I woke up one morning and my cat was screaming in pain. He kept going in the litter box and pushing, but nothing was coming out. We ended up rushing him to the emergency vet and they gave him antibiotics and put him on this food. I swear this stuff has saved his life because he began urinating in two days and has been urinating more often since being on this food. I don’t know what is but he also drinking more water which the doctor said is why he ended up with a blockage because he doesn’t drink enough water.. makes him want to drink more water. He even likes it if I put a few pebbles in the water-it is the perfect size and texture crunchy but not rockhard, the packaging is amazing. It has a Velcro top, which seals immediately when you stop pouring! I am so ... MoreI woke up one morning and my cat was screaming in pain. It is a little bit expensive but the small bag last him two months so it’s definitely doable!

I was very happy to find OKO as an alternative to the litter we used because it had very little dust and was packaged well. But OKO 'modernized ' what was good and working and now it has new packaging. Last order of the litter we received was 99% dust. Seriously. Boxes were protecting clusters of litter in shipping and whatever dust occurred stayed at the bottom of the box. With New soft bags entire content is getting pulverized while in shipping. So when you open and pour the litter out you get a huge cloud of dust and every time my cats go in, there is a huge cloud of dust in the air. I am very concerned because my cats have respiratory problemsI contacted Chewy, described the issue with new packaging affecting quality. I hope our reviews will alarm customer and bring awareness to the manufacturers.

As others have reported, the Hills Cd Chicken and Vegetable stew has changed. Take a look at the label (which is upside down in recent deliveries) and you will see a chunky chicken stew. Now it is watery, and pureed. I noted this when my dog started turning up his nose at the food he has been eating for years... I called Chewy, and they claimed there had not been a change until i pointed out to them that the pictures on their own website show the label vs what is in the can, which is different. I called Hills, and they claimed there has been no change, but took my info and wished me luck. I am researching other foods at this point. And, I love the customer service at Chewy, but this experience is not acceptable. Chewy, you are better than this...don't tell me that ... MoreAs others have reported, the Hills Cd Chicken and Vegetable stew has changed. I switched both of my cats to Hill's c/d after my four-year-old male had a urethral obstruction. We caught the obstruction very early and the vet was able to get him taken care of with little issue. They recommended that I switch to the c/d diet as a preventive measure, and my boy has been healthy and happy ever since. I use this and the corresponding dry food.My boy is very picky when it comes to wet food. This is actually one of the few wet foods he will eat at all, and it’s certainly the one he likes best—which is great considering he’s the reason I buy it. I love that he is getting extra moisture in his diet and that he seems to truly enjoy the food, as he will need to eat it for the rest of his life. I was worried and this because of all the reviews talking about this being watery. I opened the first can and the one thing I noticed is the smell. This food smells really good! It's a little watery, but not bad. It's thicker like a stew, which is what it's supposed to be. My dog at the whole can her first meal. I can only give her one a day being that she is extremely picky and finicky with her food. But the cost is well worth it if she'll eat it. My vet only recommends this brand, so I wish they'd face more selection for small dogs. But this one smells and looks like real food.
I have purchase their products for many years. Recent cases of CD Chicken Stew have not only gone way up in price but the quality of the food is terrible! It's like buying a can of liquid! Hardly anything but chicken broth! My dog got sick last night and got terrible diarrhea! I open a couple other cases of food with different lot numbers and they were all the same, liquid and no chunks! My local VCA Vet looked at the cans and was shocked as well.... Hills needs to take care of this immediately for the sake of our pets healthy! No one should purchase this brand until they fix the problem or close down the company!! I never complain and have used this food for many years but over $60 dollars for a case of canned liquid is very bad!
Chewy.com gets five stars from me but Hill's? This food is $56+ for a CASE OF 12-24 used to be standard. These cans are only 12.5 oz. This past year as corporate greed increased the price & they're consistently decreasing the amount of food in the can . So I'm expecting them to reduce can size & further increase the price. They have the market cornered. The food is also light/not fillling. My 12lb Maltese is ALWAYS HUNGRY to the point of asking for more. He needs 3 cases/36 cans monthly, ($160 a month) to ensure he has enough. Chewy is excellent. Hill's needs a moral compass check.I'd only recommend this product bc I don't know of any other brand my dog can eat. He has struvites/bladder stones.
This food was prescribed by the vet for my dog Bella who had surgery for bladder stones. Hopefully this specific food will help keep stones away. Chewy who delivers this food automatically told us that it was out of stock with absolutely no warning and said they would let us know when they received it. I called back to check to see if it came in and they never called to find out what the problem was and when they would have it back in stock. Just a little frustrated because Petsmart didn't have it either and didn't know when they would have it back in stock. So you were a life saver for us and Bella. I do prefer the 12oz can but at least you had the 5oz. The cd Multicare chicken flavor is awful and I wouldn't feed it to my dog.
The last case I received every can had what appeared as black mold on the inside of the lid. Then suddenly the item was listed as out of stock. Checked Hill's website & it is not even listed. Noted that the smaller cans are now available. But no one at Chewy or my vet could provide an adequate explanation why oNO ONE has this 1 particular variety of prescription canned food available that my dog has been on for over 2 years. Also very disturbed about the issue with the black substance on the lids & explanation that it is just a chemical reaction. Why wasn't this product recalled by Hill's! I am strongly considering trying another product & definitely not one by Hill's
Our nuetered male cat Luke does eat this chicken and veg stew, but only when we mix it 50/50 with fancy feast chicken. when we try feeding him this alone, he wont touch it. He is a 13lb cat and does drink more water after eating this which is the main think for preventing urinary blockage. I would prefer that he eat it exclusively, but i guess overall price wise and long as i mix it with 1/2 fancy feast chicken pate , it does make this prescription stretch a bit. Everyone on here knows that prescription cat food is high priced. and it really jumped up this year. Prescription food is not cheap, but cheaper than a catheter surgery. For dry food he eats a little bit of Royal Canin SO , he does not eat much maybe 15 morsels a day, but he eats it better than he did the ... MoreOur nuetered male cat Luke does eat this chicken and veg stew, but only when we mix it 50/50 with fancy feast chicken. when we try feeding him this alone, he wont touch it.
