A solid build. Very strong and quiet to knock on. A work of art. Holds liquid well and has large capacity if making ++ espresso drinks. Easy to clean. Best one you could have.

ECM never misses. The knock box is machined well. The edges are smooth. The rubber bar is removable for cleaning. The size is appropriate for at-home use. The weight is appropriate. The build is sturdy. Another win all around. No further improvements possible.

Pros - Solid, heavy, polished, branded, pricey, functional, large capacity.Cons - 1) So Massive it competes with the Synchronica as an Espresso Bar focal point. 2) At this price point, the screws that secure the knock bar to the unit should be machined and polished knobs instead of standard Phillips Head Screws and washers.

Good weight and build quality. I have been satisfied with everything I have bought from ECM so far. Gets the job done and looks great on the counter. Good size and doesn't move around when knocking pucks out.
Although I feel a bit ridiculous for having paid about $95 shipped for a metal container, there is no doubt that this is an excellent product. The construction is top notch metalwork and the knock bar fits tight in the unit. It is a really nice looking knockbox.Initially the unit bounced when struck with the portafilter but after a while this has calmed down. Perhaps the rubber feet have broken in some. It takes me about 2-3 whacks to drop the puck of coffee. The size of the unit is generous, larger than I expected. Very easy to use. Coffee making is now faster as I don't have to try to wander across the kitchen and back to get rid of the grounds on the edge of my trashcan (and it is breathing a sigh of relief from no longer being abused).Once a week or two I walk ... Apparently it is good for increasing earthworm activity.
We bought the ECM Round Knock Box to go with the new ECM Synchronika espresso machine. We LOVE the Knock Box! It has an extra large capacity, so we don't have to empty it frequently. The ECM Round Knock Box is also well-built and sturdy. It is elegant and looks great next to our new espresso machine!
Very high quality heavy stainless steel. Large size to accommodate many spent pucks. Nice addition to any home espresso set up especially if the rest of your gear is stainless. Matches beautifully. ECM always provides a high level of quality in their products.
It's probably overpriced, but it's nice. It's heavy. It is made of thicker steel than you may think, it has no flex. It doesn't move around thanks to a big pad on the bottom. The knock bar comes in and out easily, though I worry with longer term use potentially wearing on the pad due to repeated movements against the fairly sharp steel around the edges of the bar.Really, I only bought it because all my machines are ECM and I just wanted this to match. If you don't care about having a matching branded ECM knock box, you can certainly find cheaper options of reasonably similar quality, almost certainly right here on WLL.4 stars purely because of the price, it is not a great value, but it is an attractive and solid knock box.
Super looking and equally super build with the perfect size and proportions for puck after puck after puck usage. Highly recommend this knock box to anyone serious about their espresso setup and, of course, those who like an ECM-exclusive one (ours goes with Technika Profil V, Titan 64 grinder, and an array of other exceptionally engineered and aesthetically artful items from the company!
Packs were pretty tight so it too an aggressive shake over the sink to shake ‘em out. Definitely something was missing. Got this knock box that matches my ECM espresso machine nicely. Feels solid, looks great, does the job well, collects pucks, that are later dumped on the compost pile. Happy customer.
