Huda Beauty Matte Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette - Cool

I am in my matte era but I was hesitant to purchase this matte cool tones palette because of the price. Plus even if the packaging is super pretty and I love the color story I can find the same kind of colors in my collection. But I was not disappointed ! Love how the formula is very pigmented and blendable. It’s nice to have 2 cream shadows into the pan and you can use these as base or layer them on top of the powder without looking cakey. I can create a variety of look with this palette and for sure, I will reach out for it more often during spring. Only downside for me, you absolutely need to set with powder the cream shadows because they crease easily if you don’t. And I would have loved the « lilac » cream shadow to be a powder and not a cream shadow.

This is a beautiful palette! I have noticed some inconsistency between huda palettes like the formula changes from palette to palette but this one has the nicer formula that I personally prefer. The shadows feel very light on the eyes. They don't feel heavy or caked up. They're wonderfully pigmented but also buildable and blend well. I love these little 9 pan palettes! Ive recently added a few to my collection and now I want them all lol the mauve palette has a great variety of shades going from really light to really dark with midtones as well. And also has a small mirror. I would recommend this palette.

Huda Beauty Palette are overall very good as far as quality, price can be higher the quality is here. This palette is very nice for someone who doesn’t like shimmer and want all in 1 in a matte palette. The colors are beautiful and can be worn on every skin tones to me. You have your transition shade and a lighter color to go on your eye base which would be for a every day look but you can also wear it at night by intensifying with the darker color. The packaging is really the same as her other type of palette, nothing special on that. The colors are very pigmented and blend very well. It’s on the cool side. A very nice palette to have into your collection.

It's a perfect "neutral" palette!!

Just grabbed this during the sale and so glad I did! So versatile for natural looks or as a base for glam, small for travel and packaging is super nice and sturdy. Quality is 100% Huda. The colour story is perfect for the "festival" vibe this spring summer. I am a fair cool pink undertone for reference (used my cat to white balance LoL so the picture is true to colour IRL) Loved that she gave us 2 creams (bottom two swatches) and they are waterproof. Will say though, there is 3 colours that show up warm on a true cool tone- one is the top right cream (bottom swatch) and the other two are the bottom right shadows (second two from the top in the swatches) But they will still work for us. It’s ‘ok’….but wish it was cooler.

I’ve had most of Huda’s large palettes and her coolest toned one ‘Rose quartz’ is my absolute favourite, so was really pleased she bought this out. I know the formula in the smaller palettes is never the same as the larger, as they’re both made in different countries, but it’s usually quite good. The cream to powder formula I found difficult to work with, with not enough colour pay off. Also difficult to blend. Most of the other shades all tend to lean warm on me, apart from the lilac shade, which is really odd. Not cool toned

This is my first Huda palette and I bought it the day it launched but I wish I had waited for verified reviews and photos as this is not a cool toned palette. I've never worn warm toned eyeshadow because they make me look sick so my entire collection is cool toned and this color story is almost entirely warm pink shades with 2 cool purples and 1 neutral deep plum. Not only that, this 9 pan palette contains 3 sets of "twins", shades that are almost identical on the eyes, which significantly limits the number of different looks that can be created. This is simply poor design and editing. The formula itself, while powdery, has buildable pigmentation and blends well but unfortunately, it doesn't matter how good the quality is if the color story is too warm for me to use.

Not flattering

I should’ve returned this palette but tried to make it work. Not flattering at all. I thought this would be cute for everyday looks that are a bit different from my usual. I have cool-neutral fair skin and green/hazel eyes so I thought the tone and purples would be great. Not so. The colours are not as cool as expected. Something in the undertones matches redness I have in my skin exactly. The result is that all the colours make me I look like I have allergies or I’ve been crying.All the colours looked the same. The lighter colours seemed like they have no pigment at all on me, even though I used a primer.If you think you may have similar tones in your skin, steer clear of this palette!

Really nice all matte 9-pan that performs well

This is one of Huda's better done 9-pan shadow palettes. I love the idea of an all matte palette not because I often do all matte eye looks (I don't) but it's a nice option to have in my makeup collection to complement some of my single-pan or all-shimmer shadows. The cream to powder formula is very nice and adds to the versatility and the regular mattes are pigmented and blend nicely as well. While I enjoy purples the most of all color stories my only gripe with this palette is that i wish it offered more variation in terms of the color story. There are no true taupes and its really just pinks and purples of varying tones/shades which kind of limits some of the looks you can create. I like how smooth the application was for these eyeshadows. They are definitely pigmented. It was so easy to blend with these shadows for me. I like the color stories for both of these eyeshadows. I am usually going for a bright color type of color stories for my eyeshadows, but I can go for these sometimes. I can still make these eyeshadow shades pop as well. I like the smokey eyes I can get with these shadows, especially when you wear these shades with Huda Beauty Cream Kohl Longwear Eye Pencil and her Legit Lashes Mascara. They look so good together.
