I purchased this washing machine and have been using it for 8 months now as I saw other reviews on bing lee and other sites saying this was a good washer. Firstly it barely holds the advertised 8kg load, with the alert going off saying it is too heavy on a load about 4kg. Secondly clothes come out all clumped in a ball, when you pull the clothes apart there are large clumps of lint stuck to the clothes. I have already spoken to Bing Lee and they referred me to Fisher & Paykel, they sent out a technician and their response was “We are using the washing machine wrong.” I followed their method, there is still a big problem with it. Not happy with this product.I do not recommend this washing machine to anyone, save your money. We would have ordered the 10kg unit but this wasn't in stock. The 8kg washer copes with a family of five better than I thought would have been the case. Quiet, quick, washes well and clothes come out dryer than the front loader it replaced. Lint is an issue on some fabrics when in eco water saver mode. Sorting washing avoids this or putting the offending synthetic garment in the dryer on ambient air drying mode. Good washing machine and have have switched back to a top loader because of the better ergonomics.

I switched from a front to a top loader. Best choice I made especially with this one. Easy to use, quiet and a great wash. Delivery was made the next day after ordering.

I bought this particular version of the Fisher n Paykel “smart series” washing machines because of its high energy and water rating. I compared a few brands and found that this was one of the best in terms of its water and energy rating. Easy to use, quiet, good choice of wash cycles, great size and I’m pretty happy with the washing results. The only downside would be the “eco wash” cycles. Clothes don’t get rinsed enough because it uses so much less water. But that’s solved easily because you can just turn the feature off when washing. Overall a great buy!
LEMON DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE - Refund requested as unfit for the purpose (will not wash clothes properly) Appliances online gave me the run around then wanted me to pay $430 or service call + $80 freight to send back +20% restocking fee. Living below poverty line I could not afford so am hand washing while waiting till end of month for exchange for a samsung machine. My mum loves her new washing machine :D Mum wanted a top loader that was easy for her to use without bending over. I wanted a front loader that would be more gentle on her clothes. We found the perfect compromise in the Fisher Paykel low profile agitator machine. It operates like a front loader but is loaded from the top. It’s quiet. It’s a little like a tardis.....small on the outside but a generous 8kg capacity. The laundry liquid, softener and booster dispensers are embedded in the internal rim of the machine, such a smooth design feature. Mum LOVES her new washing machine :D
We have to return this washing machine it wasn't cleaning clothes. Fisher & Paykel we're great Bing lee not so great but they came to the party... In the end i thank Amy and her boss.Importantlywe want to thank Fisher and Paykel for credit noting Bing Lee and allowing us to return and get a different washing machine.ID like to advise Fisher and Paykel that your engineering is wrong there's not enough agitation and not enough water, the volume of water is very low clothes are pretty much barely wet definitely not enough to agitate the low agitator is not cleaning our clothes you will get a lot more complaints about this washing machine in future
I was an F&P Washing machine user for 21 years. All my previous 3 washing machines had the long agitator in the drum. So moving from that to a no agitator, I find it hard.Pros:1. Silent2. looks flashyCons:1. Too much automated, can not adjust according to my need2. Can not select the water level3. Can not change wash progress4. Wash rotation too slow5. There were no pictures of the inside and I presumed it would have a normal agitator.It does not have an agitator. It has what they call - a low profile agitator, which is actually a disc thing on the bottom. It is of little use to move the wash load around. A front loader would do a superior job.I found it did not clean the clothes as well as an agitator does. It left lint and detergent residue on the clothes, despite following all the instructions.You cannot select a water level or override the programmes' water level.I disliked it so much I had to buy a different F&P machine with an agitator, which I am more ... MoreMajor blunder on my behalf. This machine ( and many others now) has water hoses that are not long enough to go from the machine to taps inside a laundry cupboard. You need to purchase longer hoses as an extra. Also the water drainage hose needs a special part to connect to the pipes under the laundry sink. This then requires a plumber and a part they may need to order. None of this is mentioned under specifications. Some of it is in the online user manual which apparently we are supposed to read on each of the machine before we buy then to try and guess if it is appropriate as not all give the length of the hoses or the connection details .The way the hose was connected for my machine flooded the laundry 3 times before we called a F&P service and he told me the problems.also the gaps under ... MoreThis machine ( and many others now) has water hoses that are not long enough to go from the machine to taps inside a laundry cupboard.
