I bought a Casio Rangeman a few years back for almost 3 times the price of this model. Similar features, GPS, Barometer, Altimeter but with added bonus of heart rate monitor, ok, it doesn't 'track' your route or can navigate you but for most people who don't need those features, this is by far a much better option. I love this orange colour way too, fun and not too 'standard'. The LCD screen is very readable in bright days, and as with all Casio products, beautifully constructed and hey, it's a G-Shock!

I’ve been wearing an Apple Watch for many years but prefer a larger diameter face. This watch is perfect. Big deal you can’t reply to your text messages but it lets you know you have a text message and all you need to do is look at your phone and reply. You don’t need to charge it because the light alone and the sun will handle that. It has many of the features the Apple Watch has. I’m so glad I purchased this watch. I highly recommend it.

Husband loves this watch! The only thing we wish was different - not having the ability to change settings for different countries. Once it’s set up, you can’t change when going to another country. We were in the States when I gave him this, but we were moving to another country. So he had to wait 5 weeks to set it up in our new country. But, now when we go back to the States, he’s stuck with the other settings.

Heart rate monitor is critical to me - reason I bought this watch; the HR appears to vary (higher than actual) too much; I compared to an oxymeter and blood pressure cuff; battery depletes every 4-days with heart rate monitor operating;
The "Smartwatch" i've been waiting for. G-shock TOUGH! don't have to baby it like that other smart watch. Also, solar powered watch functions. No need to charge every night! (GPS and Heart rate monitor need to be charged by USB maybe every few days to a week, depending on usage) - Lots of features, too many to list. Gets message alerts from your phone. constant heart rate monitoring. and GPS EXACT time! Now my everyday watch.
I wanted to enjoy this watch but the Casio software was so bad I decided to return it. The watch itself is beautiful and is built like a tank. . . but trying to use any of the functions is very over complicated. There is a youtube channel called @WatchJumble that has great videos if you want to see the features of the watch.
Wow I got this watch for my son since he wanted one which I had (Protrek 2500). For his birthday I went back to REI and tried to get one like the one I had and it was no longer being made so I got the newer one which was this model. Now I need to get this one, It has most of the same options as my Protrek 2500 and so much more. Looks sharp he loves it and it's a great fit, best of all they anaged to maintain the solar charging option which is what i like the most. Definitely recommend this one.
Bought this for hiking and backpacking. Even though the button says “Run” on the side I feel like this does pretty well at tracking hiking and walking.Initially there were issues with my pulse dropping when I started to climb as well as accuracy issues with distance and elevation which basically made the watch useless. Today the watch had an update and after returning from the hike that caused the last problems I can say it is fixed. Compares very closely to my gps enabled Apple Watch. Difference is the exceptional battery life in this Casio. It’s great!! I can wear it for very long periods of time without charging.
Watch shipped slightly used. A little dirty and set on HR screen (battery DOA), Missing watch bag, information tag and watch box was ripped and crushed. I charged and cleaned the watch, had it over a month now and havent had an issie or had to charge it since! The G squad watch is awesome. If i didnt like the watch so much i would've sent it back and ordered one through a jewelry store like i wanted to. All in all? bestbuy did good here. They obviously used a returned watch and shipped it to me as new in box but, the watch was only dirty and had finger prints. Otherwise its flawless and does as advertised. We're good to go Bestbuy
