A fine pressure cleaner.
Bought this one when my 10 year old $650 no name predecessor was deemed irrepairable. This machine is far better. When I stop, so does the machine and no leaks! This is very convenient for changing lances etc. Of course, for any longer time, one should power off.The patio cleaner is the real winner. I used it on smooth and rough concrete. Too easy. It also worked well on a large area of pavers. The beauty on the pavers is that it doesn't blast out the sand from between the pavers. That is a big problem if using the lance.I didn't install the reel. Small reel for a pressure hose seems a bizarre option. I just loop it loosely. The hose is a good length as is the electrical cord.... Show more

Good Pressure washer.
Good pressure washer easy to use. Would have been good if the instructions showed you how to use the hose reel. You will have to youtube and find out for yourself. 8 Meters of hose still a little short for car washing without going back and forth. But there a 7 meter extension hose available for purchase. Overall easy to assemble, patio cleaner works great cleaning concrete.... Show more

Good Product, But problems out of the box
Got my new Gerni 5000 yesterday, was excited to use it and tackle a few cleaning tasks around the home, until I went to connect the lance to the hose only to find that the protective gromet was preventing the connection (See pics). If you are not a handy person or unable to rectify the issue yourself at home you would have to pack it all up and take it back to bunnings just for a small issue that would prevent you from using the entire pressure washer. Poor Quality control from Gerni in my instance so just be aware. Otherwise the unit performs well and is easy to use.... Show more

My wife was a sceptic until she tried it
I bought this machine to do a job and it did it. As mentioned in the title, my wife said she was very skeptical about its performance until she tried it and from then on I had difficulty getting off her so I could have a go. As far as performance goes, I had a light tan coloured concrete tile balcony to clean which I thought wasn't too bad to start with until I hit it with the Gerni 5000. Brought it up like new. Out the back, started out with black concrete tiles, after I'd finished, still black tiles but not so diiirty. Only problem, the winding handle storage unit. Not good. Gerni really needs to go back to the drawing board address this problem. I spent about half an hour getting the unforgivingly coiled high-pressure hose on it to find out that it was on back to ... Gerni really needs to go back to the drawing board address this problem. I spent about half an hour getting the unforgivingly coiled high-pressure hose on it to find out that it was on back to front. I then spent another 10 mins to get it off and another 10 to get it back on the right way. But still then you cant just pull out the hose more than 6 inches (15cm) without having to manually unwrap it. Oh, did I mention it is actually impossible to have the coiled snake attach itself to the winding unit as depicted in the instructions. Interestingly there are no instructions on which way to put the trampoline spring style high pressure hose on the winding device, which would have very handy. Very frustrating. So for now, it will just remain in its natural coiled attitude around the handle. However, this does not diminish from it performance. Pressure was great and relentless. I'm giving it 4 stars for performance (I've only used it for the one job so far but I will use it again for sure if I can wrestle it off my wife). It would have gotten 5 stars but for the winding thing :(... Show more

Nice machine with lots of extras.
Used a few times and I think it's pretty good. Previously I had a smaller size Karcher. I have not used any of the attachments other than the lance with both attachments. I found one of the lance attachments to be pretty useless I just settled on using the attachment where you can increase or decrease the pressure and at high pressure the width of the spray is roughly 5cm wide when used up close to what you are cleaning. Overall I think it's a good machine no issues at all I am hoping to get 20 years from it as I got from the karcher. The only thing of note is it makes a high pitched squeal when you press the trigger I assume its the pressure releasing in the unit ? Overall pretty good
I purchased the 5000 model to replace the 130-1 which had served me well over several years.Although the. 5000 has similar specifications to the 130-1, it’s not nearly as robust and I suspect, as a consequence, it won’t last quite as long. The process of attaching the hose to the reel has got me beaten and I’ve still been unable to do it - there are no instructions in the otherwise acceptable User Manual. Bunnings now appear to be the sole distributor in Australia and no one there has been able to explain to me how to get this done.... Show more

Replacement for old pressure washer - its great
Got this to replace my old machine (different brand) and finally got to use it to clean my driveway. Must say it did a fantastic job. I purchased the bigger power patio cleaner which made the job so much easier, faster and better than my older machine. I am still yet to use all the attachments.... Show more

Upgraded to 5000 from an old Scoprion
Well what can I say - I wish I had made the change sooner.I had an old Scorpion - 20 Years old, and the hose burst.I looked at a large number of options - and after much deliberation I decided to only get the 5k model - was initially planning the 5300.What can I say - I am blown away by the Gerni 5000.What used to take 2 hours - I can do in 5 minutes - I kid you not.Only gripe, the instructions are not quite there about the rolling up the cable - but I managed to figure out - not the best system for rolling up cable - but a lot better than what I am used to - which is nothing... Works. But poor desigin
It works as intended. But the hose it comes with is very stiff. Will always coil up. Even when you, straighten it out. 20 seconds into using it. You're gonna have 4 loops. Also the hose reel is useless. You can't can't roll it in and out. It's literally for only storing the hose. No matter what combination you try and put the hose in it. To reel in and out the hose will kink etc. For those factors alone. Very regrettable purchase. Seen cheaper karcher ones that out perform it. I think if you're gonna go gerni. You've gotta spend atleast 5/600 and get the one with a usable reel. And the hose on that one is a lot more freidnly. Does not kink etc.... Show more

Works well
We bought this a few weeks ago.Despite some reviews saying otherwise, my husband found it easy to assemble. He used it on our wooden deck and sandstone pavers and they came up well. We bought the all purpose cleaner and will redo the pavers with a higher solution for a further clean as we recently moved in and the pavers obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while. Overall we're very happy with it.... Show more
