Excellent memory kit for AMD Ryzen systems. I've used several different memory brands before and these G.Skill Flare X are the best by far for high performance than any other. After turning on the XMP profile for the rated memory speed, these memory sticks performed at their top efficiency. I would recommend highly any system builder use G.Skill Flare X for a AMD system build!

Initially - from Newegg, I ordered 2 sticks of OLoY Warhawk memory. After 1 stick failed within 2 days, I returned them and purchased an 8MB pair of G.Skill Flare X. The BIOS detects the memory as Samsung, but I doubt that it is B-Die. Selecting XMP runs the memory - flawlessly - at 3200MHz, but the fastest timings I can achieve are 15-17-17-31 (with no voltage increase). All in all, Flare X runs at spec and is good, compatible memory for the AMD Ryzen.

Purchased this memory to use on an ASRock B450M Steel Legend with a Ryzen 2600 processor. Had been using Corsair DDR4 3000 Mhz memory that would only boot stable on 2666 Mhz. Installed this G.Skill memory kit. Booted up instantly into 2133 Mhz. Went into bios and loaded the XMP memory profile at 3200 Mhz and booted without a problem at this speed. Ran Memtest86 for 2 hours zero errors. All is great and very satisfied with this purchase.
Works great with AMD builds - no memory tuning experience required to get it stable After install just needed to enable XMP in BIOS and reboot. Came up perfectly and has been 100% stable in a Asus Crosshair VII hero motherboard with 2700x. According to Thaiphoon Burner this is running Samsung B die. Have been able to set and boot at 3600mhz first time, though dropped it back to 3200C16 as I didn't want to fiddle with manual tuning. If you want RAM that "just works" with AMD, I'd recommend this Flare X kit.
After 15 flawless minutes, Windows 10 crashed and wouldn't boot after that. Couldn't even boot Linux off a USB stick. RMA'd the motherboard, no change. RMA'd the RAM, no change. Flashed the latest BIOS (2.90), no change. Reset CMOS thoroughly, no change. Found that Linux would boot with acpi=off. Played with a bunch of BIOS settings that seemed related to ACPI, no change. I was just about to order replacements, 6 weeks after the initial order, when I just let it try booting Windows for a while, and suddenly it worked. Now the system works great. Who knows why. So everybody takes one egg off on this one.
Running two sticks on a MSI B450 Tomahawk, Ryzen 5 2600X, and Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8 gb. Both sticks (2 x 8gb) worked no problem. My First G Skills purchase. and I'm pleased. It seems this particular ram is not as well known based on my online research prior to building my rig - It deserves to be better known. Good bang for the buck.
Not worth the effort to try to replace. I shipped out for a replacement and it has been a few weeks with no news on if they received it. I needed 16GB of ram for some work that I am doing waiting this long for a replacement is not worth it. I just bought some new ram so I can work.
I am extremely pleased with these and would definitely purchase them again for future AMD Ryzen builds. I just wish AMD had done a better job with wiring the ram slots on AM4 motherboards. Instead of using the 2nd and 4th slots for a 2 stick setup which can cause some clearance issues for tower coolers, they should have used 1st and 3rd slots.
My system is showing this as Micron B-die, not Samsung B-die. This results in minimal or no overclocking ability past the default 3200 16-18-18-38 XMP profile, though undervolting is quite possible. (I'm running mine at 1.3v) ***UPDATE 7/2/2019*** Using an Asrock B450m Steel Legend motherboard and Ryzen 5 2400g CPU, was able to overclock this to 3266MHz. It is completely unstable at any higher speed, or at any faster timings when at default XMP speeds. Doesn't realistically matter though, as this is already putting it in the top 10 sets of RAM available. (not just for AMD either) If you're running an AMD motherboard, this is the best bang for your buck!
