Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers Poultry & Beef Wet Cat Food

Food is so hard to review because cats can be picky, and what goes for one cat won't for another.Randomly, half-way through, my cat decided that he didn't like the turkey and giblets flavor. Just refused to eat it. From there, he got less interested in the other flavors as well. By the end of the pack, he didn't always finish his wet food, which was unusual for him (he's very food-motivated).I tried a few other brands with varying success before ultimately settling on the seafood grilled collection.All that said, this food seems high-quality, and my cat was quite excited by it at first. It's a great option when you're looking for wet food that isn't seafood based.

Chewy is the Best

There is nothing special about my canned cat food but I wanted to just give credit to how special I believe this company is. From their selection and pricing to the most important detail their customer care and service. The care given by this company when someone loses a fur baby is 2nd to NONE. Every story I read about what Chewy does is remarkable. So not only does this company step up in the worst of times they also show up for the best of times. I received a hand written message inside of a birthday card for my sweet 10 year old schnauzer Rooni. I mean what other company on the planet actually does this?? What a terrific company!!

Fantastic!

I was looking for something a little cheaper for my baby girl because, well, financially the Sheba I've been feeding her is a little too much. She is worth it, mind you. I just can't continue with the holidays, spending Sheba prices. I found Fancy Feast even if it only saved me a few dollars, it's a few dollars! I didn't want Friskies or 9 lives, they irritate her stomach. Fancy Feast was the next best thing to try and she loves it. Of course, she had to get used to it at first, but it happened pretty quickly. She doesn't like Pate of any kind and she has grown fond of poultry flavors above the seafood flavors. This was a great purchase, perfect size. So far, so good. Inconsistent.

Not sure how I feel. At first when I bought this for my cat, I was super happy. HE wouldn't eat any of his other wet foods. He would only lick the gravy up. I buy this for the first time, he licked the bowl clean. It made me very happy to see him finally eating, and a relief. I buy two more boxes of this pricey food and the texture/consistency of the meat changed. It went from a nice texture where there were strands of meat, to this strange looking meat that looks like Friskies. The pieces of meat look like square cuts or something. My cat also isnt eating the food anymore.

Juicy looking

My cats really like the Fancy Feast gravy lovers series of canned food. This particular one I'm reviewing happens to be Chicken Feast in gravy grilled in the gravy lovers. All it basically is... is the same flavor and texture, but it has extra juice or gravy consistency. I personally have cats that have a water fountain and they're very good at drinking water. I believe this would be good for cats if you're trying to get extra moisture into their diet, if you can't get them to drink enough water ...something along that line. But I don't really have that problem ..my cats just like to eat it because it's extra juicy. I do recommend this particular flavor and I recommend Fancy Feast to friends and family.

Mervin’s Favorite

My cat Mervin currently has a toothache. I was previously buying him shredded wet food from a higher end brand and he stopped eating it. I’ve tried so many different brands, flavors, and types of pate and some are hit or miss depending on his mood. He will always eat when it is the fancy feast, pate meals. He has an appointment for a full mouth extraction in a couple weeks and my local store doesn’t always stock all the flavors. I was able to order a bunch of different flavors through Chewy. It arrived next day and now I have enough to get him to his surgery. Thanks, chewy!

No more Fancy Feast for my babies

I have had my Lucy for over 12 years, and my Polly, 9 years. Their whole lives I have given them Fancy Feast, various varieties like this Gravy Lovers and the ones with Cheddar. They have always eaten it without issues.Well, Purina has done something to these foods over the last several months. What used to be 60 cents a can in the supermarket is now $1.70 a can for the 3 oz cans. And they are using lower quality ingredients. My cats won’t go near this.I bought this box and opened it tonight. I gave them the Gravy Lovers Turkey, which they used to devour, they wouldn’t touch it. I dumped it and opened 2 cans of the beef. The beef used to be a dark brown color, with a rich dark brown gravy. And it smelled AWFUL. The cans weren’t compromised, and have an expiration date of 2025. They wouldn’t touch that either. I had to dump that as well. I am done with Fancy Feast!

Pate is smooth, as pate should be!

Fancy Feast definitely makes a nice smooth pate, unlike some of the cheaper brands whose pate has bigger pieces, including bone fragments from byproducts. I've never seen that in Fancy Feast, and thus variety is no exception. All my cats like it, and the beef-chicken flavor is suitable even for my cats who can't eat plain beef pate without vomiting. All the flavors in this package also work well as a "base" for mixing in powdered supplements (lysine, probiotics, etc.). It can also be fed to kittens in a pinch, if you run out of kitten food. I definitely recommend this product!

The best from the rest

My Bengal boy loves fancy feast. As we adopted Bynx the Bengal al most 1 year ago we went through the food changes challenge until we found what our guy loved and benefited from the most. We had tried several foods for Bynx everything from wet, dry, freeze dry, and even some home cooking methods for his meals. We had started a wet fancy feast in the beginning but it was a different flavor and type . After going through the changes we went back to fancy feast except this time it was for gravy lovers. As found out guy LOVED this taste and we couldn't keep his paws off of it. My only con is I wish it was a little more budget friendly or we could order directly with purina to cut the cost.

Yum Yum for my picky senior cat.

I only make one major grocery run per month from Walmart.I have a senior cat that is almost 12 years old, so I provide some type of wet cat food Twice a day.My little girl does like the fancy feast.That particular wet cat food item is only a 3 ounce can meaning that a 30 can supply will only last me approximately half a month and it is a little over $25 per carton.In order to make the fancy feast product more cost effective would be to offer a larger can size. Another cat food company I use offers a 5.5 can size. That translates to being able to buy a 24-25 item carton for about the same price as fancy feast. I am able to use one can per day and split it between morning and night feedings.
