My 8-year-old Ginger cat was overweighted, however, the annual blood test and half-year check were fine for the past 7 years. Then local vet recommended Hills Metabolic cat food Weight management for him to lose some weight. After ten months, he lost 2 kg and weak on joints. Now the vet diagnosed Diabetic on him from the extremely high Blood Glouces Level. I understand that it might be an individual case but please consider before you feed your cats. Do some researches on what people said from reviews in USA (where hills produce).

Fat cat likes this now getting trimmer

She seems a bit thinner after the vet put her on this. She likes the flavour. She is fairly fussy. Normally only eats Fancy Feast, doesn't like the other supermarket wet foods. Tho does like kibbles which are like potato chips in my opinion- everyone likes them but they are so bad for your health.

Fat cat lost weight!

My Chonky boy is obsessed with food and will literally eat anything! I put him on metabolic wet and dry and have finally seen weight loss results! He was over 8.5kg and is now down to 7.4kg and a healthy BCS of 3.5. He's far more active and does a lot more than just sleep since being on nothing but metabolic. I won't use anything other than the Hills brand for my cats now.

Fussy Fat Tortie losing weight!

I spoiled my cat fat during lockdowns She weighed in at a whopping 6.8kgs and the vet said I had to get her weight down 3kgs. She is a long haired Tortie with a very large hanging pouch so it's hard to tell how fat she had gotten. She is finicky and didn't like the Hills Diet right away, (she had always preferred seafood) - it took over a week before she started to enjoy the dry and even longer for the wet food. She prefers to eat only about 5g at a time, a few times a day and the wet food as her night dinner.When I took her back to the vet a month later she had lost 1.2kgs already! I know part of this is due to her getting more exercise (new kitten in the house) but I am very pleased with the results so far.

Good biscuits for weight management

Hills Metabolic

This is the only dry cat food I could buy that actually helped my cat lose weight. I tried others with no success. This was the one my vet recommended when another leading brand did not work.I think they are a reputable make although I haven’t really researched well into the quality. But it lasts long and keeps my cat full. It does take a bit of time to lose especially if they are eating elsewhere but after the first bagful he lost 200gms which for him was good because he lost nothing on the other ones I tried. I would recommend giving it a go. Pet shop delivered this quickly and smoothly with no problems.

My cat was happy to eat metabolic for 6 months but won't touch it now. I question the wisdom of these super expensive pet foods. Variety is important. Perhaps for a short time during a health crisis they do the job but my cat has rejected one costly fashionable brand after the other. And every time I end up with a big bag that cost me a fortune he won't eat.

This product is working. My cat has lost 200 grams so far and isn’t always looking for food. Before he started on this diet he was always on the kitchen bench looking for food or pinching food from the dog.

Weight loss

This product works! My huge ragdoll cat has been eating two rations a day of this food for 12 months. The weight loss is gradual. He has reduced from 9kg to his goal weight of 7kg. I highly recommend this food for overweight cats. He loves the taste and transitioned to it easily. My other two cats are not overweight but the vet said it would be ok for them to eat this food too, they love it.
