Estee Lauder Micro Essence Treatment Lotion With Bio-Ferment 400ml

I was fortunate to receive a sample size of this product as part of a voxbox. I used this as directed until the product ran out, which was after about 10 days. The only change in my skin I noticed was that it felt smoother after applying the product. It did not make a lasting change in my skin texture; my skin was only smoother right after applying the product and not still smooth after the product was removed. It has a very sticky consistency that takes a long time to dry down. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for it to dry (probably more like 10), during which my skin was covered in a sticky film. I do not have redness, fine lines, or wrinkles…so I don’t think I’m really the target demographic for this product. Maybe that is why I didn’t notice much of a change in ... MoreI was fortunate to receive a sample size of this product as part of a voxbox. My skin is also extremely oily and acne prone, and I got breakouts all over while using this product. I rarely get breakouts any more because I’ve learned how to manage my acne, but something in this seemed to set it off. While I did appreciate how smooth my skin felt while using this, it had no positive impact on the actual appearance of my skin. I didn’t notice any change in how my other skincare products were working, nor did my makeup seem to go on any differently. This product is definitely not for me. It would be better suited to someone with dry/lackluster skin with uneven skin tone and fine lines….and even then I’m not sure it is worth the high price.

Today I am reviewing another lovely Micro Essence from Estée Lauder. I had previously reviewed the Sakura ferment iteration of this essence with minimal results. Though much the same product, this original version complete with Bio-Ferment is slightly different. This facial essence comes as a clear liquid, housed within a clear frosted bottle with a blue geometric design along the front. The cap is a metallic gold that screws on and serves as the crown to this skincare piece. My top complaint with the Sakura essence was that it was too watery, or “waterlight” as they say. While still not as dense as the type of toner I prefer, at least with this essence I didn’t find the formula running off my face like pure water. While still not as dense as the type of toner I prefer, at least with this essence I didn’t find the formula running off my face like pure water. This has a certain type of hold to its texture that felt quite nourishing to my parched skin straight out of the shower. There is no color or fragrance to this product, though there is the vague lingering scent of fresh canvas. Something interesting that I experienced was a slight tingling, almost vibrating sensation. I was beginning to fear that I may have been having an allergic reaction, but I didn’t see any adverse effects on my face so I carried on. There are ingredients in this formula that are said to combat redness and irritation. I am not sure what ingredient made my skin buzz in the way that it did, but this was only a fleeting sensation that subsided within a few minutes. Overall, this is a great toning essence for normal to dry skin. Other than hyaluronic acid, this formula also consists of Bifida Ferment Lysate and Lactobacillus Ferment to aid in the repair and strengthening of the skin barrier. If your skin is like mine, falling on the far end of the dry spectrum, you will probably benefit from a heavier toner with a thicker consistency. I ended up using my regular toner afterwards for this reason. I am a true believer in the power of probiotic skincare, so I will be keeping this gem close by for some extra skin biome support when needed.

@influenster Sent me @esteelauder Micro-Essence treatment lotion with bio ferment complementary to test and review honestly. I was really excited when I found out that I was getting the Estée Lauder #Voxox and couldn’t wait for it that barrive! It got here about a week ago and I really did like how my skin has been looking and feeling the last few days . My skin has felt more moisturized and the dry patches I had on my cheeks are no longer there. It’s a thin liquid but also thicker then water but not oily. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky like some of the exercises I’ve tried and it definitely absorbs fast. I only wish I had more but I would definitely recommend giving it a try and I would purchase this myself it comes in different size bottles to fit any ... More@influenster Sent me @esteelauder Micro-Essence treatment lotion with bio ferment complementary to test and review honestly. Feels smooth

I'm a big fan of fermented products and have been experimenting with different brands, primarily in Korea and Japan. I like that this product is made in Japan as well. I only had a sample size so can't speak to the long the effects But I did use this for about a month, AM and PM, so a little goes a long way.I love the slip of the essence when applying. It feels smooth like oil/silicone without having those ingredients and absorbs quickly with no detectable fragrance. I don't know if the full size versions have the same applicator but it would be better if it had one that dispenses the product better than just pouring it out of the bottle and using too much product. It WA's hydrating and I can see someone with oily skin use this over the summer as a one and done ... MoreI'm a big fan of fermented products and have been experimenting with different brands, primarily in Korea and Japan. However, there are much more economical priced products in Korea and Japan with similar benefits. I say that, but prior to receiving this to try, I had just splurge on (and delayed using) another Japanese brand in a similar price point as many reviewers had attested to it being a holy grail. I'm glad I got to try this so that I have a benchmark for products in the same price point. This is my first time using Estée Lauder for skin care and I would try other products based on this experience. I have gifted their skin care products to others though.

Gentle yet Effective

I have tried other "fermented" products in the past and generally enjoyed them, but this was my first use of such a product from a brand as big and well known as Estee Lauder. I have grown up knowing the brand and one of my first "grown up" perfumes was Beautiful, bought for me by a high-school boyfriend. It's crazy to think how long ago that was! However, when I saw I would be receiving this Estee Lauder Micro Essence sample from Influenster to try out and give my opinions about, I was excited, if a bit intimidated. It is referred to as Treatment Lotion, though its consistency is purely liquid. I prefer to use one of my reuseable bamboo+cotton rounds to apply; it is just easier and ensures I don't lose any product. It goes on much like a toner. I like that it is cooling, especially if popped in the fridge while you're washing your face, and helps to calm and rehydrate if your cleanser is maybe too stripping, or if you got a bit too enthusiastic with the exfoliator. It is perfect to swipe on before the rest of your skincare routine, since moist skin is more conducive to absorbing serum, moisturizers, etc. I have nearly gone through my sample, and wish it would magically refill itself.Even with my skin leaning oily, I didn't feel like this made me any "dewier" than normal. I can certainly see people with drier skin getting more pleasure out of this product.

