I was in need of a pair of comfortable, stylish and practical shoe suitable for a working environment. True to reputation these shoes have ticked all the boxes. Can wear these shoes with smart wear and casual wear. Well worth the price tag. Knowing they’ll last a long time just as my other DM’s have done. Invested purchase. If you’re thinking about purchasing I 100% recommend.I’m usually a 4.5 size. I opted for a size 5, perfect fit.

I LOVE these shoes. Wore them for the first time today for work and no issues- so comfy! They look absolutely fantastic and I feel smart wearing them for work but with some personality wearing these Docs!The Virginia version of these shoes is particularly soft compared to the others I tried on in store too. I sized down half a size which was perfect for me. There are different colour laces too which I only considered when I saw in store so brought the classic brown and yellow ones. I hope these will last me a long time, they certainly feel like a quality pair of shoes you'd expect from Dr Martens!

Doesn't matter what anyone says you can't beat the classic Dr Martens. Was deciding for months & months whether to pay the whopping £140.00 for my black virginia shoes after paying peanuts for some 30 years ago but so glad I did! But had to take the bulky insole out to accommodate my wide feet, and used a shoe stetch spray inside and now they fit perfectly! Really happy! Recommended 100%

So comfy, very little break in required. New fave! Heartily recommend them to anyone who wants docs but can’t face the traditional slog to get them broken in. I will say the sizings are a little bonkers but I do have a high instep though. My two older docs were a six and fitted fine. I tried a six in these and it was way too tight. A second pair of sixes was better but didn’t want to chance it. Tried a 6.5 in a different colour and they were enormous but got 6.5 in black online and they were perfect.
I purchased a size 6 in this shoe at the end of last year, the size 6 fit but as I’m on my feet all day I needed to allow for thick socks, foot swell etc. I chose to sell these privately and ordered a pair of size 7. When they arrived they were the hard leather instead of the soft leather (purchased from a different shoe store) I tried to break them in but the crease across the toe was digging in and making them unbearable to wear. I then ordered the 6.5 in the soft leather, they arrived quickly and when I got them out of the box they looked tiny. I thought maybe it was just the way they looked so I checked the box and label and both said 6.5. However, when it came to trying them on I couldn’t even get my feet in them. They are more like a size 4 or 5. I have ... I ordered these for my daughter as a surprise 'thank you' gift. She loves them, has received lots of positive compliments.We used to buy Dr Martens shoes regularly for my son and daughter for school shoes and I was surprised by the extensive range available now. My daughter in law also loved the shoes and will be getting a cream pair for Christmas. My daughter will be getting a Dr Marten mini handbag. I am now a regular browser!!!
I’m a UK size 4 with a slim foot, bought a size 4 in black and they’re perfect. Wearing with dresses, mini skirts, ankle length jeans and fluffy jumpers and they have the exact look I wanted - chunky but not overly so, smart and cool. As other reviewers have said no need to wear in, really comfy from the get go. My first pair of DMs for many years and I’m so happy I went for it!
Added a heel cushion for comfort since the back tore me up a bit at first, even with double socks. Tight at first and a bit painful on top of foot but after a week of thick sock wear they’re relaxing and molding nicely. Definitely need to have a leather conditioner to keep the virginia happy. Super pleased, wear them everyday for a medical office job and they also work so well for casual wear. So easy to style, so classy without trying. What a nice shoe. Usually wear a six and the six fits well with a medium-thin wool blend sock.
I Bought these Dr Martin Shoes for my daughter’s 19th birthday & ready for her starting in her nurse training. She already has some Dr Martins boots that my sister bought her for her 18th birthday and she has been a fan ever since! She is now wearing these new shoes in & loving them up to now as much as her boots! 😊💖
The Virginia Leather is a beautiful soft leather, I bought these for work as I work 13 hours shifts and they are perfect.These have replaced my old Patricia Dr Marten shoes which lasted many years working very long shifts, i didn’t think I’d replace the comfort of the Patricia shoe but these have been a good replacement.It would be nice to see the Patricia shoe (in black) available again as they’ve been my favourite shoes.But these 1461 Virginia Leather as the next best shoe.
