After reading reviews on this site about this appliance and needing to urgent help in cooling my stand alone small studio, I bought one. What a disappointment. It does contribute in any way to reducing the temperature and, in fact, my small desk fan does a far better job. I can not - and do not -recommend this cooler to anyone as it in no way lives up to it's product description. A very unimpressive item and a total waste of money.

This doesn’t actually produce any “cooling” at all, Even if you put ice cold water and an ice brick in it.After being in use for 20 mins the fan died anyways.I returned the product for a refund.
Purchased this to use on the back patio. Does a great job and may use it in the bedroom. Is excellent at cooling and would recommend
This is a good little unit. As with all evaporative coolers you need to be prepared for the odd smell at first for about an hour or two but after that it’s fantastic. Especially when you put cold water from the fridge in and an ice pack then it cranks the cool air!
It works by evaporating water. This would be excellent if I lived in Mount Isa or somewhere with low humidity, but in Brisbane or anywhere with high humidity, I felt even hotter when I put water in it and turned on the 'cooling' mode.
Castor leg snapped within 7 days....in my opinion design fault. Worked ok but had to replace with another make
