To start with delivery from SCAN, I ordered in the afternoon and paid for next day morning delivery and got the card the next day at 8:30am, great quick service. On the GPU itself, it has been a great upgrade for me from the 5700XT. The 5700XT was pretty good for 1440p gaming but 4K with FSR it was still struggling quite a bit. The 4080 Super is doing great on games like the Witcher 3 and cyberpunk, with reported frame rates of around 120 and 80 respectively, running at 4K with raytracing and all settings on max - I have been using DLSS with these games, so native performance would not be so great. Honestly though, being able to comfortably game with no frame drops in 4K is brilliant, absolute game changer.

This may not be a popular opinion, but this is the best version of the 4080 Super. It comes overclocked but there is a ton of room to get more out of it, the power limit can be increased by 25% if you want. It runs cool no matter what I do to it, the cooler is huge and it cools like a huge cooler should. The size and weight are substantial, and Gigabyte has devised the best solution for supporting the GPU and preventing sag out of any of the makers, except the Founder Edition which doesn't need it (and is great if you don't mind coil whine). Their solution attaches to the case stand-offs behind the GPU and they have a connection point on the rear of the shroud, you don't even see the support unless you look really hard. Great GPU, fast, runs cool and quiet.

Too start with, Im still torn about keeping this card but im past returnable date to get my money back. I spent the first week dealing with glitches, freezes, shutdowns, and stutters. It was everything, but it was frequent enough to be a pain, and the performance was underwhelming. My games that play are:Battlefield 2042Battlefield 1Genshin impactCyberpunk 2077New world**Many moreSome things were too bright while others extremely dark as if the contrast was maxxed out. In the days waiting for it to arrive i decided to go through everything again and see if i could weed the issues, because it was stalling on my desktop as well. Turns out it was GIGABYTE's software!! I downloaded the vanilla nvidia geforce experience software and removed GIGABYTE's software. Since then it has run smoothly at maxed out settings on most all my games. FPS is running in high range of the reports/reviews that ive read.I returned the 7900 xtx (i wonder often if i should have at least tried it to cure my itch).Currently my 2 tracked fps games are-Battlefield 2042 which is averaging around 100 FPS at 4k with most settings on ultra, a few unnecessary things turned down because of pvp fps undergrowth disadvantages. I had to turn ray tracing off because it did cause performance issues at this resolution on this game.-Cyberpunk 2077 runs great. All settings maxed at highest settings, 4k, ray tracing on still pulling around 115 fps.I will say after a few hours of playing, i do notice some stutters, and temps are staying below 60C with the amount of air i have blowing through.Overall i do really like this card, but i do wonder if i made the right choice. I also know that if i had bought the 7900 xtx to start with, id be questioning myself about whether i should have bought this card instead.

This card has been very good to me. It runs at very low temps in my Montech King 95 pro case which has 3x120MM intake fans directly beneath the PCIE slots. 3dmark TimeSpy and Port Royal scores are ~5% above the average curves largely I think thanks to this cards excellent cooling when provided fresh air. It Runs ~63° for me in Furmark2 under full load and in Overwatch 2 (which has graphics stats in that can be enabled the UI) it runs at 36° in game at 1080p. It’s a big honking card but if your case can feed it fresh air and you want cooling at the expense of size, weight, and well, expense then this 4 slot card is a winner.
Got this card because my set up has both a 2k high refresh monitor and 4k TV. So, wanted flexibility and power that would last me for a good while. Thus far it hasn't disappointed at all, though my value is likely skewed since I bought open-box for a little below MSRP on a standard 4080 Super. Easily clears 144fps on games like Starfield with max settings and DLSS 3, and even Red Dead Redemption II sits between 70-90 fps at 4k with ALL the settings turned up.Does the value beat the likes of 4060 or 4070Ti Super? Probably not, but 10-15% gains over the later is worth it for me, personally
So far so good.. Upgraded from a 2060S and it is performing as anticipated. I'm running max quality on all games and performance is steady. Benchmarks match other similar setups. Gygabytes OC/Silent switch is nice. The argb looks great with my setup. Although the card is huge. Just fits in my mid MATX case. The anti-sag bracket is nice as well, so no worries about that. The only problem so far is random power offs, but I was pushing it with a 750W Psu.. Just bought a 1000W, I hope it fixes the issue. Get this card, currently one of the best values due to the $200 MSRP price reduction on 4080 supers.
Going from an Radeon RX 580 to this behemoth of a GPU is nothing short of a drastic change, and I genuinely can't complain one bit about that!First off, the card is HUGE. It's absolutely massive, but even so it doesn't get nearly as hot as I assumed it would! The triple-fan design is plenty to keep everything cool inside the card, barely reaching up to 60 degrees Celsius during the stress tests that I put it through.Second off, the shift in performance that I saw from migrating to this card was nothing short of almost overwhelming. Being able to turn all of my games from low to high is a very liberating feeling when I'm trying to get the best quality possible for my games. As an added bonus, the card looks amazing as well! The RGB is great, the exterior is really nice, and it's just so fun to look at a glowing GIGABYTE logo when I look at my PC.The only thing I will say is a warning to those who are building their PC's: MAKE SURE YOUR CASE IS BIG ENOUGH TO FIT THIS WITH A RADIATOR!!Overall, incredible card.Getting this at $50 above MSRP was the biggest surprise to me, as well. Thanks Best Buy for the incredible deal!!
I have never gotten a GPU before as I used a gaming laptop for my entire “computer” lifetime. Seeing how this GPU is top 3 on the market and gotten a discount from the original 4080, I decided to build a PC. It was a very large card as it looked like it took up a quarter of the NZXT H9 Flow Case. I also vertically mounted it on a Cooler Master V3 Mount. For a first time builder it was mostly my being careful not to break stuff so it did take longer than I thought. I was extremely blown away by how powerful this thing runs. Cyberpunk on 1440p Ultra with Ray Tracing Overdrive and Frame Gen gets me 120+ fps. What an absolute monster of a card. You won’t regret it if you have a 3060 or older card!!
Gigabyte wasn't my first choice for a 4080 Super but with how difficult it's been to get a card anywhere, when I saw this was in stock I had to move.Boy have I been pleasantly surprised! The first thing that impressed me was their support bracket design. It screws directly in to the shroud and is supported by an anchor that screws in/stands off from the motherboard. I guess mileage may very depending on your motherboard and case but but for a run-of-the-mill ATX motherboard, the support was easy to install and holds the monster card perfectly flat.As for performance, it's everything I expected and more! I'm not playing super mega ultra quality raytraced Cyberpunk so I can't comment on that (though I've heard it performs well in that regard). But I'm running Helldivers 2, Nightingale and Enshrouded at max everything and I'm having no issues getting max frames on a 144Hz monitor at 1440p. And even under 90-100% utilization, I'm rarely over 60c with fan speeds at 50% so it's cool and quiet.Highly recommend!
Two small complaints -1) The anti sag is a bit of clumsy and blocks nvme slots. Minor inconvenience when you need change hard drives.2) they gave wrong screw for the bracket but fortunately I have tens of extra laying around so not big deal. Now the plus .. oh my oh my this card is a beast and so awesome. The best part is the quiet bios which runs it at lower noise level than every other 4080s yet still handles every single game at 4k at max setting. This option along values more than the extra $50.Recommend with two thumbs up!!