Left my skin soft, hydrated and redness free.

It had a very light scent, and feels like and looks like water. This product goes on great, does not feel oily or greasy. Almost a watery feel to it. It feels really good when applied to your skin. This product is described as a lotion which it is not. To me it looks, feels and acts just like water, but slightly more viscous. It's for all skin types, although ideal for dry skin, redness or irritation, pores, and healthy-looking skinIts key ingredient is What the company calls a micronutrient bio-ferment, a concentrate of peptides that support cellular renewalA little bit of this micro essence will leave your skin soft, smooth, and glowing. Luxurious, soothing, refreshing

I had some trepidation at first when I was notified that Influenster and Estée Lauder were sending me a trial size of Micro Essence Treatment Lotion with Bio-Ferment. I have had acne issues with some other K-beauty ferments. Not only did this Micro Essence not cause any acne, but it helped lightly hydrate my (acne-prone but dehydrated) skin, helped to soften some of my very fine lines, and seemed to even out and calm my skin. I always looked forward to applying it, sometimes twice a day, because of the effect it had on my skin and because it just felt like such a luxury. This Micro Essence also never caused any pilling, despite anything I applied over it. I could apply this under my acne treatments, anti-aging treatments, SPF, makeup, etc. It applied and dried ... MoreI had some trepidation at first when I was notified that Influenster and Estée Lauder were sending me a trial size of Micro Essence Treatment Lotion with Bio-Ferment. This Micro Essence also never caused any pilling, despite anything I applied over it. I could apply this under my acne treatments, anti-aging treatments, SPF, makeup, etc. It applied and dried quickly. My only hesitation in purchasing is the price. Even then, this Micro Essence is priced very competitively; it is cheaper per ounce than the competitors I've used. Micro Essence felt more soothing and pleasant on my skin versus the famed "miracle water" essence. When used under my usual anti-aging product, Micro Essence ensured I woke up with soft skin. The "miracle water," when used the same way, surprisingly left me with dry, textured skin. Micro Essence also doesn't feel greasy or overly hydrating, unlike an expensive single ingredient essence. Because it doesn't pack a huge hydration punch, Micro Essence can be used to amplify the effects of a lighter moisturizer (if one is even needed) in the summer and under a heavier moisturizer in colder months.I would recommend Micro Essence Treatment Lotion with Bio-Ferment to anyone not bothered by the price and who is looking for light hydration that works under makeup, moisturizers, serums, and other skincare treatments. I would also recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves, because this felt like such a joy to apply. I'm shocked by how much I like this!

Makes my skin feel like it used to

I've been using Ester Lauder for 30 years. I started when I met my BFF in college. She taught me the importance of protecting my skin from aging started when we're young. So, along with sunscreen, I've used Estée Lauder through the different phases of my life. I received a sample bottle of this product and WOW!! It's been a total game changer for me. I'm a 58 yo, post menopause woman. My skin was just missing something. It was a little droopy in the neck, and a little dryer than usual. Menopause will do this. I started using this every night and noticed that my skin felt softer, plumper and looked more like me! I purchased a big bottle and I use it every night. This is my regimen. I purchased a big bottle and I use it every night. This is my regimen. After I wash my face and give it a pat with a towel, I use the Micro Essence Treatment. You only need about 4-5 drops. I shake it into my hand, rub them together and rub it from my neck up. I let it dry for a moment, then I do the same with the Advanced Night Repair Serum, Under Eyer Gel (which feels amazing!)the Multi Recovery Complex and finish with the Revitalising Supreme Creme. I can't stop the hands of time marching forward. But, with Ester Lauder on my side, I can always look like my best version of me. And, a few years younger.

Micro Essence

Super excited to be able to try the new and improved version of the micro essence in exchange for my honest experience. We are not seeing brands adapt to the wonders of fermentation in their products. Skincare is formulated with fermentation for more purity, potency and power. So Nice!

I was very excited to receive a trial size of the Estee Lauder Micro Essence Treatment Lotion with Bio-Ferment from Influenster for review. Essence is not a step that I had been using in my skin care routine so I was really interested in seeing if it was worth the added time and expense. I really didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised when I tried some on my had and noticed the immediate results of softer and more hydrated looking skin. The trial size bottle didn't have any kind of pump or dropper and so I just poured a small amount into the palm of my hand and patted it into my face, I'm sure you could also use a cotton square or cloth. I wasn't sure when best to apply so referred to the suggestion given with the product and used it after cleansing, before moisturizer and/or serums at night and in the morning. After gently applying the product in I could immediately see that my skin looked slightly more hydrated, which was nice, but what I love is the smoothed softness it gives me. It made anything I applied after it go on smoother and blend more easily. I have combination skin and regardless of the foundation I used (usually Estee Lauder's Double Wear) it left me with a dewier finish, which I liked, even though it did mean I had to powder a little more than usual throughout the day. I am 35 years old with some fine lines and also thought that it slightly blurred their appearance. Overall, I think this Micro Essence is a very nice product and, in my opinion, worth the splurge.
