It's cheaper than the Yeti, Dometic has been in business longer, they have more time and research in keeping stuff cool and the price is less. The cooler also sits nice in the back of my rig. The color is nice and the ice fits with a couple of cold ones. Over all not bad.

I filled it with 30 pounds of ice and was disappointed to see that more than half the ice was melted within the first 12 hours. By the second morning it was down to cold water. Food that was supported in the basket was not kept cold enough and went bad.Compared to the far more expensive brands, I think it still offers value based on price alone, but doesn't seem to perform the same. I chose Dometic purely because of their active involvement and support of outdoor recreation.

I've only used it once, but it did a great job. Kept ice cold all day. The only drawback is the weight. It's a little heavy when you get it loaded.
I bought this product as I have the Dometic patrol 55L icebox and have had no problems has been great for our long camping trips. So decided to get the smaller one for beach trips and picnics only to discover it leads when complete sealed. Quite the disappointment. It leaks out the back up the top where there is not a full lip to be pushed into the seal like at the front of the icebox. I figure if it leaks than it's probably not going to keep everything cool as long as it says and as long as the 55L one will.
I bought it roughly 3 weeks ago and after a few uses the foot peg fell off. I bought the 35L one but essentially the same. I wasn’t rough with it. It’s a cooler so it was picked up and set down a few times. I contacted support and they didn’t have another peg to buy. So I’m out over 200 dollars. Can’t recommend. The insulation is now accessible through a hole underneath it.
So, overall a good cooler. Keeps ice for a decent while. Dometic responded to my emails quickly. However, I bought it on June 13th and after using it 5 times one of the rubber foot pegs already came off. This allows access to the inside insulation. I’m not going to say I treated the cooler like a baby, but who really does? I definitely wasn’t rough with it though. It really just isn’t durable for the price. I bought the smaller patrol version of this one.
Dometic know how to keep your food cold and your drinks ready to drink! Always had Dometic fridges and this esky lives up to it's powered brothers. This keeps ice for a full weekend. Seriously cool esky!
Sadly found Dometic Patrol Icebox did not live up to the reviews, ice did not last 2-3 days. We had to top up the ice daily on its maiden off-grid camping trip in March with temperatures <28 degrees.
A great icebox. Rugged, good looking and well constructed. It keeps things cold for days, using just a couple of ice bricks. Highly recommended product.
