Furminator Short Hair Deshedding Tool for Cats - Small

Love my furminator. I have one that’s 13-14 years old and added this one to my collection for use when my cats and I are not at home. This one works well though does not grab and hold the fur as well as the original one. The fur comes out nicely but does not stay with the furminator to ise the release button. Not sure why this happens. Gets the job done though grooming cam get messy if your cat stand still long enough for you to grab the hair before they walk off

This tool is AMAZING! It blew my mind how much fur came off of both cats. One our cats has very short hair and not much would come off with our other brush. This one takes off a bunch off of him and also made me realize that he has dandruff under his fur. 100% best brush and totally worth the price! You will need to use your hand to remove the fur off of their bodies after brushing but that’s with many brushes. LOVE IT! They love it too!

Color me "surprised"

I had high hopes for the FURminator, but was very unsure about how my cat, Bella, would respond to it. I've tried to use a pet comb in the past, and she was unhappy about it and would leave the room when I reached for it. The FURminator works beautifully and Bella starts purring immediately when I start using it on her. For me, the tool is comfortable in my hand and just the right weight to reach her undercoat without irritation to her skin. We're both very happy about it!

I bought this today after reading reviews on the product website and also watching Youtube videos.Our oldest cat has had shedding issues for ages but as a rescue cat she doesnt like to be handled or touched too much. On top of this she currently has been at the vets 2 days in a row for antibiotics due to ongoing gum issues.I only used it on her back to tail area and surprisingly she let me do it and even purred a bit. I did 10 minutes of gentle brushing and ended up with a compacted fistful of fur. I was surprised even after seeing videos of similar. Her coat looks lovely now - very shiny and I will try and do some more over the next few days and then regular upkeep going forward. I think it has paid for itself in the first use and apparently they last for a very long time, so its an investment of sorts. Its not suitable for all cat breeds according to what Ive read so definitely check that out but Id highly recommend it.

Excellent for My long haired cat

First learned of this tool at the Shelter I Volunteer at. Used it on a couple different cats, short & long haired. Works Amazingly to remove undercoat on Both lengths! It can really change the appearance of the coat from dull to bright! I purchased this for the Senior Kitty I recently adopted. He is long haired. His coat gets brushed daily with a regular brush & weekly I used the FURminator. His coat is super soft now. Still has a good amt. of undercoat, but I'm just taking my time to get him used to it. It is VERY IMPORTANT to USE WEEKLY, NOT FOR DAILY USE. Technique matters as well! Make sure you READ the INSTRUCTIONS! Love that it has a guard to protect the teeth. Awesome tool & well made! Worth the investment!

Great at removing loose hair from deep within a short-haired coat

I have a senior short-haired cat who's had some GI issues resulting in some nasty stomach-filling hairballs, even though I was brushing him daily. I decided to get this deshedding tool to do a more thorough job of helping him remove his hair so it wouldn't end up in his gut.The sheer amount of hair that I got out in one brushing session amazed me. Also, he loved being brushed by this and was happy to lie on each side for the whole session. This was the perfect tool for my cat and his needs.

The only brush my cat LOVES!

My short haired cat has never liked any of the brushes we tried & typically if she did tolerate one, it would take many attempts to even get a couple brushes in. But this Furminator brush was INSTANT love. She immediately let me brush her with it, and she laid down and just completely relaxed and let me brush her for as long as I wanted to. She is so blissfully happy being brushed with this brush. We love this brush! Absolutely recommend this! It’s very gentle & effective!! My mother uses this same kind of brush but the version of it for long haired cats and she said her cats love this brush too.

They LOVE it!

We have 4 cats and the brushing battle always left me bloodied and defeated. One cat, in particular, became possessed by the devil himself when she would even see me holding a “brush”. As a last ditch effort, after reading other positive reviews, I decided to try this. What a game changer! It’s been about 2 weeks now and each cat WANTS their daily grooming! This, along with the dematting tool, has ended all bloodshed. It has been well worth every single penny. Expensive but not a single regret.

Worth the purchase

I was skeptical spending this much on a comb/brush for the two devils, but I must say I'm pleasantly surprised. Sadie especially would itch and scratch, and I thought she had dry skin. But I found she had a massive undercoat that was stuck and causing her problems! This thing got out so much hair ... And still getting more each week! It has helped the princess feel smooth and itch less, and her counterpart .. well he's just the court jester, along for the ride.
