Bought this to replace an ageing combo-amp. I'm delighted. I can now properly hear the amp/pedal emulations from the multi-effects unit that I play through, rather than a version that's compromised and coloured by my old amp. On the downside, that's one less excuse I've got for my iffy playing. Build quality seems really good. 5 Stars out of 5!

They are perfect for small, tight stages (which I have to fit APB on at one of our venues), and for bigger stages, I may use them as side fills.And honestly, for being an 8", lightweight and good looking speaker, these really put out. Of course I don't expect to get anything realistic to 120hz and below, and I use a high pass filter to roll that off. But these do have a really nice warm sound, and the clarity in the vocals is definitely there.

I've had the FRFR-108 for about a month now. I use it with an Avid Eleven Rack. It is quite simply superb. Light and small. It packs a big punch. I've used my Eleven Rack with PAs and power amps into various speaker configurations. But I was always unhappy with the results outside of the studio. The Headrush FRFR-108 is superb. I now have the tone I wanted and only seemed to be able to get with studio monitors. Small and light and extremely loud. Good enough for any gig (especially as it is fitted with a balanced out for PA or Desk input). It is amazing to hear what a punchy full sound you get from a little 8 inch system like this. I have the Alesis version of this amp (identical amp just different branding). She works fantastic for jamming around the house. Clear tone. I've played my Gibson Les Paul Custom thru it, sounds great. Deep and chunky. Played my Trussart Strat thru it and it has a great twang. Then I'll throw my G&L in there and it still sound great.Now, when it comes to playing on my electric drum kit. Snare sounds great, even my crash, China, ride, and hi-hat sounds good, but as soon as I hit either of the two floor toms, it just bottoms out. It can't handle that low end. It handles the kick just fine, it's just the floor toms. I have the 8-inch so I can't speak for the 12.If you're looking for an inexpensive practice/jamming amp, I do recommend this one.If you're looking for ... That way, I can control the volume of the monitor to my liking without messing with the signal that goes to the sound guy.Over all, I am very satisfied with the speaker in its tone, ease of carrying and use and most importantly the price.The tone, reliability, durability and ease of use at a 200 dollar mark is insane, and this speaker is just that.

It's plenty loud but when playing with other musicians if the cabinet is on the floor I sometimes have trouble hearing myself without turning up too loud. The FRFR-108 was just the solution . I tried placing it on a stand and ran my Yamaha keyboard into it. Again it sounded great so it would make a great keyboard monitor or amp. The unit does not come with an instruction manual so I wasn't sure what the contour switch did. It turns out that it acts as a low end cut off. With my keyboard it sounded a little muddy on some patches so I hit the contour switch and it cleaned right up but still had plenty of low end. With my guitar I like the added low end. Whether just practicing alone or jammimg with other musicians it makes my setup sound better. This thing is plenty loud but I'm not sure it is 2000 watts loud. The other great thing is that it is very compact and weighs less than 20 pounds (I'm not into hauling around heavy 4x12 cabinets anymore) I am anxious to hear how it performs as a vocal monitor. At this price you can't go wrong. Very versatile. I will probably buy another one sometime soon. Oh and it sounds great with just my HD 500 without my Egnater.
Got two to create stereo sound.Not used them enough to form a full opinion yet. Some people report far too much bass from these. I got this straight out of the box too. A few tweaks to the EQ on my Line 6 Helix LT seems to have it under control, but I need to play around more to be certain. Other reviewers suggest lifting the speakers off the ground helps - not tried that yet.I've rated the durability as 'Good' based on how they feel because I've not had them long enough to know - obviously!

Big amps,stay home! I have 1x10" cabs,2x12" cabs,4x10" cabs,sealed choices,all kinds of speakers. I am blessed, except they ALL colour my GT-1 hand-tweaked patches/presets in live situations. These 108's even work for stereo tops and a sub, a studio level wedge monitor,etc.We have recently purchased another set of the 108 and 112's, and that's in the middle of all this C-19. I play at church and we run all IEM and have to have a silent stage. This allows me to run my line 6 pod go into this at home to get an idea of my tone before we take the stage. My practice amps give me a different sound. This does a fairly good job of giving me my actual tone the sound operator is getting. Lol on a side not this makes a stupid loud blue tooth speaker. Seriously it allows me to run my practices tracks in one input and my guitar into the other and allows you to jam along. For using at home it's awesome.
