This is the equivalent of a 15mm full frame lens, i.e. very wide angle. Optically perfect, exceptionally well engineered, performs flawlessly. I need this short zoom range for internal and external architectural work, there is nothing worse than a partially missing feature. f4 is not very fast but the counterbalance is a smaller, lighter, more affordable lens and with OIS longer exposures are possible.

I purchased the XF 10-24mm f/4 OIS WR lens as a replacement of my non-weather sealed version which I absolutely loved. Terrific lenses (both of them). The lens performed as expected while away on a trip and has also produced some excellent interior shots of a property I am selling so can recommend this lens for both travel and interior photography. Dealing with Camera Electronic has always been a pleasure.

Purchased because the most important thing to me, other than image quality, is weather sealing.Used twice now, on a X-T2 and one of those was in the rain, great knowing that there this some protection.The image quality is the same as the first edition, which is excellent, maybe a touch soft at the edge at 24mm.Pluses - its nice to see the set aperture on the lens, and not having to use the viewfinder, weather sealing and a little lighter.Minuses - nothing yet, and i don't expect they to be.One thing i would add as i have now owned both versions, if you don't need weather sealing, buy the original, as they are essentially the same lens.Great service as usual from Wex.
So far I have been impressed with this lens. I would go as far as to say it is a great first lens for many types of photographers. It would force you to get closer to subjects than in you had a telephoto lens, encouraging you to experiment more with perspective. It is my second fuji lens. 16-80mm was my first. I like the addition of the 10-15mm focal length in this lens although there are times when I miss being able to so quickly go from wide to telephoto as with the 16-80mm. Time will tell, but I feel the 10-24mm is clearer in the edges and seems to focus better. I compare these 2 lenses because they are both f4 1:4 lenses. I love the size and internal zoom of the 10-24mm.

By no means am I a pro, and this trip was simply for pleasure. We visited the small country town of Talamantes west of Zaragoza. It’s not on the top 100 places to visit in Spain, but it has a history as far back as 1117. It is surrounded by lots of hills, mountains, valleys, terraced vineyards, acres of olive and almond trees, a medieval castle atop a high hill, and plenty of old timey architecture that reminded me of WW2 movie sets. This little town’s tight narrow steep streets would not have allowed opening the doors on my pickup truck, let alone even make a turn at any corner. Front doors of all those houses ... I figured that the 18-55 would not have been wide enough to fit the street and as much of the building walls into my compositions. The Fuji 10-24 was a very good lens choice for photographing more than just partial walls and the street itself. Mostly handheld, the 10-24 performed very well at both ends of the focal scale and at F4. It focused fast enough, and its aperture ring is smooth with good audible and feely clicks. Along with the X-E3 and 18-55, its compact size fit easily into my PacSafe hip/fanny pack. No back pack needed. I am glad that I chose this cool lens.
This is a landscape lens primarily offering some interesting perspectives for other types of work. It gives at 10mm (15mm full frame) about as wide a view as you will generally need. 24mm is a good standard wide angle. It's sharp but noticeably that sharpness falls off at the edges at 10-14mm particularly at full aperture. It's constant f4 across zoom is helpful and I like the internal zoom mechanism which keeps the lens at a constant length. It's a bit heavy compared to the 18 - 55 but the X camera is quite light so it's only a few grams extra. A great lens for landscape. If you want a more versatile I'd go first for the 16 - 80mm it's a more general use lens.
I must admit to being somewhat disappointed after my recentevaluation of my new 10-24mm Fujinon lens. I'm not a techie with a lab, but this last weekend I made 111 shots on a tripod outdoors (no wind) using the self-timer to ensure no vibration from pressing the shutter on my Fuji X-T4. I mulled over returning the lens but after reading many online reviews it seems what I've found is characteristic of the lens. My 111 shots were made at a variety of focal lengths, from 10-24, with many in between. I'm not talking about edge softness. My eye focused primarily towards the center portions of the images, which contained a variety of buildings, signs, stone inscriptions on building fronts, and sometimes flowersin the foreground. It is well built, metal, three rings. I'm sure that at some point that the plastic lens hood snaps will break and I'll have to find a metal one but it works for now. The lens still renders attractively. To me you cannot separate OIS from the optics and overall this makes the lens even better when challenged in low light and free of focus/OIS issues in daylight that could infrequently materialize. It means for example you can use a slower shutter while keeping your ISO lower or allowing you to use a smaller aperture to keep things sharp. You can tell I was not entirely happy with ... I am knocking a star off as a) it will occasionally (rarely) miss focus; b) the sharpness falloff was a missed opportunity especially shooting higher ISO which exacerbates the issue and c) it is not on the 40 MPixel recommended lens list to my knowledge despite it being a very recent reissue (has anyone compared the lens on both a 26 and 40 Mpixel camera?). Do I recommend this lens - yes - I am being critical - I use it a lot. Bought from WEX store.
