Our cats like this ok. BUT, they tend to lick the gravy and leave the chunks. We've tries mashing the chunks with a spoon or fork and mix with the gravy, but the pieces are almost a rubbery texture and even after trying to mash it in a blender, there are still chunks and we could feel hard bits of gravel when we tried just using our fingers to mush the bits. He also lost a lot of his teeth as he aged so he could only really eat wet food. He never gained a lot of weight, he was always a healthy weight (maybe a bit chunky lol but not unhealthy). He loved his fancy feast more than anything. He was diagnosed at 17 with late stage kidney failure and my vet had given him a different wet food to eat but he hated it. He would only eat fancy feast, which was fine because cats who have kidney failure need a lot of water and just NEED to eat and eat he did, even until his last day he ate his fancy feast. I was gifted this Fancy Feast Grilled Tuna Feast in exchange for my honest review. I've been purchasing Fancy Feast products since I was a little girl growing up with my family, and now that I'm an adult on my own, I still love and trust Fancy Feast for my pets. Furthermore, moreso lately I've noticed a few pieces throughout each can seem to be massive. I mean oddly massive compared to the other pieces. Call me crazy, but cats are rather dainty right, so Fancy Feast, please pay more attention to your meat chunk sizes and be mindfully proportionate for our ever so spoiled rotten cats. Over the years, I can definitely see some changes, but still a loving and lifelong consumer!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to serve Fancy Feast’s “chicken feast in gravy” to my cats. I split the can between them, and they gobbled it right up. Definitely five stars from Atlas and Apollo!I liked it because the name sounds appetizing. I’m not one to serve my cat something that doesn’t sound appetizing. Chicken feast in gravy sounds like thanksgiving. Also, upon opening the can I found that it didn’t have any kind of unpleasant odor that some cat food has. It smelled and looked appealing. The cats obviously agreed.I also liked that the flavor was chicken. Chicken tends to be the easiest for cats to digest, so I love to give chicken when I can.One of my cats is a touch picky when it comes to food. But as they say, no cat will turn down fancy feast. I am feeding this product to my five year old, female, indoor only tabby. I have determined my furbaby enjoys gravied canned wet cat food more than more solid type consistencies. This Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken Feast in Gravy definitely hits the mark. There are small, tender cuts of grilled chicken that are great for her nutritional needs but they are bathed in an inviting gravy that she certainly enjoys. I likely the appearance and it looks like a high quality meal that gives an opportunity to bond with my pet at feeding time. She is on a diet of strictly wet food due to having a full mouth extraction (she had absolutely zero desire for dry food after that). She isn't a big eater so I liked the small cans. I was feeding it to her for a few months and noticed she was having hair balls constantly. She acted like she didn't feel well and was just grumpy. I really couldn't pin point what was causing this. She was eating 3 cans of this a day and realized how expensive it was and needed a cheaper option. I tried Meow Mix 2.75oz cups and 9 Lives 5.5oz cans, despite the bigger size. She acted completely different and no more hair balls. So, just be cautious and watch for changes in your kitty's behavior. ... I used to get them shreds but I noticed they were not drinking enough water while on that diet. This in return led to bowel issues and I was not wanting any UT issues so they were switched back to pate. This was still a nice treat. They both cleaned their bowls and seemed content with the amount served, but they did want roast chicken with us later at the dinner table. ;-) I I would recommend this product to cat owners looking for an easy open can and an easy meal option.
