Not as easy to set up as they make it out to be. The movement back and forth takes up a lot of desk space. Also, when one factors in using a pull-out keyboard tray, the screens are not ergonomically with sight distance.

I was looking for a sturdy mount for my 40” ultra wide monitor. I purchased this one based off of some of the positive reviews I read and I am glad I did. The arm is very well built and works perfectly. You can tell that it will be able to handle a lot of weight. May purchase another for my wife’s 49” ultra wide as well. Very happy with the purchase. At $300+, I was skeptical. After it arrived though, I can see you get what pay for (in a good way!)Incredibly sturdy and versatile for any workspace setup. I'm sure my desk or my monitors will break before these arms ever do. I was able to take my small desk space and make it easy to organize my monitors for work vs personal computing.A quality product through and through. I've since ordered 2 more. One for another monitor, and one for a large drawing tablet.

I love these HX mounts so much I actually have four of them. I have four 32" displays that I divide up between work and play. The HXs keep the displays off the desktop, giving me a lot of valuable desk surface space back for other things. And they're vastly more flexible, movable, and adjustable than most OEM monitor stands are. And they're sturdy as heck, able to keep a heavy 32" display right where I want it at all times.The first three I purchased were the moment the HXs became available on the market which was a few years ago. They only came in one color at the time: white. The one I just purchased is silver/stainless steel colored, and it's... a bit gaudy. That's my fault for choosing it, and if I were to do it again, I'd just get another white one.
I am very happy about my purchase. Along with a very fast shipment, the product is very solid. I am currently using a 42" monitor and the HX monitor arm is holding it like a champ.
Easy to install, very sturdy, shipped quickly - it's perfect. For my use case I wanted my laptop to be open with the monitor (40" ultra wide) positioned just able the laptop screen. It was a little difficult to tell from the measurements, but it works well for that format.
I purchase the full Ergotron XS for my Samsung odyseey G9 ultra wide and ultra heavy. Unforunately I purchased the regular model and had to buy this extra pivot support. Please be careful if you purchase it for a Samsung G9 to select directly the right Ergotron model (more expensive one).
If you have a Samsung G9 or something similar, you need this HD Tilt Pivot. Bought it direct from Ergotron and arrived a few days later. Very happy with this and the wall mount arms I purchased through Erogtron store on Amazon.
The monitor mount component is high quality, and supports my Samsung G9 with ease. I am questioning, however, the need for this component....Upon opening it, it's virtually indistinguishable from the original mounting component. I now have an extra that was included with the original monitor arm. For the price I paid for the original, I think it was unnecessary to even NEED this additional part given how little the part was modified.It's a good mount, but I'd recommend finding alternatives for the total price paid.
Why use the factory stand with your ultrawide monitor when you can use the Ergotron HX monitor arm instead? IMHO, it’s that good! To be fair, I hide a lot of computers and peripherals behind my monitors and need to get behind the monitor frequently to change/swap cable or peripherals and to undock a laptop for travel. With this arm, I just effortlessly swing the monitor out of the way but had to pick up the monitor to move it and work behind it with the factory stand - ultrawides aren’t light. If you have a similar use case, I recommend this mount. All of the alternatives I found were either mast mounted or did not have the articulation of this one
