I put ''easily'' like that because it's never easy but can be made easier.Ease of use:I had no issued with it, if you read the guide book, which I don't, then you will be find with it, and I was fine with it, only a couple of things I needed to read up on the guide book and that was it.Features:It does come with a couple of good things, like it warns you if you are too close to a vehicle, which I find to be annoying, yet effective, but it does say something is too close when clearly it was actually almost 4/5 seconds away from me but hey ho, what can you do, it still makes me back up. Also the 'Auto-Save' feature is great, if you have an accident, the video would be saved instantly, I am yet to have an accident, so couldn't tell you how well it worked, but from taking it off the windscreen with slight force, it does save when the G-Force is too much.Overall:Yes a good product, make sure your vehicle is always locked when it is left in there and you will be fine. I recommend this. I have linked a video for you to see one scenario that I had at 4am.

This is a decent, if not a bit old model of dash cam. I've had mine for a little over a year. The good: Since it's a bit older, it can be had for a decent price compared to more current models. The resolution (1080p) is good for recording your driving (personally, anything more is overkill unless your making a movie). It is also very nice that it records speed, time and location. All very important if an accident occurs. You can use it as a still image camera if you need to take pictures of damage from an accident. The bad: The mount provided is a permanent mount. I use a GPS mount for portability, but this obscures the view a little bit. The 4 GB sim that comes with it, is a little small. I purchased a 64 GB sim separately which will record about 24 hours. The on device interface isn't the best. I recorded an accident that occurred in front of me and tried to pull up the video for he police. But the files (it creates a series of 1 minute video files) are listed one at a time and the only way to navigate them is to hit the "up/down" button. You have to hit it once each time to move from one file to the other. It won't scroll if held. It does not pull up the last file first so I had to wait until I could access the files with a computer. Finally, the forward collision warning can get really annoying. For me, it almost seems to go off randomly, even if I have someone passing me in another lane on the interstate. I haven't found a way to disable it.

This is my first GPS enabled dash cam and I'm very happy with it. It comes with the standard features of any GPS enabled dash cam plus "Safety Cameras" (Red Light/Speed Cams) alerts & "Forward Collision Warning" options where it calculates the distances between your vehicle and the one in front and give an audio/visual alert when you're getting too close. Although a 4GB microSD is included, you can install up to 64GB (most dash cams are limited at 32GB). It does come with a mount that permanently mounts to your windshield. Once you've located the optimum spot (usually by the rear view mirror) you should have no need to relocate it. But if you do, the mount "pops" straight out from the dash cam and a replacement adhesive for the mount is included. It does not have ... If this is a necessity, there are other dash cams in the market with rotating or dual camera lens. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because this model does not have a mic to record audio and I had to purchase an optional power cord because the included power cord (5'7") is just 7" short of me being able to run the cord into the headliner, down the support and under the center of the dash to a custom installed power outlet.
An absolutely amazing product that I bought. I’ve owned this for at least 3 years now and there is nothing that I can say is bad about this camera. The low-light recording is pretty good and the internal storage is dependent on the size of the SD card that you put into it, and it automatically overwrites the oldest clips on the drive so you never have to take it out to delete all of the files/clips that are recorded. It also automatically saves, iirc, the last 2-3 minutes of footage whenever it detects a hard bump/G load so you don’t have to worry about saving that footage if in the event you need it. It also automatically connects to the Garmin GPS network that it may display your coordinate data as well as your speed so important information like this can be ... I decided to write this review today as I gave a friend of mine a ride to go get some food at Whataburger and he noticed my dash cam and started asking me about it. I started telling him how much I liked it and some of it’s features compared to some more modern dash cams that are currently on the market. I then decided to write my review of this product. If you can find a way to buy/acquire this dashcam, you will not regret your purchase.
The settings are easy to change using the buttons on the camera as well as with the app using my iMac. The initial warning screens at power up are displayed for at least 15 seconds during which time the camera will not record any video. The crosshairs for aiming are unobtrusive and very helpful for properly aiming the camera. The 1080HD videos contain satellite coordinates, date, time and speed at the bottom which are clearly visible when viewed on a computer but are not so legible on the 3" display. While it is true that there is no sound recording on the videos there is no claim on the packaging that makes the assertion that it records sound. The proximity warning screen and associated tone are a good reminder that one is following too closely and video is still being recorded during the warning display. I have not had an event involving the G force sensor. The only feature about the system that I do not like, and it is a minor one to me, is the mounting bracket. I do not like that it is mounted to the windshield with an adhesive but I expect it to stay reliably in place and not detach the way suction cups do. The unit come with a 4GB microSDHC card and is easily upgradable to a maximum of 64GB which will record 80 minutes of 1080HD video. The video continuously records while the vehicle is in motion and will record over the oldest video when the memory card is full. The most recent video is always available. Think of it as FIFO-first in, first out. I am very pleased with the simplicity of set up, operation and quality of the videos. I gave the unit 4 stars for the adhesive mounting bracket only. I highly recommend this unit.
I bought this dash cam for my wife because we got tired of switching mine from vehicle to vehicle. The camera is very easy to set up and use. Once you get the settings where you want them, you can just forget about it. I've hardwired both mine and my wife's to a switched circuit with an Add-a-circuit Fuse TAP Adapter and a power cable bought separately. I didn't like the 12v power cable that plugs into the vehicle 12v power outlet. The camera records excellent video, you can have the GPS location and vehicle speed overlaid on the video if you want. It doesn't record audio, but do you really want it to if you ever have to use a video in court, plus audio takes up a lot of space on the memory card. Hence my 5 star rating in spite of the fact that I dont like the mount. You have to be 100% certain of you choice of placement. All said, I would buy this camera again because it's a Garmin. I've always had good luck with Garmin products.
This Garmin dashcam just did not work for me, forcing me to always enter date and time everytime the recorder is started it's onboard battery just does not keep the settings. And if you want to start recording it is not automatic, you must reach up and look at the very small screen and make a choice, this just gave me fits, if you don't see the little red light on the dashcam it's not recording, you drive off and you get nothing.Sometimes it just starts when you just touch a button on it's side, like when installing it on windshield or the computer, you get a recording of your feet or the wall maybe your hand. I have found the Garmin Dash Cam 35 to be well worth it's relatively low price. The videos are very clear and the wide angle provides a great record for the driver. It does not have audio, but I don't miss that as the primary function is the video. In fact other dash cams I have had with audio I did not like having audio since it recorded private conversations from within the vehicle. The suction cup attachments have worked really well. I did clean the window with an alcohol pad and dried it before attaching the suction cups. Note it is always best to put a little drop of water on the suction cups and this makes the cups attach better based on my experience. The device has a large screen which is a plus. Also this device has a forward collision avoidance alarm - this will come on if you are approaching a vehicle too quickly - it has 3 sensitivity settings. The unit has handled being in the sun without any problem. It is nice to have a unit that will record the time and GPS coordinates. Also it does protect any recordings that are made when it senses an accident has occurred. You can also vary the sensitivity so that just going over bumps in your car will not trigger this feature. Great product.
