the side handles and convenient shoulder strap it is really easy for me to manage. At 50% off this was a great bargain that will last me for years.
Make no mistake, this is not your old plastic esky. Use the thermal ice packs and your stuff will be cold for days. It's pretty heavy but very tough. You won't break it. I got this one because of the height, it carries 2 litre bottles easily with plenty of room to allow for the ice packs. Besides being the best Ice Box I've ever owned, it is a seat, a footrest, a bedside and side table. You'll never have to buy another one.
We bought this for when the 80 liter Waeco 12 volt fridge is full and we need extra chilled storage. It does keep cold for several days. We have used a couple of gel filled freezer bricks and rotated them daily with frozen ones from the Waeco fridge. This worked well and kept the beer, fruit and salad things cold. 33 liters is big enough for over a dozen cans of beer plus the aforementioned fruit and salad.The icebox is solid, looks very durable and is well designed. The lid closes with a rubber seal and has good solid hinges, the handles are strong enough for the job and have integrated tie down points - which is very handy. The latches look a bit flimsy, but so far have proven me wrong and worked well. I bought this for my husbands lockdown birthday and he loves it. It has a nice wide strap, sturdy handles which stow away neatly and cool bungy style latches at front for quick opening and closing. I like the drain hole for allowing melted ice to escape. We half filled it with beer and wine and one bag of ice and it was pretty heavy but manageable. The ice was still frozen the next day with only a little melted. Apparently if full and left mostly closed it will stay frozen for 3-4 days. Overall we’re very happy with it. We look forward to taking it bush and beach when we can!
Took it to a 3 day camping trip using reusable gel packs to keep food cold. It was spacious enough to fit breakfast for 3 days (yogurt, eggs and sausages), two dinners (spag bol) and 3 lunches (schnitzel and salad wraps) including fruit and juice for 2 people. Kept everthing cold throughout the three days in mild weather (15 - 20 degrees Celsius during the day). Easy to carry, the right size to fit all we needed and didn't take up too much room in the car.
I was tossing up whether I should buy a car fridge but the space they take up and the need I had really was for just a really good Esky. So this one fits snuggly under the pull over canopy in the boot space. I tested it out last week and it's amazingly efficient. You can stand wine bottles up in it - a bonus for the better half 😉. The bag of ice barely melted over 36 hours - very happy with it.
Too heavy to carry for one when loaded - too heavy when empty.Shoulder strap not adjustable & too short.Shoulder strap doesn’t even have a pad to avoid injury given its weight.This plastic box, which purports to be an esky, can’t keep a bag of ice from melting into a slurry past 7 hours.I also tested when first purchased by putting in a bag of ice and nothing more. Next day melted.Shame!
