Forget the rest, this Franklin T13 is the best. Built for dummies to use and laser accurate. I had a Bosch GMS 120, which was loaded with features that just weren't accurate. Prior to that I had a Stanley which was just as bad as the Bosch, albeit 15 years ago.

Worked for a while, used 4-5 times, still in packaging. Now just out of warranty and dead, despite new batteries. Ozito, who import them dont want to know. Expensive paper weight. Will never recommend or purchase anything from Ozito or Franklin again.

Using this stud finder on plasterboard wall with timber studs. Works as advertised. Simply place against wall, press the on button, slide it along and all the studs will show up clearly. No more guessing. Cannot be any easier. Highly recommended.

This is the 2nd stud finder I tried. My first one is the Ozito stud detector with LED indicator. The problem with that was when sliding it along the surface, as long as my hand tilted a tiny bit, its alarm would be triggered off false-positively - it couldn't replicate its previous findings reliably at all.So that's exactly why this T13 would never end up in similar situation - thanks to its width when I move it along the wall, I could never tilt it. The leds turns on and off while it moves across studs and it can always replicate its preivous findings!Another useful tip: once a vertical stud is found, you can turn the device 90 degree so that it is in-line with the position of the stud underneath, then all leds would be on.
I’m no trade qualified expert…but I do read my manuals with various products purchased. That was impressed upon me when completing my nursing degree. So far, I have found the T13 Stud Finder quite good and simple to use. It’s handy to watch various YouTube clips as well on the T13 Stud Finder just to gain extra advice. I have only used the T13 Stud Finder on gyprock walls and have had no issues.
This actually works. I’ve had a few stud finders and never been able to get results with them. This is so easy to use and spot on every time. Worth every $
Excellent unit for wood stud locations. Works perfectly on both internal and external walls. Easy to use and understand. Works well through tiles also.
I thought I only needed this to find the studs for my tv stand but I’ve used it for so many things! To hang curtains, a wall desk, and even as a level. It is so handy and works very well. Sometimes it picks up wires but after a few goes, you work out how the lights turn on when there are definitely studs compared to some interference. All the lights turn on when there are wires or something interfering whereas only three or four lights turn on when you’re passing studs. As you move the stud finder, the lights move according to where the studs are. Incredibly accurate. Would highly recommend.
I'm really impressed with the Franklin stud finder. It works just like in the photos: the LEDs chase each other (signifying the presence of the stud) as you move the sensor across the wall. Each stud lights three LEDs at a time, making it easy to find not only the edge but also the centre, depending on whether you're planning on punching a hole or screwing into a support. The only tiny complaint I have - which didn't justify costing it a star - is that it won't work with Eneloop (rechargeable) batteries, so you'll need to put single-shot alkalines in it.
This stud finder would be the love of my life were i not already spoken for. 10/10 would buy again, exept theres bo need because its a decent product and i dont feel like i will ever jeed another one. Unlike the $20 stanley one i originally bought amd needed to replace because it was awful. So this is such a step up and i love it.
