Bought unit in June 2019. After many annoying beeping sounds, unit stopped working altogether in March 2022. Unit lasted three years, not the designated 10 years. I checked the battery but it still didn't work. Going back to Bunnings for a refund.

I purchased this less than 2 years ago and it now beeps sometimes constantly (at 3am) or occasionally beeps.Considering that is has a 10year?????? battery, absolutely useless.

Easy to install, tested and ready to go. Happy we ith the purchase.
Easy to install. Longlife Li battery of 10yr lifespan
This item replaced the previous design of this model (that failed within the 10 year warranty period). I purchased the same brand / model as I expected the main body to lock into the former base assembly. Not only was it not compatible with the former mounting base but the holes to mount the new base were at at different pitch circle diameter to former, requiring further screw holes in the ceiling. To top it off the new unit is smaller in diameter than former thus revealing an unpainted band around the new unit. Such obvious design flaws make you wonder about the design of the functional components.
From the moment i had them connected beeping all the time. Glad I found other people were having the same issues before trying to persevere.
Gave me lots of false alarms and often didn't trigger for actual smoke. A recall was issued for this so I took the opportunity to swap it for another brand.
I've had other brands which are still going after many years. I bought this unit just over 12 months ago & is now giving false alarms. As they have a 10 year warranty (listed on the brochure) I will be exchanging it for another as this may have just been a "one off". Make sure you keep your receipt
