Science Diet Science Diet Dog Food, Premium, Chicken & Barley Recipe, Adult 1-6, Small Bites - 5 lb

We went through a rough phase where my dog would not eat anything. She hated all dry food, even when we put toppers on it like chicken broth or whipped cream, she still didn’t eat it. We tried around 6 different brands, from Purina to Merrick to Wellness and nothing! She hated them all! Until we tried Hill’s Science Diet. We didn’t even had to put on any toppers on, she loveddd it and she hasn’t had any problems eating again. She’s right on her weight and her hair is so shiny. We love Hill’s!

It's an okay food. I bought it because it is really tiny bites which is perfect for my 4lb chihuahua. I was looking for something with high protien without alot of fillers, this has more than I thought. It's alright and will continue using it until I find a better replacement food. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He has skin problems so I supplement food with fish oil, with contaminated removed of coarse, that's something to watch for. My dog really likes the flavor of this food, he gobbles it down.

I then decided to take my own route and try science diet. Bad batch from TSC

I normally purchase this same brand from Atwoods, even though TSC is closer to me. On this purchase I went ahead and got the dog food at TSC. My dogs got diarrhea for 3 days from this food. I thought maybe they had found something in the yard but my yard is fenced and no one has visited to give them something they should of not had. I'm pretty sure it was the dog food. I won't purchase here again. Reason 1 is that i paid more than i would of at Atwoods and 2 is my dogs got sick. I dont change their diet or feed scraps because they have sensitive stomachs.

At my last appointment, my veterinarian shared with me the possible effects of a grain-free diet that I had my dog on, due to a sensitive stomach when I first brought him home. I asked "if this was your dog, what would you feed him?" She gave me two names, one of which was Hills. I switched 2 years ago and have even tried different flavors (including weight management because my boy Maximus is an American Eskimo dog and they have a tendency to gain weight quickly...not that the daily Greenie and table scraps helps any!)I will say when I brought this specific flavor home, he was over-the-moon. Definitely going to keep this flavor in rotation! Oh, and he has zero regurgitation issues with this brand!

Great food = happy, healthy pets.

We have been rescuing dogs for years now. Most of the dogs have come to us is less than good health. After some time with a consistent diet of Hills Science Diet, their fur has transformed and is shiny and thick, their energy is up and they are different dogs than they were. We’ve adopted hospice dogs that we’re predicted to live a couple of months, at best, that have perked up and lived two years or longer. We’re convinced it’s from a good diet and lots of love. There’s no reason for us to use any other product. We’ll stick with what works.

Pugs love it ! All the hills range are excellent.

My dogs love hills science diet! After a trial switch over to royal canin (because it was more cost effective for larger bag) that gave them allergies unfortunately. Now we are back on their favourite hills! The kibble is small and great for pugs. Highly recommend any of the hills range ? I've used several varieties including senior small bites for a Jack Russell + perfect weight + adult smalls bites and all varieties have been excellent and palatable. The only downside is the cost is a little on the more expensive side when you have 2 dogs.

Pup is Obsessed

I bought this for my Mom’s chihuahua/doxie/terrier mix because she was looking for a higher quality dry food & her dog didn’t seem to be interested in the current dry food anymore. She did the typical gradual mix in of the new food with the old to switch over. From the very first day of mixing in the Hill’s dry food, her dog “inhaled” his dry food! Suffice it to say, he loves it!

Save your dog

While feeding a grocery store dog food my dog developed a heart condition and had to take him to several veterinarians and was told that he had heart failure and could die at any moment, one suggested that he should be on a better dog food so I went to Tractor Supply and bought Hills science diet small bites even though I have a big dog he prefers smaller bites. That was 2 years ago and I can not believe it neither can the veterinarians. The lesson here is feed good quality food like Hills science diet! grocery store food doesn’t have the same nutrients and is like eating fast food all the time.

All 6 of my Chihuahuas have been raised on this top notch nutritional dog feed. Each small bite packed full of outstanding ingredients.
