Furminator Short Hair Deshedding Tool for Dogs - Small

Life saver for both my allergies and all of the furniture in my house. I have had this product for 7-8 years and have used it on both my dogs and cats. While this product is not technically for cats I have used it on my long haired cats. This tool is amazing for my long haired dogs and both cats. It’s easy to use and comfortable to use for extended periods of time. It doesn’t hurt my animals while I’m brushing them which is very important to me. I am also allergic to cats and as much as I love my cats the allergy medicine was not enough but this tool has significantly helped with my allergies. For reference: I have a 20lb Pom mix with a thick undercoat and flat laying fur. I use the large dog, long hair brush and it was the perfect size. Groomers have used this on my dog and it worked so well! I’ve seen YouTube videos and friends using it on their dogs and it worked great! It does not work for me. No matter how many tutorials I watch or how many times I’ve tried different angles and positions and had people show me. Literally everything. But I just cannot get it to work for me. Massive user error here I’m sure but while I wholeheartedly recommend a professional wielding this thing, I cannot recommend buying it for home use (at least until you know you aren’t going to struggle like me :(

I have an Australian Shepherd mix girl who is about 10 years old. Every year, we go through the same ordeal of her winter coat shedding off in little tufts like feathers that attach to every flat surface and wearable material in my house without fail. I find dog hair on and in everything. This is the first brush that makes her not look like pigpen with a cloud of hair trailing behind her everywhere she goes. Total lifesaver.

The FURminator is -an excellent tool to use on your dogs to remove excess hair,and keep it off. I generally would brush my dog at least 4 days out the week to ensure the product works and it does a great job to minimize the hair in returning. Our dog was going through anxiety, because, she loss her sister of 14 years old and passed away recently. Her anxiety was high, but using the FURminarator it minimize her anxiety. Plus I decided to take her to a new park where a portion is fenced for dogs and this helped with her recovery, but I am still taking her to the park, so she can continue to recover. I bought this for my two pit mixes after having tried a few other brushes for them. This was by far the best pet hair care tool that I’ve ever tried! It gets all the way down to their undercoat and gets all the loose hairs out so they shed less in the house! I use this before and after I give them a bath and once a week after! It has really cut down on how much hair they loose in the house. I vacuum every other day and the vacuum bag fills up way slower than it used to and I’ve noticed I don’t have to vacuum as often! The pups love it also! It’s like a little massage for them! Definitely recommend this for anyone with pets! They make one for short, and long hair, small, medium, and large, dogs and cats!!

I currently own two dogs one a female Blue Nose Pitbull and the other is a female Shorkie. I've been using the Furminator deshedding tool mostly on my Shorkie as she has long hair that tends to shed any and everywhere. I really love this tool because it does a wonderful job of collecting loose hair while keeping her fur neat and looking healthy. I'd highly recommend this product to those who have tried other similar products that have failed or haven't done a great job of carefully and painlessly removing long hair from your fur babies. #

Holy Moly. No Danes were harmed to take this photo. My Dane sheds more than any short haired dog I’ve ever seen in my life. I purchased the large 50lb + version of the comb, which at about $40 is not cheap. The thing seriously gets out some hair. No joke about that! This was on my first day of brushing him, and I have brushed him almost daily trying to get more out. STILL getting out a ton of hair. Hoping this will help with some of the massive amount of hair we accumulate on the floor. He definitely loves how it feels which makes it easier on me. Great tool, just seems expensive for what it is, and there really should be another size bigger (like an XL) for bigger dogs

The FuRminator is the best thing I’ve ever used! If you have a dog or cat that sheds, you need this!! It’s amazing at helping to minimize shedding for my short hair chihuahua. She usually sheds all year round but there is about twice a year (winter or summer) when the shedding is very intense and there would be hair-bunnies everywhere in my house. This tool helped significantly minimize that and also helps to smooth her fur out and leave it soft as well. She enjoys the brushing and I enjoy not having dog hair all over my clothes and furniture so it’s a win-win. Highly recommend this! Love it!

Fantastic product. I was sick of the dog hair on my wood floors. I have used dog brushes in the past and they aren't as good as the FURminator. I also use the product on my horses. Especially when their winter and summer coats are coming out, just a few brushes while the coat is working it's way out and the coats are left in great condition. No pulling the under coat out. It says what it does on the tin :)

My family got this for our two yellow English labs, one is 11 (90lbs) and the other is 8 months (45 lbs). If you don't know labs shed not only constantly but a TON so we had high expectations. After numerous uses, I have to say this thing works!! We have other undercoat rakes and stuff and even after using those this thing still gets even more hair off! It does take some time as it works best with short strokes, so it would probably be quicker / more efficient on a smaller dog. But even with our big boy if you take the time it gets the job done! Note: as I said Labs shed constantly so while this works great and helps get rid of a ton of hair. It will not completely get rid of or stop shedding.
