This boat is so much fun. I was very skeptical at first thinking it would last a summer and be done. I’ve had this for several years now and the biggest issue was I had to patch a small hole. It comes with a patch kit though and was super easy. I would recommend buying an electric pump for quicker inflation and deflation.

This Blow up Boat is a great way to get around in some nice calm waters very well made to last! The Oars are a great accessory and if you want to you can even mount a small motor to it but you have to ad a Battery to boot the motor future purchase but for now we are paddlers! Bon Voyage!

Great buy!!!! Blows up very fast with a cheap air pump I bought that hooks up to my car. Lots of room for 2 people fishing could probably fit another person comfortably in needed. Does fantastic with my Minn Kota 30 lb thrust trolling motor. The fishing rod holders are the best but they do the job. Does great with waves just rides over smoothly.

Fun outing
10 October 2022

well, we took the leap and launched the boat today. I purchased the intex 6C pump, it took about 25 minutes to get all 3 sections pumped up, I did use the included hand pump to finish pumping to the recommended pressure. We launched the boat at a local lake using the boat ramp. The easiest way I found was to get in it, was to sit on the side and swing our legs into the boat. We were on the lake 2 hours, the boat didn't loose any air. Checked the bottom of the boat after sliding it thru the rocks, there wasn't a mark on the bottom at all. The paddles supplied worked perfectly . It was all deflated and packed up within 15 minutes. It was fun! Good quality material. Less durable than what I initially expected but that’s on me. Will have to modify the bottom and add plywood so I can take my dog on the boat (nails might puncture the inflatable bottom). Other than that, it’s a good quality raft for short boat rides. Might add a trolling motor so we can go further out!

Great Starter Boat - A Few Flaws
5 October 2020

We purchased the Excursion 4 set with oars and pump from Intex directly as most other sellers had it marked up significantly, or were out of stock. After using it a little, I can say we are happy with it as an introduction to inflatable boats. There were some issues we had - the small length of twine for the envelope storage is too small to knot the way the instructions show, and wouldn't stay put. Also slightly annoying, the inner chamber for the floor has a pinch style nozzle rather than a boston valve making deflation much more difficult as you have to physically pinch the valve as you lay on the boat to deflate it. The two large outer chambers have valves you can unscrew to let the air out, which is much easier to do.Overall the material and build quality of ... MoreWe purchased the Excursion 4 set with oars and pump from Intex directly as most other sellers had it marked up significantly, or were out of stock. The two large outer chambers have valves you can unscrew to let the air out, which is much easier to do.Overall the material and build quality of the boat is just fine, and if treated well and properly stored it will probably last years. The boat itself is a raft, and sits on top of the water, so you're susceptible to waves and wakes from larger craft. It's also quite flexible and not very rigid if inflated properly (you don't want it too full otherwise you risk popping the chambers on anything hard or sharp). So waves will make the boat twist and roll which isn't too bad, but if you're expecting to have a dry outing, you'd better stay away from anywhere that isn't glassy smooth. Ocean or lakes with other motorized craft will likely get some water in your boat at some point. Other reviews on other sites mention the oars are not great. I agree. They give you the basic and that's it. The boat is too wide to use a single oar comfortably as a paddle as you would in a canoe, and when the oars are in the oar locks, it's difficult to get deep into the water and propel yourself much. We settled on two people sitting side by side and each using an oar as a paddle, but that was inefficient and we eventually gave up and just floated around, and only used oars to adjust direction, or to spin the boat. You won't get too far with this as a self-propelled craft. You probably will need a small trolling motor to use it to cruise around in, or upgrade to much longer oars. If you're going to do any kind of add ons like a hard floor, or motor, I feel like the extra few hundred dollars to get a nicer boat would be better. But for something you break out once in a blue moon, and store away most of the year, this is a great little raft for just relaxing in and floating.

Great and tough but internal baffle chamber seams are a little weak.
1 July 2021

We made 2 trips approximately 4.5 and 8.8 miles in the New River. We added a hard floor but the boat is a whole lot tougher than I ever thought it would be. Rocks, limbs and shelfs and not one mark on it....period. It did lose the bafle between the 2 main chambers but no big deal. I'd trust it any day and it had no issues with the baffle between chambers blown out. ....and no we did not over fill it. I still love it for smallmouth floating..

Great little boat!
1 February 2023

Fun boat, been out on it twice. It feels sturdy and well made. It says it’s a four person boat but really fits 3 full sized humans comfortably (a fourth would be a squish). It is easy to inflate and deflate. Bought a bigger foot pump at a large online retailer to speed up inflation and deflation. It takes about 20 minutes to put together and another 20 to put away. The oars work fine. Contemplating a motor…

Description says 4 person, this is a 2 person boat. If you are 100lbs or less then yes maybe a 4 person boat then... Other than that, this boat is super thick and sturdy, the hand pump gets the job done a lot faster than I thought... Super easy to clean... We had ours in the lake and man did we have so much fun... If you like a taller back and sides to prop on, don't use the seats, but the seats get you out of the floor and keep your legs from going numb... It's not really heavy, almost like carrying a full 5 gallon bucket for each person maneuvering the boat... Went up fast, came down almost as fast, the seats don't self deflate and the oars you have to pop apart to put back in the bag and the floor of the boat you have to manually take the air out... The floor is ... MoreDescription says 4 person, this is a 2 person boat. If you are 100lbs or less then yes maybe a 4 person boat then... The floor is much sturdier than I heard everyone complaining about, it's like a bean bag, not a sinking balloon... But if you plan on standing up and keeping your balance as other boats go by, then you may want to look into building a solid floor for your boat just for extra balance... I thought this boat would be thin and cheap but it's made very well and it's not going to easily pop... I am so glad I have a boat that I can put back in the closet without all the fees and worrying about break downs and so forth... I couldn't have asked for a better toy! I love my boat! Just remember the 2 person boat is for 1 person, the 4 person boat is for 2 people, other than that you CAN NOT go wrong with this boat... The picture makes the boat look small, I am 5'10", my boyfriend is 6'2" and we had perfect leg room to stretch out!

Tough for the money!
18 June 2018

The boat inflates quickly with the included pump and is ready to go in minutes. The quality for the money is very good. I thought it would be thin and easy to get a cut in it. It is actually pretty thick and durable. Before we take it into the lake, the kids played with this inside of the pool. Had 4 teenaged boys jumping all over this things and play fighting on it. They beat this up and it survived them. No leaks or cuts or anything. I am confident to take this to a lake now and row around with it. For the price this is a great boat.
