Ego 56V 40cm (16") Brushless Cordless Chainsaw Skin - CS1610E

An excellent chain saw which performs even better than I had expected, quieter than petrol models, it cut through some large cordwood with ease and made the job a pleasure. I would recommend this model a good manageable size ideal for a variety of tasks.

This model shows several improvements over its previous incarnation - better chain tightening mechanism, much clearer oil level guide and it sits flat when refilling with oil. Not used it in anger yet but if it performs as good as my previous model I will be pleased.

All the power with none of the hassle.

I purchased recently and only used twice to fell two trees, both about one foot diameter, and cut into small logs. Works great, feels really well balanced with the 5Ah battery, it powers through the wood with ease. I can now get rid of my petrol / gas chain saw which has been giving me a lot of grief with starting and oil leaks. Early days but so far I am loving the Ego.

BRILLIANT

This chainsaw is fantastic!! Honestly cannot recommend this product enough! It has the same if not more power than my petrol 62cc chainsaw (which is now in retirement as I won’t need it) the battery is fantastic and last a long time before charges. You will not be disappointed!! 💪💪

Ego 1610 chainsaw

After buying an Ego 14 and 18 three years ago. The 14 packed in after been used a few times, it was replaced, but the replacement has now given up oiling the chain and bar. The 18 hasn't been a problem, after the 5 amp battery was replaced. I saw a 1610 review on YouTube by a garden machinery firm, who rated it very highly. So i thought i'd order a bare shell, as i already have batteries and chargers. Up to now, it's had around 5 battery charges through it and i cannot fault it. The faster chain speed has transformed the saw compared to the 14, it's got plenty of power for cutting large logs too. The variable trigger is a big bonus too, compared to the old on off style ones. Ego chainsaw

Great wee unit, no vibration, noise or fumes compared to my petrol saw, looked at Stihl electric saws and chose the Ego having used their strimmers, blowers and polesaws and I made the right choice. Batteries could last longer but you can't have everything.

Good quality and cuts well

I am far from being an expert on chainsaws but this seems to do the job well. It cuts quickly and is significantly quieter than a petrol powered chainsaw. It wasn't very expensive as I already had a battery for my lawn mower.

Lightweight yet powerful chainsaw

Provides plenty of power with a practical cutting length and yet is quite lightweight, particularly when coupled with a 2.5AHr battery pack which keeps it working much longer than you would imagine!Much quieter than any of the fuel powered versions and much more practical than having a mains powered unit with their associated cable safety concerns, etc.

No fuss cutting.

Used this to cut some small trees in to firewood. Easy to use, cuts quickly and efficiently. So far I'm very impressed with what is a relatively small (but very capable) chainsaw.

The way forward.

Great bit of kit, better than my old two Stoke echo. So glad I have gone down the battery path. I have a small woodland and use a chainsaw a moderate amount. This has made my life much easier around my plot.
