This is perhaps the best all-around general purpose pocketable flashlight on the market right now. Utilizes 2 AA cells in a form factor that's hardly any bigger than most single AA lights. Because of that, it can run brighter and longer than you would think (though you should only use Ni-Mh or Single-Use Lithium cells for best performance).Interface is simple and reliable and it feels good in your hand. Build quality is a little thinner than some of their tactical products, but still very nice and though they don't say it on their website, the Fenix factory confirms it has a real glass lens. I have only 2 small gripes with this model - while it does tailstand on a flat surface it falls over a little too easy, and I wish they would have made the low mode (5 lumens) ... I hate to give this light a poor review but I'll be honest. This is my 3rd Fenix. I've owned a LD22 [a great, functional AA torch] and then bought a PD35 Gen 1 for my brother as a police duty light [again, a great tool]. The E20 V2.0 has been a disappointment.First is the fact that it has no mode memory. You are always starting in low and have work up to high. I must not have gotten the memo. I had assumed, even for an inexpensive light, that there would be a simple memory function. Nope.I could have let this issue slide if the runtime on high @ 350 lumens operated as advertised. Anywhere NEAR 3 HOURS would have made this new E20 worthwhile. Unfortunately, I am getting about 10 - 20 MINUTES before the light kicks down to medium @ 150 lumens. Granted, this was ... Granted, this was with Alkaline batteries. Maybe the performance would be better with Ni-Mh but I doubt it.The light has great fit and finish [typical] and a great pocket clip [typical] and good throw - but it is a tiny, under-performer and as such I can only relegate it to Every Day Glovebox status instead of Every Day Carry.

The E20 V2 is an awesome light that is super bright and powered by readily available AA batteries. I use rechargeable AA energizer batteries without any problems. You can change the brightness on the back with several “soft” clicks. These 4 different strengths allow for eco all the way to blinding 350 lumens of power. I have a video showing me cycling through the brightness settings via the soft clicks. The best part, with the pocket clip, the E20 V2 fits in my pocket easily right next to my EDC knife. I am sure some folks would want to put it into a belt sheath and found a sheath for maglite AA light works just fine with a little bit of force (picture in review). I sure overtime it would stretch to fit just fine. The E20 V2 has also a lanyard that can be used nicely ... It is a bit of a challenge to connect due to the small opening on the tail-cap, but with some patience able to thread up.The E20 V2 is super lightweight and will be loaded up in my hiking rig next time in backcountry. I would only need to use the low brightness settings which would give me plenty of life on a several night trip.

This is the best AA torch I have ever owned. Reasonably priced, very bright for home and work. I work residential and commercial maintenance, and this torch beats all our work-provided torches in brightness, battery life, and reliability. Would recommend over most all other brands.
This is a good light, especially for the price and the fact that it takes AA batteries. However, the let-down is that the first click is the lowest output setting. I'm sure some people may like that feature in terms of stealth but for me, I would prefer it start on the highest setting or somehow remember the last setting it was left on. I was looking for an economical light to keep by the bed for any need that may arise.
My favourite flashlight ever was the 4Sevens Quark Tactical series. This is a pretty close competitor, which means is my favourite on the market. It's small. Almost comically small. Almost small enough for me to count it as a negative. But it's bright. It's long running. It's durable. It's got a good UI on it. It's got a good colour tint to it. And while it's not the cheapest light, it's definitely well within the boundaries of affordable. It's become my go to light recommendation for under $50.For reference, I'm a plumber and routinely have to go into crawlspaces of houses and this thing has withstood the abuse and still functions like brand new.I fully plan on buying another two or three over the next year to stash around the house and backpacks.
A few days ago I bought a Fenix E20 V2.0 to replace my Olight i5T EOS. I must say that I am a bit disappointed. The pocket clip is cheaply made, very bad tension and it cannot be attached to the pocket all the way. The batteries rattle inside the flashlight and the light it emits is strange. It's not WW and it's not CW. It will serve as a flashlight for the car, but not as an EDC. I'm going back to the Olight i5T EOS, if these things change in the future I think I'll buy another one as a main light.
Super simple interface, lock out tail cap, full 180 degree spill, and a very expensive looking reflector. After buying myself a single AA version and a 2 AA version i loved it so much i bought a ton of these to give to friends, family, and the occasional stranger. Everyone I’ve given these to loves them. Many have commented on how expensive the reflector on these lights look. The only downside is most muggles mistake these as Duracell flashlights. This reflector design is by far my favorite out of all the brands i own and used. I hope these sell enough to warrant this reflector design to propagate across more fenix lights.
I bought an LD01 in 2011(?), that became unserviceable. Let it sit in the junk drawer because maybe I'll get around to replacing it.Fast forward to present time and on a whim, contacted Fenix Customer Service.Since the LD01 was out of production (duh), they offered a discount on any current model as a replacement. Chose the E20V2 and am totally impressed with it and the CS that Fenix provides. They've earned my future support for EDC needs.
This is my most used flashlight by far. It's easier to use than a phone flashlight by my bedside, and strong enough to scan my entire yard for skunks going to-and-from my car. The 2x AA's means I don't have to worry about charging up before a storm and have more juice and longer runtimes than 1x AA or 3x AAA. The size is perfect it disappears in your pocket bit is not too small like the 1x AA's. The grip is actually comfortable. Highly recommend this!
