First came across this scent in the form of hotel toiletries at a luxury Sofitel resort in Asia, and thought it’d be brilliant as a cologne, since the scent was vibrant, citrusy and sophisticated. I found out that such a thing already existed, but when I bought it, its performance was disappointing. The scent just dissipates completely within an hour of spraying it…it’s like you didn’t put on any cologne at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love the scent—it’s inoffensive and masculine-leaning to my taste—but I don’t see myself repurchasing a cologne that performs this badly. Maybe I’ll just take some shampoos as souvenirs the next time I stay at a Sofitel.

Lovely cologne this one. If you like Hugo Boss's orange, you'll like this one better - or at least you ought to.The initial orange is a superb recreation, far different than the citrus top notes of many other perfumes. Strange that the notes list lemon and mandarin, but no actual orange. It took me several wearings before I could make out the mango, but like one of those magic eye 3D images, once you've got it, it reveals itself to you effortlessly. Soft and peachy. It's woody and earthy too when it develops. Luckily the middle and top notes never really disappear, they politely make way for the oakmoss and patchouli, but you keep bumping into them. All this winds down into a lovely, soft, powdery finale. Chic and refined.

Truly, I’m only using this daily to work because I don’t want to use my other colognes, and it was a gift. It smells like oranges and lemon (not to mention I love putting lemon on my food!). I spray about 3-5 pumps on my body - I kind of want to finish it so I can move in to my next cologne. It’s not a bad fragrance, it’s just that I can tell this is more alcohol than oil. I’m so used to Tom Ford colognes that I love the oil-based colognes rather than alcohols based. This is Hermès which is pricey but it doesn’t mean it’s great - I mean, sure I use it Monday-Friday but only for work. It’s my go-to cologne during work days but definitely not for nighttime. This is more of a morning/afternoon aroma that’s not very overwhelming. I’m more than halfway done with it which ... I’m more than halfway done with it which tells you that I do not hate it - it’s alright, just not really what I would prefer wearing. The scent isn’t distinctive - it’s just like any other cologne where you really cannot tell it’s Chanel No. 5 because it doesn’t really stand out.

One of the most realistic orange perfumes. It is unisex, I think both women and men can rock this. It is great for summer and spring. It's a daytime wear, the longevity is not that great but it projects heavily during the first moments. It's super popular and if you like Hermes, and if yiu like orange, you should get a bottle.
Cant get enough of the orange here, which then settles to a nice luxurious men fresh soapiness. It is an eau de cologne so I would recommend having a travel atomizer to re-apply during the day if you wish. Or you can switch to another fragrance mid-day. EdC give you flexibility where you may lack 12+ hour performance.
It smells gorgeous, citrus and earth notes with a hint of mint. The problem is that for the cost this is hard to justify at EDC concentration. You will smell great for a maybe an hour at most and then it is gone. The packaging is nice, nothing fancy but just a classic bottle. If you can find it for approximately 1/2 MSRP (or you've got money to burn) then go for it!
I was really excited to try this one because I am a huge fan of both mandarine and amber notes in my fragrances... but I was disappointed! It wasn't anything like I expected, I found this to be quite masculine leaning and a bit too "clean" smelling if you know what I mean. I tried! Maybe it's the passionfruit, I'm not the biggest fan of passionfruit.
Eau de Gentiane Blanche is a magnificently photorealistic depiction of gentian flower and damp humus, with deep, shadowy, savory vegetal elements that I've only ever encountered in Eau d'Italie Bois d'Ombrie (which I unfortunately never replenished). It opens with a spiky, sharp green tone for which I have a penchant (artemisia, wormwood, and thuja notes are so appealing to me as well). This sensation is much like that of metallic leaves of pelargonium (not the rosy-scented type) foliage under the sun, tomato leaves, green peppers, various nightshades, there's just something so wonderfully evocative, but it doesn't end there: the iris, which while not pronounced, provides a softer, shadier, almost somber counterpoint to it all, a shift from sun to shade, maybe ... This is most evident in the heart and the base, as a subtle smoke enters the picture, the incense element, shading the experience even further, which is an interesting contrast to the damp earth and leaves effect. For an EDC, this has the longevity of an EDT or even an EDP is your skin holds it well. While relatively linear, save for the more pronounced irones and incense in the drydown, it is really artfully composed and just beautiful to my nose. It really is the kind of fragrance that those who are drawn to a reflective, even pensive vibe would be enamored with. I am one of those thinkers and dreamers and I love it.
I sought this scent out because it was radically different from my usual cologne choices. It's somewhat light without being floral, and though the initial scents fade rapidly it has undertones which persist for most of the day. Give it half an hour and you'll find its impossible to skunk someone out, even in a closed car, no matter how much you use (I'm not advocating trying!). The most consistent comments I've gotten (after a few hours of wear) are "fresh" and "clean", which makes this a useful addition to my toolbox. Good for specific occasions and for mixing with some heavier darker scents, but probably not for all occasions for most guys. It's a reasonably good value if you want to try an Herms fragrance better deals seem to be available than on the better known ... In my experience all are of very good quality and none become downright annoying like many cheaper colognes, but they are unconventional enough as colognes go IMHO that you will want to try them before you buy.
Got this cologne for the summer. It smells like mandarine wood clean scents. Over time as it fades it gets better. Mandarine fades but you get the clean scent. Doesn’t stain clothes or collars. Scents last 2 days. Excellent buy. The quality may be compared to le labo. Won’t disappoint.
