I bought this after buying the eau de toilette which has a lighter, and in my opinion more what I consider a classic vertiver scent. However, this perfume lasts longer and still has a delicious scent that is reminiscent of deep forest and fresh field, musky and earthy tones. I love it and get compliments. It is a nice way to start my day after a shower and as I get dressed. I put it on heavy, about 5 pumps. One or two if going to yoga or the gym.

I’ve been using this product for the last 30 years, it’s the only one I useI lived in Paris France for a couple of years and I just to buy it at their store at Place VendomeI highly recommend itIt’s soft and still it last effectively

I gave Guerlain one last chance to do Vetiver well, the way it used to be in the 1970s. Well, they did it well. The new Vetiver Perfume (NOT the eau de toilette) smells great, it lasts for hours, and brings back the scent and memories their 1970 Vetiver did. I know not what all other Guerlain perfumes smell like, but this one gets an A+ in my book. The only bad thing about this Vetiver Perfume is its price. $175.00 + taxes, etc. is way too much, especially in today's economy. It was very sad that people like me had to buy vintage Vetiver bottles of eau de toilette on Ebay, in order to get the true Vetiver scent of the 1970s. A premium upgrade to the original Vetiver EDT. Greener, earthy, woodsy, almost leathery with smoke. What a wonderful dry down. A personal scent that stays close, but offers whiffs of surprise throughout the day.
