Between back order delay (we were on the email wait list for weeks) and having our garage floor coated, the time between shopping online and getting the machine assembled amounted to months. But was it ever worth the wait. Just moving the crates and unloading them was a workout, no to mention assembly. Though not terrible, it certainly isn't on par with the machine itself. Loaded up with a full set of bumpers, an FID bench, and extra gunner barbell, this thing is a positively magnificent sight to behold sitting in my garage.

Was surprised that tools came in the kit (fortunately I have an impact drill and a 17mm socket, so tightening the 100 bolts was a breeze).This was an experience very much akin to assembling a LEGO set. A lot of parts, but logical steps and very nice layout of the bits and pieces.Only (super minor) issue was that the bolts on the 'scissors' (over/under of the weight stack) cannot be inserted the direction on the drawing, so had to reverse these.I assembled it solo, which was just minorly challenging (did not tighten any bolts before after each step was fully assembled and that saved me as I did not notice that the front square tubes could not be reversed. I switched from a Body Solid Series 7 to the G-12 and its the best gym-related decision I've ever made. Here's why:- The 1:1 pulley ratio on the 200lbs weight stack is terrific for high and low rows and all other types of movements (high pulls, upright rows, peck flies, etc.).- The smith bar moves cleanly without issue.- The leg press is easy to set up and use - it literally takes less 30 seconds.- The dip and pull bars are perfect for days when I just do calisthenics/body weight circuit training.- The footprint is compact and allowed me to add additional equipment (a rower).Some minor concerns, such as the knurl on the smith bar could be better and he lateral pull down seat could be upgraded, but I only offer that in the interest of full disclosure. They typically responds to every question immediately, and never longer than 24 hours. They shipped the very next day and the product arrived a week earlier than expected. Also, pay the extra to have a professional assemble the item. It's a beast.Chris

Superb sales and customer service , kudos especially to Levi. G12 arrived on time despite the current shipping madness. Packed like nothing can ruin what's inside. Assembly took me 20 hours (slow and relaxed) with some help from son (his smaller hands were a plus). Written instructions were inadequate, youtube videos, and product pictures online helped plus a lot of common sense and patience. Materials of construction were tops, really look strong apart from the dodgy cushion of leg support attachment. Initially my plan is to relocate the G12 in 4 months when veranda is installed but after the experience, I think the G12 stays in the garage and will stay with the house if ever we sell the house...that's why you dont find G12 on FB Marketplace. IMPORTANT NOTE:I have NOT been able to find a FID bench that will work on the G12’s Smith Machine while inclined. Meaning I cannot perform incline bench presses on this Smith machine. I’ve tried several brands and styles of benches, and even Force USA does not offer a bench that works. The problem is that the benches will not fit far enough under the Smith bar to be able to perform incline presses. I wish I would have thought to check this while I was in Utah looking at the machines. I have old shoulder injuries that ail me these days, so using the Smith was/is a really important factor in me purchasing this machine. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that I cannot perform incline bench pressing movements on my brand new nearly $6K machine. For the friends who thought the 1:1 ratio might be a problem, I’m a lady and just started my training half year ago from the commercial gym, and I thought it can be hard to pull up at first but not that impossible, one tip is don’t forget to buy these two small weight increments at 1.5kg each. We are lucky that can have a try before we order this machine, my hubb tried the G6 which has a 2:1 ratio and he can pull almost the biggest weight there that’s also a reason to choose G12. the second reason is the accessories, G12 has the most ones you need for a home gym. For my point of view, this is an excellent trainer machine. I will give my recommendation if you are struggling with it.

Use the online delivery tracking tool provided and be home when it is delivered because the transport company is only obliged to get it to your property. The consignment is way too heavy for a busy driver to get it up any stairs, the best he/she can do is use a pallet mover to roll it into your garage.It's a day long job and I highly recommend hiring someone to assemble it. It was also reassuring when a customer service rep could walk to their showroom and measure equipment dimensions for you. Not all of my issues got sorted out but there is no problem contacting pre and post sales staff. According to my jottings I spoke with James, Ally, Levi, Damien, Matt, Jonathan, Aryo and others who were all enthusiastic and patient.Not all the supplied cable accesories are going to last a long time but you will find that for such a solid work station and the 1:1 loading you will indulge in buying other quality cable accessories such as metal D-stirrups, rotating curl bars, close-grip triangle row bars etc.Finally, if you buy a FID bench with a leg extension and leg curl attachment you will have a complete home gym.
