The video quality I have been getting out of the various modes has been astonishing and even rivals my full frame bodies.There are so many things to say great about this camera but for sake of time I will sum it all up with the fact that since purchasing the X-H2, I have fallen back in love with photography and have been enjoying every moment this camera is in my hands.

Meanwhile I moved partially to Nikon fullframe. I spent a lot of time convincing myself that the Nikon camera and lenses are nice to use...And then the X-T5 appeared! I preordered rigth away. Now, after a 10-day foreign land trip my love for Fuji X-T cameras is again in full blossom. The sensor and processor are wonderful that permeate the images with brilliant colors and tones. Saturation is otherwordly. Autofocus, one of the weaknesses of my X-T2, but not terrible at all as some tended to suggest, tremendously improved. Ergonomics even better that on the older cameras and the grip, despite being smallish, is ... I preordered the X-T5 from B&H the moment it became available, and I received it within a week of its release. It replaced my X-T30, a good camera. But the X-T5 is the next level, or two, or three above.... It's exactly what I want in a (primarily) stills camera. I have tested the camera with my 35 f1.4, 16 f2.8, and Viltrox 56 1.4. There's a definite increase in sharpness and resolution with the new 40mp sensor over the X-T30. Also, so many jpegs are excellent right out of the camera, a surprise over the X-T30. The AF-S autofocus is fast and spot on. I haven't tested it in every AF-C scenario (testing is ongoing), but so far it performs fine. Overall, the X-T5 is a definite upgrade. I'm not much into video, so I'll leave that to others, but from what I have seen on ... I recently purchased this lens mainly for its extra zoom range over my Fuji 18-55mm f/2.8-4. I am glad I did as it is a performance upgrade to the 18-55mm in virtually every way. The extra 2mm on the wide end and the extra 15mm on the long end makes it easier for me to go with just one lens more often.Optically, center frame sharpness is mostly better than the 18-55mm. Toward the frame edges, sharpness is generally comparable and often a bit better. The weakest focal length of this lens seems to be at 80mm. However, at least in my copy, I have found overall sharpness there to be more than acceptable. The OIS and focus speed of this lens is also very good.This lens is a somewhat larger than the 18-55mm but still feels very good and well balanced on my X-T3. The ... Its design provided a more tactile, slower, old-school shooting experience; the 'recipes' less need for post processing, all of which I love. But the focus system left me unimpressed and wanting more. When X-T5 was announced, I preordered it with excitement and with some trepidation due to the new higher density sensor potentially diminishing the superb performance of the sensors in the older bodies. I was very happy to see that there is no regression, and in fact, I think the noise profile has improved in a way. If you like the whole Fujifilm subculture, or want to go back to fundamentals and nostaliga of photography as art, it is the camera to get. Highly recommended.
I set out to bag an X-T4 but it was outside my price range. The X-T3 is a truly exceptional alternative but lacks the in body image stabilization of the X-T4. That aside the X-T3 is beautifully made camera that looks as good as it shoots. If you love bomb proof construction, more manual controls than enough, a great range of amazing lenses all wrapped up in a body compact enough to take with you where ever you go then this might just be it. Constructed from 4 Magnesium Alloy sections and fully weather sealed it's likely to be a long and faithful companion. Also, I come from an era when stabilisation didn't exist and you took a tripod everywhere, and with the newer carbon fiber tripods and monopods even this is less of a chore. I thought I'd dislike the X-Trans sensor but even this is much improved in its fourth incarnation so all in all I'm very happy with my purchase. Despite some very strong video chops it's not best suited for vlogging as the rear screen tilts up, down and to one side but never faces forward.The 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder is also excellent even with my glasses on and now the dioptric adjustment locks so one less thing to need "correcting" on a shoot. All in all a very nice camera that really feels like proper kit and not a toy.
This is my go-to lens for studio and is the perfect travel lens alsol. I love the 24-120 focal range for studio work. I own the full frame equivalence of this lens for my Nikon Z bodies as well as for my Sony a7r series bodies. I can achieve almost any look I need without having to constantly change lenses during a session. I was a little skeptical of this lens initially because I had not really heard many people talk about it as it was considered a kit lens. The autofocus is fairly quiet and does not pickup in video as long as you use something like a shotgun mic or smaller.It?s compact and lightweight design makes it a perfect match for any fujifilm camera as it balances well on most bodies. Furthermore, it?s lightweight also makes it great for holding long periods of time without fatiguing your shooting arm, making it an excellent choice for travel and street photography.This is an excellent lens with many uses and if you are on the fence about getting it, go ahead, I promise you will not be disappointed.
I have been using an XT-2 for landscape and nature photography since fall of 2019. While the upgrades in the XT-3 and XT-4 were numerous, the focus on hybrid shooting and video meant I had no real reason to upgrade.The XT-5 is the upgrade I've been waiting for, with its return to a photography-first focus. The 3 way articulating screen returning is a huge selling point, along with the beautiful 40 MP sensor and the addition of IBIS (since the XT-2). After a few weeks of shooting with it, I can already notice a huge difference in image quality, especially when shooting handheld in low-light scenarios. I purchased the x-t5 mostly for three improvements.First and most important was the improved autofocus with the face/eye and subject detect autofocus.Second was the IBIS.Third and least important was the increase in resolution.I mostly shoot still using single point and either manual or single autofocus.Shooting in this manner I would rate the x-t5 a clear 5.However, I spent some time shooting video of a hunter jumper rider and experimented with the different autofocus modes. In all cases I used continuous autofocus.I tried face/eye detecting, animal detecting, and none of those. There was really no difference in the quality of the results. This doesn't surprise me as while filming with either face/eye detect or animal detect I could see the camera losing lock on the subject as the box would latch on to a jump standard in the foreground, or a distant tree in the background. I could see this in the results by looking closely. In the end I decided I preferred the experience not using any of the fancy subject detection autofocus, but just the unspecialized autofocus. I found this experience preferable mostly because it doesn't have the focus boxes jumping around the screen distracting me from the subject I was following. For me, the autofocus improvements were of no use. That and the reviews of the Sony cameras have convinced me that if I were really going to be shooting much video I would switch to Sony. However, with the smaller size, great lens lineup, and lower weight and prices, I will be sticking with Fuji and hoping they catch up on autofocus technology.
